I received a random sales call from this company, SIGNPOST. Apparently a guy named *. I asked if it was a sales call as I was busy, he replied yes. I said I was not interested and hung up the phone. 10 minutes later I received a NEW REVIEW ON GOOGLE. It was * the sales guy for SIGNPOST, the one that had called me. After he hung up with me he wrote a 1 star review on my Google business page saying I was rude to his girlfriend?! This is how you all do businss? This is the lowest move I have ever seen a business do to another business! Really?! Do the owners of Signpost really think this is an acceptable approach for your sales people to write bad reviews on innocent businesses that your sales people call?! This is who is representing your company?! If I don't receive a call from the business owner or top management within 24 hours I will report signpost to the BBB. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS BEHAVIOR!

Pretty good getting reviews helping to know what customers think, and if they are good request reviews outside of singpost. Only drawback is going through contacts and emailing all of your contacts, some of whom are not customers, other business, etc... That part needs to be reviewed before going live.
As a small business owner that doesn't have much experience with internet-based marketing efforts, I've found their recommendations very informative and helpful! They are patient and always take the time to listen to what makes my company unique, and then they take the time to consider those characteristics as they develop our unique marketing plan! I'm very appreciative of their assistance!

I get called out of the blue one day from these guys while I am at my day job, I run a martial arts school part time. I tell the guy that I am not interested, but it seems being polite doesn't work as he continued to harass and harangue me on the phone just to give him a time when I could see what his company does.
It didn't matter that I told him a half a dozen times that I was at work and couldn't talk. It also did not matter that I told him I was also not interested a half a dozen times.
I finally had to yell at him and hang up.
A week later they called back.
And then again.
And again
And Again.
Every single time they call (they are blocked on my phone but it still comes through my call log), I mark it on the do not call list that the government runs. So far I am at around complaint number 32.
Have never done business with this company.
I would NEVER do business with such a company that conducts itself this way.
I have asked continually to not be called but they completely ignore me. How good would they be for my business if they can't even stop calling me when I tell them to?
Think about that.
If/when the FTC ever gets off its $#*! and nails a few companies for being SPAM generators I hope that this one is right at the top of the list.
We utilized signpost for a full 6 months. We run a local salon. We have about 200+ client emails. Signpost is pretty much MailChimp but automated. They constantly send your clients emails asking for reviews and offer incentives as $5 off for them to write a review.
We were paying about $240/month, which is extremely excessive for what SignPost is doing. Taking all things into consideration, you shouldn't have to pay more than $50/month for their service. Save yourself and use MailChimp instead. Also a pain in the *** to cancel. Their sales rep are savages. Took over 2 hours on the phone to cancel. 2 hours of repeating " cancel cancel cancel"
I am so pleased with this service! My clientele is increasing and I am having good support along the way.

Professional marketers know marketing automation works. So much so that they're willing to invest a 5 figure sum each year and assign headcount to run their programs.
At my small business, we don't have the budget, headcount or frankly expertise to run a marketing automation program. That's where Signpost comes in. They provide an easy to use, inexpensive platform which allows our company to get positive reviews from customers, extend loyalty offers to our existing base, and run email and text based promotions with others. The platform required a little set up time, but an account manager is there to help you. After that, it's almost completely automatic. Amazing!

Answer: A contract is reuired, you must pay up front, and they will not allow you to cancel. Stay away!
Answer: Signpost takes a lot of work to reap any benefits; it's not as easy as the pushy sales staff would have you believe. The real problem occurs when you try to leave. They require payment up front (in our case one year), and will not refund anything when you cancel. This is a very shady company, and I would recommend staying away!

They bill you in advance, will not refund what they have billed (even if you quit using the service), and make it very difficult to cancel. Answer: Good luck John. You will have to endure a long sales pitch from a very pushy sales associate. In our case (sounds like others had similar situations), we had to cancel 30 days before the contract automatically renewed. I contacted Signpost the day after their $2,000 charge appeared on my credit card, and they refused to budge. Nothing... Best to stay away from Signpost!
Answer: Dave W, it sounds like you a have a really terrible job, trying to justify the way Signpost treats clients. In my case, I'm out $2,000 with no recourse, for a one year contract that I don't want. Shame on you!
