They have random, ineffective matching system with no regard to your preferences. The majority of profiles are fake. Tricky auto-renewal and cancellation policy. SilverSingles fails on all fronts. It is membership-based, so they play all these tricks with automatic renewals, recurring payments and inability to cancel. Obviously, SilverSingles platform is geared to rip off. It's just another time-waster and money-vacuum.

Everytime I was informed that someone messaged me, there was nothing there when I clicked on the link. Everytime. Customer service told me that the reason for this was that thjavascript: void(0)e sender had deleted his profile. Is there such an epidemic of ambivalence?

I seriously doubt that most of the profiles are real. Many of the replies or messages are written with a very slight English mistake like one reply I received spelled "Dear" as "Der" and then another one wrote "yes I would love to meet someone AT the neighborhood". Whenever I see very subtle but clear English mistakes, I am almost sure that the writer is not a native English speaker and is certainly not in my area.

No one will write to folks in certain locals because they consider it too far. The fee is not refunded because you have only 3 days to ask for a refund.

I met a felon. A trust fund baby who stiffed me for his very expensive lunch. The men are conservative Trumpers, old and ugly. You will do far better meeting younger men on other sites. Creeps get creepier with age, The company is a German company not an American company. Company refuses refunds. Oh and they repeatedly changed my profile without consulting me and would not stop.

Total waste of money. People have fake profiles. They have sent me warnings they catch after the person has already contacted you. I took the time to answer all questions and they don't use them any ways. I would say 80% of matches don't have pictures or hardly a profile. Biggest con site ever run from this site.

I paid $69 a month for Silver Singles. Most all of the men emailing me had profiles removed and I received notifications that they were being investigated for scamming. Not something you want to pay $69 a month for. Very disappointed.

First, it's not "free." In order to see anyone that's contacted you, a subscription is necessary. What's the point of "browsing" if there's no contact? I did one month only (Thank God). The app totally ignores your preferences that you set and most matches I got each day were completely outside of them. I was lucky to see even one that was in my home state! Second, the app is almost unusable on an iPhone or iPad. I had to always use the browser version to reply to any messages. There's no real monitoring of the profiles. I had to report more than a few who felt the need to send me offensive messages because they disagreed with my political views. I received approx 6-8 contacts per day and almost all were looking for just pen or phone pals and not relationships. Spend your money on another dating site. This one is a total waste.

Have trouble with opening the app constantly. I've paid for 3 months and I'm unable to open the site!

As a test, I messaged 110 ladies. Only one person responded, who was real. The others were all fake. They send you a "smile", but when you try and actually communicate nothing happens.

Don't waste your time on this site, you will be lucky if 1% of the profiles in your area are real.

Majority of Matches received are 50 to 200+ MILES and / or 5+ years of age beyond preferences set
Matches showing education levels up to Master's degree lack basic sentence structure and poor grammar. OBVIOUSLY fraudulent profiles.
Multiple profiles with same pictures. Again, obviously fraudulent profiles.
About 50% of matches received do not have pictures.
Site views drastically different between app and online.
Browsing profiles is not an option. Confined to matches provided.
Customer service fails to provide responses to these concerns.
Extremely disappointed with this dating site.

Silver Singles is owned and run by a Chicago media group called Venntro, all they want is your money and that's it, Fake profiles, fake people, awful site to be on, Venntro sites ( and there are hundreds of them) will send you a message that you have a like! "REALLY", its just to get you to join so you can read the (FAKE) message!

Given my age I thought I would have best luck finding someone compatible on SilverSingles. Wrong! Most people lived over two hours away and in other states (although I requested within 50 miles) plus I was shocked to have two scammers after just a couple months in it - yet SilverSingles says they screen the m out. A couple years ago I tried a couple other dating sites and encountered no scammers and met a few people. This site is awful. A waste of my $89

I don't like how they select matches for you to view. You don't have the option to search everyone nor do you know if they are on currently on the website. I prefer Match.Com over this website. Glad I only paid for 3 months... wasted money.

I think they get pictures off Facebook and put them on as possible matches... 90% of the matches I would never consider.

I was with Silver Singles from March until August. I didn't think very highly of their site as I asked for a 50 mile radius for suggested partners, yet I was getting results from over 400 miles away. Deleted my account but now they are threatening me with legal action because I didn't give them proper notice I was leaving. Whatever you do, do not join this site, it is a nightmare to leave.
