Horribly disappointed! Ordered a prom dress for my daughter & they said I should receive it in 4 - 5 business days & low & behold it has been over 10 days & nothing. Emailed them & they said won't get it until middle of May & I ordered it beginning of April! So mad... will never order from this company EVERYONE AGAIN! They never said it would take a whole month or so to receive the dress until you order & pay. They don't even deserve the 1 star I gave them!
I got this dress within a week after I ordered it. The material is of decent quality for the price. As this was my first order, I ordered 1 size larger with a thought that I could alter it if it is big. Just like I guessed, it was the right size for me. Satisfied with the overall experiennce right from the easy with which one can shop, collection, ordering process, online payment security and even delivery. Will order again.
Good collections and affordable price. Ordered a short peach dress for a family dinner with a dress code. I rocked as everyone complimented me. It was a bit lose around the hips for me, but it is nothing a seamstress couldnt fix. I saved about $50 by buying from here rater than going for a shop. Thank you. I ll buy more.
I purcahsed a mermaid style dress for my daughter and it wa quite impressive. I ve given 4 stars because there was a bit of a delay in the delivery. Otherwise a very nice online store with hell lot of collections... I am planning to make my next purchase here, this time around it is going to be for me... I hope they deliver it fast and I'll defenitely leave a 5 stars rating.
I dont know why people are leaving so many negative reviews. I ve purchased 2 dresses so dar and both of them are nothing short of perfect. Most people have the problem with the size because, without going through the actual size guidelines they book it... but if the guide is folllowed, all iof you will get perfect dresses like me too... Dont fret, just go ahead and order.

I should also mention about the quality... Its simple great. I was initially a little worried as they said it would come from China with regards to the size... but glad I found them... I ordered my dress in late February, I didn't get it until the first week of April! A month before prom actually. I ordered it custom size and the whole top is way too big! Not only did I have to wait a month & a half, I also have to find someone in time to get it fixed. I really don't recommend anyone buying from here!
First of all, the ONLY reason I ordered a dress online at all is because I was recovering from chemotherapy and radiation for cancer treatments and was too unwell to go wedding dress shopping. I found it difficult to find a dress I liked online any other way. Unfortunately reputable bridal retailers don't really make it easy to shop online. Anyway, I ordered my dress and it arrived later than stated. I just got it this week in fact. And it's horrible. Almost comically ugly. I attached a photo of the dress I ordered, as well as a close-up detail of the dress I actually received for reference so you know what you're getting into with this company. Not only was the fabric quality ultra-cheap, the skirt was almost ankle length. I ordered with exact measurements and the dress is about 4 sizes too big. The weird thing is that the actual sewing is good quality. It has boning and sewn in cups. The ruching is finely done. Which just makes the whole thing almost more stupid because clearly they have the technical skills to make a very good quality product, but they DO NOT. Because they are a scam. If you see a dress on shirleysdress.com that says it's regular $300 and it's ONLY going to cost you $150, trust me when I tell you that the dress you get will actually be worth about $50 max.
I ordered bridesmaid dresses from this site and was really nervous about it, after I received them I was glad to notice they were made well and was impressed. The issue I had was that they were not the color I ordered and they don't seem very interested in resolving the problem. The website states "... If you are positive that you have received the item in a wrong color, please provide the photos as a proof and contact us for a full refund or exchange for a new one." I am still in the works of getting this resolved but not feeling to hopeful. Sadly I have 3 more bridesmaids dresses I need to buy and may take my business elsewhere if they cant fix the problem!
I just received the dress today and, believe me, I was positively surprised! I didn't expect the dress to be this good! Almost perfectly tailored and it only needs little adjustments and it will be ready to wear! I am so excited!
I have been contacting customer service since February to resolve issue. We are now 2 days from April and a few weeks from wedding and I d have a refund or fitting dress. Support is generic responses. Even if you do all they ask you get nothing from them. I too am filing complaints with credit card company hoping to get refund of the dress that was made way to big on top.
I ordered four bridesmaid dresses and NOT ONE of them fit. Customer service is a joke... they send you generic responses to specific questions or concerns in very broken English. The measurements for all four dresses were completely off... it was a one-shoulder strap dress that cuffed over the left shoulder and zipped on the other side under the arm. Each dress needed at least five more inches of material to remotely come close to zipping up. My bridesmaids even ordered a size up from the dimensions given just to be on the safe side. The largest dress I ordered didn't even fit the smallest bridesmaid. I am so disgusted and am now rushed to find dresses in time for my wedding. Lesson learned! You get what you pay for! Oh, and don't even think about getting your money back. They don't respond or care once they have your money.
There was no indication that I was ordering from China, so on the website I got a payment confirmation in US dollars and confirmation of shipping in 3-5 business days. The next day I got a payment confirmation informing me of an exchange rate (amount still not determined) and that delivery will be in 30-40 days. In order to cancel for 100% refund, you have to email or submit an online ticket within 12 hours of payment confirmation. First I emailed (UNDELIVERABLE!) and then I submitted the online ticket. Because of the time change, I'm still waiting to receive follow up. I have contacted my credit union and they are allowing the company 3 days to complete the transaction and refund or they're flaggig them as a fraudulent company with MasterCard.
This website blatantly counterfeits the designers by stealing their designs, and actual photos of the models in the dresses from their websites. Unfortunately, I didn't know this until I ordered two dresses from Shirley's Dress and what arrived was NOT what I ordered. I input custom measurements to be sure that the dresses I ordered (wedding and rehearsal dinner dress) were the exact size I needed them to be. When they arrived a month later, one dress was so-so. It was a much cheaper fabric than I expected and I will have to take it in to be tailored since there were loose seams and some areas that are about to fall apart, but I will make it work.
The second dress (my wedding dress) was at least 5 sizes too large - not sure how this is possible since I put my measurements in - and a completely different style than the one I ordered. The top part was the same with the sweetheart neckline, but the bottom had lace and it was supposed to be tea-length, this gown was dragging the floor. It looked absolutely hideous. I took photos of me in the gown and attached that with photos of the gown I ordered in an email to their support team. I heard nothing back for over two weeks, so I left a voicemail on the phone number which was previously on their website (has since been removed). It was tough to even call when they are open since there is a 13 hour time difference between the U.S. and China.
Having not heard anything back, I re-forwarded my original email asking for a response. Again, hearing nothing I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Then they finally responded, saying they would offer me 30% back and I don't even need to return the dress! ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I wrote back how unacceptable that was and I needed a full refund for the wrong dress that was sent to me. (Frankly, they are lucky I didn't request a refund for both). They wrote back saying now they can give me 60% back, and again I don't even have to return the dress! What terrible business practices. I re-iterated that I need a full refund. Have heard nothing back since. Crossing my fingers that the credit card company sides with me and not this TERRIBLE company.
Trying to pay for a dress online and haven't been able to get any type of assistance has anyone used this company are they legit?
I ordered a dress this past weekend. I tried paying for it... it keeps rejecting my credit card! Can't get customer service to answer their phone. I emailed them. I get a generic response. With no answers to my questions! I will remove this negative review. If I am wrong for complaining!
Horrible horrible experience ever! Once you have the dress their customer service dept. Does not respond to your concerns. I bought a dress from them for my wedding and was very disappointed. You can tell its a knock off. The material is cheap and the differences stand out. But above all I hate how I've sent them 4 polite emails and they didn't bother replying. DONT BUY FROM THEM. SAVE YOURSELVES!

I was so much worried about the upcoming prom party as I did not like any of the dresses that were available in the local stores. Then my friend Sherry she came to my rescue and she said that I will definitely stumble upon something great at Shirleys Dresses and yes, she was so right.

With this price and great quality dresses, it is just impossible to get such gorgeous dresses anywhere else online. The wedding dress they sent me was 5 sizes too big and was a totally different style than the one in the picture. I found out they ripped the pictures off from the actual designer's website (Mori Lee in my case). I also ordered a rehearsal dinner dress that had seams falling out. My finance told me to throw it in the garbage it was so bad! I would definitely not risk this horrible website with the short timeframe you have. Drop the image of the dress you like into Google image search and try to find the real designer, that's the only way to guarantee your dress will come out right.
