First time I tried 3 months Premium Membership on Silver Singles for AUD269.95. And when it's nearly expired, they will direct debit my card. But because it didn't have any credit in it, so they couldn't take it. I've been scammed few times before, so I really don't want to happened again. After thinking for about couple months, I've decided to extend my Premium Membership again for the same amount. They've approved it within the next day and sent me a confirmation email saying welcoming me back and thanking me for my purchased but it didn't stated the periode. After nearly 3 weeks they blocked me so I can't see the members photos or message them! This is not right!

Silver Singles is the WORST dating website I have ever been on - and I have tried a lot of them over the years.
99% of the "matches" they send you have no photos and 75% of the "matches" live way too far away.
If there is a photo it is usually only 1 and often is sideways or you can even tell what the person looks like. You can't search for anyone which is ridiculous. The content of the profiles is usually not helpful at all in learning about the person. Completing my own profile was laborious and annoying.
I wish I'd gotten my money back right away! Horrible dating website!

I had quite a ride with Silver Singles. The service needs a checkbox or list for political leanings (especially in these fraught times!) so that the application does not insult and anger the clientele by offering matches to liberals of people who say things like "liberals should be fed to the sharks." I was sent a number of matches where the man indicated he hated liberals, but the feeding to the shark one was the last straw. If it can't sort out this sort of mismatch, the service is VERY POOR. I was so angry at that last "match" that I ended my subscription and I will never return.

Have tried several dating sites over the years with some success, leading to dating and 2 long term relationships. This is the first time I've been on a site and haven't met anyone. You can't communicate or see profiles without paying. Initially the site asks for an extortionate amount of money (like $129 a month), when you don't bite, they eventually offer you membership for 75% off that's reasonable but not cheap for what they provide. $60 for one month, $100 or so for 3 months, and a yearly package for just shy of $200. They also offer coaching for an extra $200 fee. Of the 2 people who wrote to me, the site claimed that they were scammers after I cancelled my membership and gave my telephone number to them before leaving. One never contacted me privately. The other did and I believe he was a scammer. I sent several smiles to suggested matches and all I got back were rejection letters. You can't tell who likes you in this site. There is a section on the App alone that shows mutual matches. In 3 months I didn't get one single mutual like.

The site was difficult to navigate. You couldn't search on your own, only respond to suggested matches, most of which don't match your preferences. They edit your photos to show mostly facial close ups. The site frequently freezes.

The site is expensive and more concerned about taking your money than providing a quality experience and service. It's not user friendly, is not conducive to making connections, has scammers on it, and there seems to be few true active members.

Bottom line... waste of time and money.

I am a 68 y. O. male, I live in Oklahoma City, with a population of about 1 mill. People in the metroplex. I sat my preferences for 50 miles, seeking women 55-72, no smoking, slim/slender, muscular, athletic/fit, curvy, about average, and Christain. About the only likes or smiles I got was overweight women, and women that looked like they belonged in an assisted living center. The site kept telling me to expand my preferences. The only thing I really wanted to change was the search area or mileage from my hometown. I then started sending likes and messages to women in cities like Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Denver, etc. The problem I had now is nobody was interested in long distance relationships. I was so frustrated and still had 3 months left of subscription. I took my pictures down and I started getting photo requests. I put my pictures back on but these women that supposedly requested photos were nowhere to be found! I finally got fed up and deleted my account.

I joined this website two weeks ago in an attempt to meet someone. What I found out was that the profiles of the members were all fake and bogus! Scammers are combing this website collecting your personal information in an attempt to do something illegal with it. Not one member was interested in chatting or getting to know me personally but would instead ask inappropriate questions about my personal life. My advice to anyone, beware of this site because your information may be in jeopardy!

I, like others here, found that the "matches" were ALL beyond the 50 mile radius. Of the 4 profiles that I had chats with, 3 were scammers. The one profile that appeared genuine and I had several chats with deleted her account.

I was only on there 3 weeks before I deleted my account and membership. Now, I'll have to be vigilant to see if they try to charge me for a renewal.

So, I say stay far away from this one!

A horrible site. I got my money back through my bank. And the bug-gars are asking again for money to renew my subscription. They said if i don't pay it will go to a collection dept. When I initially called them... it was in INDIA and i was told to F Off. So needless to say, Be very weary about this site.

I joined for one month. There is really no way to see if this site is worth anything until you join. Before I joined I called customer service to ask if my preferences were really represented in their demographic. I got a really pissy customer service rep who's annoyance was barely masked beneath a thing veneer of civil condescension. Basically I was told to set my preferences in terms of distance, religion, etc. I set my preferences and expected to have someone, anyone respond. Granted I am a needle in a haystack. I am progressive living in a red state--but a fairly blue city--and am non religious. I also didn't want picks for anyone beyond 50 miles away. I've been on the site for 5 days. Nothing. Not ONE person fit my criteria. I was sent Christian men who were conservative and lived all over the place. I called again, got a much nicer customer service person who said I shouldn't be be so restrictive in my preferences. I think spiritual but not religious, set at very important, was not being too restrictive. I cancelled so it wouldn't automatically renew. I also asked for my money back. I was told I was past the grace period--what 2 days? I picked this site because it was recommended as great for senior singles. I didn't know if you were urban, educated, professional and not Christian you didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of Silver Singles finding even one person to match you with. I just threw away my money and whatever time I took to set up my profile. I feel ripped off.

I filled out the background questionnaire, including photo, but took a breather before committing. Good thing. Read a ton of lousy reviews. That was last night. I have received at least 10 teaser emails from S. S. telling me I have guys interested in me. When I click on them, the site says they have been "taken off my list". Also, Silver Singles "personality evaluation" questionnaires are so silly, why wouldn't everyone want to paint a pretty picture of themselves? I must be matched with more than a thousand people. Interests I get, and also stuff you can write about yourselves. I edited my site and put in "seeking sugar daddy", also, "rich old lady". Hmmm, seems like a contradiction, eh? I also checked out at least 4 sites, "reviewing" Silver Singles". All of them were positive and all of them gave links to S. S. Pretty obvious, I'd say. This site is the only one posting negative reviews. Good for you!

This is my 2nd try with SIlver Singles and what I have gotten in both cases is seemingly fake accounts that are "matched" with me or "smile" at me. The profiles generally have no photos or just one (probably from Getty images -- not to many people take deep-focus pictures!) and the profiles are barely filled out like "I like family and friends" Yep, that's all they write. Then SIlver singles ays they are a 92 out of a 100 match.
Still on hold (going on 45 mnutes now). YOu have to call to cancel your membership.
Many profiles "smailed" at me, initiating convesation only to act like they are my best frioend and want to take the conversation immediately to private email (where two of them have fawned over me (who they don't even know) and then they start asking for more and more detailed information. Oh yeah, they're IP is from the other side of the country - -not local to me. It's bad enough that SIlver SIngle often has the wrong location for another's profile and often "match" you with someone 2000 miles away. Below is a picture of a nice looking woman named Beth that was supposedly a few miles from me. It is a photo of a fashionista/presenter from the UK and her photos are easily found on the internet.

Their cancellation and refund policy is a rip off. Get ready to jump through fire if you want to cancel. Obviously the reason why so many people want to leave is because this site is inefficient and useless. SilverSingles didn't work out for me and many other people according to the reviews. I suspect they actually don't aim at providing any dating services. They are focused on conning you out of your hard-earned money by overcharging you and keeping you on automatic renewals until you notice it and start struggling to stop them from taking your money with impunity.

This silver singles dating site is a waste of money and your time. You can't get a hold of their horrible customer service, they don't return emails, they have a phone number that says Virginia, I called it and it was the Philippines, the woman was rude and clueless about the dating site, she didn't even identify herself as a representative of this dating site, then the call went to this waiting time for over an hour, I finally hung up, and every attempt after went straight to some music.
No Representatives...
I've only been on for a few days, they continued to have my profile under review, no matter what I wrote.
You've been warned by someone who fought for this country.
This site can kiss my Marine Corps $#*!.

Make sure you change your credit card or atm card, these people are crooks...

So friends encouraged me to try online dating and SS SEEMED to be a possibility. Signed up and started getting notices and matches. I responded to a few ladies and never heard back. Then I received what - I should have known better - seemed almost too good to be true. Turns out I should have run away screaming. The old saying, "There's no fool like an old fool" definitely applies. As I said, this lady seemed almost too good to be true, and it turned out several thousand dollars later that she was a scam artist. Nice picture, a little dog, a very nice "biography," and she played me like a fiddle. Do yourself a favor and stay away from sites like this because it's the wild-wild-west out there, No verification, no way to check are they really who they say they are. The only bright spot - I received a refund of the balance of my membership. STAY AWAY - better yet RUN AWAY!

They replace real women with bots. I saw how scammy and phony Silversingles was and I will never go back to it. All they want is to fleece you of your money. Silversingles.com think if you are 50+, you must be stupid and naive. They made up many fake computer-generated and computer-operated profiles, simply using stolen photos of people. Very dishonest company! They make profit by exploiting the vulnerable.

25% of the time, images will not load. You end up with a blank white image. Doesn't matter if it is the app or the website. You are limited to filters. I'm tall and slim, but you can't request any type of body style, slim, heavy, athletic. I'm an older white man. I'm not interested in black women, but again, no filter. I list women in 50 miles, but it defaults to people all over the us. NOT what I wanted. It shows 400+ matches, when it is actually maybe 20. It sends you an email if someone browses you're profile, no picture of that person. You have to log in to see if you are interested. Terrible site. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Match.com is 10x better in every aspect.
