The company's reputation is significantly marred by persistent customer service issues and a frustrating return process. Many customers report long wait times and ineffective communication, leading to dissatisfaction and a lack of trust. While some reviews highlight the quality and comfort of the products, these positives are overshadowed by complaints regarding incorrect orders, inadequate support, and hidden fees related to returns. Overall, the sentiment reflects a growing frustration among customers who feel misled and undervalued, prompting them to seek alternatives from competitors known for better service.

We purchased 2 pair of shoes One box contained two different sized shoes. We spent an hour (mostly on hold) trying to get a solution to the problem. After much ado we have to take to the shoes to a UPS facility to return them. We expected "something" for all of our trouble and were surprised that "nothing" was our reward. Do not do business with this company.
Greedy companies still happens - refund for the amount you paid for the returning item, minus a - $6.95 restocking fee per item. BEWARE!
Have a question about your order?
- No way shoes.com will respond. Wondering why.
- Very S-L-O-W shipping - the cheapest possible.
Maybe this is why most reviews for shoes.com are very low.
Conclusion:
Not a good company to recommend to friends and family members.
Will never buy from shoes.com again.
Choke on your $6.95
Horrible. I have purchased winter boots from this company on the Walmart.com site, and subsequently wanted to return. The quality is subpar, the fabric is stiff & unyielding, and the way shoelaces work, just not going to last. So I opted to return but had to go through the seller, rather than through Walmart.com. Have sent 3 (three!) emails with no response. Then made a few calls to the 800 number. Twice was hung up on. Called the third time and started with, don't hang up on me! Their CS is outsourced and has problems with spelling. Finally was able to receive & print a return label by email. They want you to purchase UPS insurance, while knowing well that insurance up to $100 is already included in the UPS Ground. What's more, they want you to print it on the laser printer, right, like off I'm running to buy a laser printer rather than using my good old inkjet, and what's the difference? Another attempt to discourage returns. AVOID THIS MERCHANT.
I ordered some shoes last week as a Christmas gift. They arrived a week later in the mail, but were not the shoes I ordered. Now we are looking at five days before Christmas, so I call and explain the situation. They tell me I have to pay for shipping again, even though they are the ones that screwed up. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they were busy and would have to call me back. No one ever called back.
Placed order Dec 6. It is now the 21 and no shoes. I called company 5 times and was told they were working with UPS to resolve. Finally called UPS today. They have had no contact about the problem. Called today 12-21-18 asking for a refund. They again said they would file a claim and it would be 10 days before they would here. Merry Christmas Stay away. Stay away. Needs a negative rating Nancy T.
Order placed on 12/13/17 is still "in process" with no shipping confirmation. Customer service was unable to provide a shipping date and unable to cancel the order. Very poor business management and customer service. Will buy from a reputable seller and pay a little more if needed in the future. I would stay away from this company.
I dont know how some people are having positive reviews but the customer won't help. Shoe was supposed to ship Friday and still not shipped on Tuesday. This is the second time that they said it will ship tomorrow.
Tried to cancel and they said it will be 48 hours before they know if I can cancel and they'll let me know. Unfortunate because the prices on the shoes are nice.
One star is far too generous. Deceptive, dishonest, untruthful company.
Placed an order I tried to cancel right away as the promotional code I received was no good for a brand I chose which was advertised in that promotion - turns out there is no way to know that except after checkout. Order could not be cancelled, nearly $150 was charged to my credit card, and shipped. Would never have placed this order if not for the so-called promotion offered. Upon tracking several days later discovered order had been yanked during shipment and returned to sender, without my being notified. More than 7 weeks and 9 emails later I am still waiting for my refund, getting all sorts of excuses and explanation that refund will be processed in 3-5-7-12 days and blah blah blah. I need some boots for the winter and really cannot afford any until my $150 are returned.
I ordered one pair of shoes from shoes.com on October 29,2017. They shipped on Nov. 2, however they never arrived. The UPS trace landed them clearly in SC, although I live in MA. I called Shoes.com on Nov. 10 to let them know. They were putting in a UPS trace. I called back on Nov. 15, they had yet to hear where my shoes were delivered. I asked for another pair to be sent. They said I would have to purchase them again, without a credit. Customer service point taken away. Then, I called back on Dec. 1, I was told the investigation was still on-going. I called for the last time today. They have lost a customer. No shoes, no credit. Someone in SC is wearing the shoes I paid for. Sorry, but I am just the customer...
Terrible customer service. Long, long wait time on the phone to speak with anyone and they were so RUDE! They have a terrible return policy and do everything they can to get out of a return. NEVER AGAIN! Will sell the shoes on EBAY!
They cancelled my luggage order right before thanksgiving. Horrible company horrible customer service ZERO reliability. DONT SHOP WITH THEM!
The worst customer service that you may experience. I bought the shows around 8AM, then I changed my mind and called them around 9AM to ask for refund. They told me sorry its already in shipping process. The items were shipped 6 days later!!!! They do this because they want to charge $7 for restocking fee. All their representative are rude not friendly at all. I would not recommend anyone to buy anything from shoes.com!
Just received a pair of skechers today, a week wait to find only one shoe had laces shoes. Coms remendy was send shoes back and after they receive them order another pair of shoes and might receive in 2 weeks. Makes no sense all that for 1 missing shoe lace.im surprised they are still in business
I bought what I thought was a nice expensive Harley Davidson boot. I wore them no more than 4 times. After the second time I wore them the wedge pulled loose from the shoe and my husband glued it. It is coming loose after wearing them for the third time and after the fourth time the soles of the boots are peeling off. With all this said, I don't believe these could be REAL Harley Davidson boots. I think they are imitation Harley boots they sell for $135.
I called shoes.com and they told me to send them (on my dime) to an address in Massachusetts and they would then determine if they are defective. WTh!
Not a happy customer. Terrible customer service and shoes!
Sold me a beautiful boot at a good discount, but it came with a huge rip on the inside. Would not exchange it, as they no longer had the right size. I asked them if they would give me a small courtesy discount so I could get the rip fixed, and they would only accept the shoe for refund, and only refund it if it "was determined that the defect was the manufacturer's fault." It was ripped! Whether it was the manufacturer's fault or not, it was still defective. Plus, I didn't want a refund; I wanted the shoe. So now my choices are to accept a ripped shoe, or have no shoe, and possibly not even get my money back, depending on their decision. Ridiculous. I will never shop there again.
So surprised shoes.com is still in business. My husband had the worst experience with the agent who couldnt really speak English. If you are called shoes.com and offer ur services in English, you better make sure you can serve English consumers. Anyhow, they never sent the paid shipping label as promised. I paid tones of shipping and duties fees that they decided not to refund me for. I couldnt believe that. They shipped the wrong item, but all the fees are on me? Buying from shoes.com is really a bad idea.
I don't know how this place can stay in business. Took 2 weeks to get shoes and they charge you a hefty restocking fee. There are so many better places to find shoes. I don't know what I was thinking!
They are notoriously poor regarding returns and will do anything necessary not to refund the customer's $. A shady outfit for sure
Answer: Apparently they do not care. Not a real good omen for staying in business very long.
Answer: Stay away! I tried to make an exchange, and they charged me for the new shoes and then claimed that returned shoes were worn and damaged and wouldn't give me my money back. I wore them long enough to try them on and even then the shoes were so small and stiff that I couldn't get my feet into them! I asked the customer service "manager" (the 4th "manager" I spoke to) if we are allowed to try on the shoes and shes said "yes of course" to which I said then why do you consider what I did wearing them? She didn't have an answer. This is a scam to sell off damaged or defective merchandise. Stay away.
