Take your money the same day as oredered, don't send the product and claiming it's lost after 2 weeks, then takes 10 days or more to refund money. If an organization bills 1000 consumers $50, then that is $50,000. If that were done every month, an organization could use that income for one month before refunding it. After reading 100's of reviews, it seems that consumers may be used for cash flow.
I would never use this company again. They change the estimated delivery date multiple times to prolong promised shipping date, and then blame it on delays, but when you call, they tell you there has been no activity on the delivery. Tell me how Amazon and other Reputable organizations seem to get orders to consumers in less than 3 days, but Shutterfly can't seem to get orders to consumers at all.

I created 2 very complex large (109 page) photo books from a long vacation which included photos of pictures in museums - many of which were cropped just to show part of the picture - these were really hard to put together. The first photo book arrived fine and looks pretty good although the photo print quality is not great. The editing of both books was an absolute nightmare because they look different in advanced editing mode. The new version of Shutterfly severely distorts some pictures and I had to spend hours getting them all to be sized correctly. The second volume that I received was a DISASTER. There were pages and pages that did not match my previews - all kinds of things were wrong - cropping was wrong all over the place, heads cut off, etc. I talked with customer service and got a very nice rep who went through each page with me and noted the problems. They had some so called experts make the corrections and many of the photos were still wrong. I asked if I could fix the "fixed" version myself. I was told I could do that which I did. I am now awaiting the "fixed" albums (I had originally ordered 2 at a cost of over $500 for both). I am terrified to take them out of the box fearing they will be wrong again. The reason for this is I just made another album from a different trip that I took a few weeks ago. A simple album with only about 70 pages with pretty standard vacation photos. I am not sure how they did this, but many photos that went all the way to the edges (bleeding off the page) were not printed all the way to the edge and there are borders in places where they should not be giving some of my pages a sloppy appearance (some photos go all the way to the edge while others don't). While this is not a complete disaster, it is a less than professional looking product. I upgraded the cover, pages, print quality, etc. and expected to get a perfect product. I was hung up on by customer service after I reported the problem (this was not intentional). I called back and asked to speak to the same rep. Because I had been going through the book page by page to point out the problems and was almost finished. They told me the original rep. Would call me back. 24 hours later - no call. I will try again tomorrow. I have been using Shutterfly since 2015. Unfortunately these last few experiences have been just awful. I spent countless days and hours on these albums to get them perfect and it is just so disappointing when they arrive and look like crap -- the print quality is also not what it used to be - the pictures just don't look sharp despite being taken on an iPhone 11 which has a good camera. Shutterfly - this is completely unacceptable -- you can do better than this! I will be finding a company with higher quality product for my upcoming 2 week vacation this summer.
After I spent many hours creating three photo books, error measures appeared whenever I tried to access my previous work. I have had trouble with the Shutterfly website before, but it had always been when I was trying to start a new project. I was always able to work it out. This is the first time Shutterfly has blocked me out of ordering my books. Although the tech support at Shutterfly was courteous and tried to be helpful, the problem was not solved. According to an analysis from an independent computer expert, the problem lies with Shutterfly and not with either of the two computers on which I tried to order my photo books. I am mightily annoyed that I will not have these books to give as gifts at special events. I will not use Shutterfly again. My time is too valuable.
I gave this a try, for my 1st and only son. When I got the product, most pictures were altered or strected, and the main pic, of my holding my son for the first time, cut him out of the picture. Very rude customer service. Nothing resolved.
I ordered a 24x36 Canvas print of my dog that passed 3 days prior. I got BLANK canvas. Had to fight for a refund to my card as they only wanted to give me gift certificates. 7-10 days to get my money back because they screwed up. So not only do I now have to find a company that knows that they are doing but I have to wait a week or more to get my money back. We are crushed about not getting the image of our late dog. They have lost my business for sure as this was just devastating to open. I would post pictures but they keep telling me my images are too large. I am sure they do this to prevent the truth being shown.
Had a small order, only wanted 5 photos to frame and it's been 2 weeks and the order is still in "carrier awaiting item" status. How is this possible? Good thing I'm not on a huge time crunch or I'd be really po'ed! Customer service is a joke too. Good luck getting any help from an actual person. Looks like they have lost yet another loyal customer!
I have been a customer for almost 20 years and the recent 2 books worth about $100 paid, I was told were poor quality due to my Iphone 13. I have used some of the crappiest phones over the years including flip-phones to upload pictures and they were perfect but my Iphone 13 uploaded bad pictures? I sent a copy of one of the books and a letter to the CEO Hilary A Schneider in CA, UPS, a representative called me to tell me she would help me. I sent copies of the same photos to Hilary that were printed in the book and they printed perfect at Walgreens. The book I paid $45 for was blurry(which they said they were crediting me for). The representative asked me to upload all the pictures again to her email and she would recreate the book with the new pictures. There is a book with the front cover which Im guessing nobody can get past, which is blurry, it was the picture I pointed out in the letter as there was nothing I could do to recreate it.No other pictures were uploaded. Nobody cares anymore! I made another book for my mother in law at the same time, most pictures were fine, a few were bad, CEO didn't look at that but I don't believe she got my letter in the first place, I have spent a lot of money over the years on Shutterfly, its a shame they don't care.
Our children gave us a Shutterfly puzzle with multiple photos of our beloved grandchildren for Christmas. The biggest problem with it is that there are two holes and two pieces that won't fit into them. Other pieces didn't fit well, but these simply can't fit.
The puzzle is impossible to move without falling apart. It was very difficult to get those little white pieces of paper underneath without having to redo the whole area. I would have framed it if it didn't have two holes and there was any way to get something under it before (besides our table) before gluing it.
This particular puzzle design is cute (the entire thing doesn't show in the sideways photo),, but you definitely don't want to put together that much gray woodgrain.
I think it's crappy that Shutterfly sends out emails to remind people of memories they created 4 years ago with someone who is no longer a part of my life for a lot of reasons. I don't need that reminder and I think it's crappy marketing & business to use that when a company knows nothing about someone's life.
I ordered photos and magnets of a professional photo shoot. They arrived too dark. After an excessively long chat session, I finally got credit to my account to place a reorder. BUT they REFUSED to pay shipping, so it would basically cost be the same amount that I originally paid when I received free shipping! What a scam! I will never use Shutterfly again. Their 100% satisfaction guarantee is worthless and misleading.
You can spend hours getting an order ready based on "promos". Don't bother. Promos do not work. You end up spending money just because of all the time you put into getting order ready. I finally had enough after 2 orders. Canceled everything, deleted the app. Customer Service was a joke.
The shipping is costly, and it is not effective and on time. They will give you time frame of delivery, but it will actually occur outside of the time frame given three four days after before your product arrives. Don't always expect delivery on the time.
I have ordered from Shutterfly in the past and have found their shipping to be frequently more expensive than the product. Knowing this, I planned on ordering with two family members so that we could split the cost. We had uploaded around 250 pictures and had gone through all but the last 25 (selecting quantity and sizes) when Shutterfly.com lost my order. I tried again, another day, another place with a similar result. Apparently 250 images is too many for Shutterfly to keep straight.
I finally wised up and did my selections in smaller chunks, adding them to my cart before proceeding to the next lot of photos. I proceed to checkout and AGAIN am blown away that (after my 50% off coupon) shipping is nearly $20 and more than the photo order itself.
Today I receive my order and find MANY photos not present. I had ordered several 8X10's and only received one. I can't even find the others I had ordered in any other size. I might have brushed it off as my own mistake if it had been one or two missing, but I ordered multiples of many of these images (due to multiple households) and find not a one.
While I'm at it, I would like to inquire why I cannot change colors or edit photos while selecting and ordering? Am I supposed to upload all my photos, edit them, THEN proceed to selecting and checkout? Why can't I do this all in one place?
Despite your coupons and "promising deals", Shutterfly, I will never order prints through you again. An all-over horrible experience with a frustrating end.

The personalized product it self was just ok. It didn't look like it did online. Proportions are different.
Even their auto chat bot doesn't work.
I will not use Shutterfly again.
I ended up ordering a custom mug design from this company after another company cancelled my order without any explanation. My order was processed promptly without any issues and I got my shipment within a week after I ordered which far exceeded my expectations. Not only that but the quality of the design and the mugs was incredible and exactly what I ordered! I was seriously impressed with the care of the shipping materials too to make sure the product wasn't damaged. I couldn't be happier with my experience and I definitely would order from them again!
I placed an order on the 12th of December 2021 and as of writing this review I have received no updates or emails at all about my order. Checking the website the estimated delivery date was between the 25th to 29th of December 2021. Yet here I am in the dark wondering if I've just gotten scammed.
The site is also so irritating to navigate. So if you are not savvy with technology best of luck.
Customer service is impossible to contact and their automated assistant is incompetent at best.

I just got my customized photo book from Shutterfly. And when I first opened it I notice there was a page that looked off. And later I discovered that the pages were glued together… I don't even know how this happens or where the glue came from bc they didn't need to use glue on my product. Pictures were beautiful but I now have to pages that look off. I kind of wish I would've kept them glued together to hide the flaws.
I was going to use the book as my guest book and just hope no one notices the glue marks.
Also, customer service is weird. I wish you could review products that you've bought specifically.
This is the customer service I did not expect. My package got lost by my mistake, I called back wondering what they could do and guess what: they reprinted the $225 order! I am with them since 2017 and this is the first time, but this is so nice of them! I highly recommend Shutterfly!
I previously ordered photobooks and wall pictures on metal -- all wonderful quality! It is the best present to yourself and your family!

3 strikes and your out. 1 last year my Shutterfly desk calendar had 1 month the dates and days didn't match. 2 My mom ordered 2022 desk calendar. When I opened it for Christmas it had no photo's. She call thinking it was an error and they gave her the run around. I save my more more stress. I just ordered and eat the $20+. It arrived but now the photos were on the calendar but the dates and days didn't correspond. The dates align with the 2023 calendar. They are ahead of their time. To ahead!
