I shipped a car from England to Germany. The transport company Transportpackages owned by a Mr Thomas Davies took a deposit of 250 gbp. A day before pickup got a message that the he had problems with his driver. After that no response to meesages emails or phone calls. He claims on the feedback on Shiply to. Have refunded me after my bad review.

As far as I can see this fraudster is still trading, and Shiply take no responsibility. The derails that they forwarded me were false. It appears they do little to no vetting.

In short there are some good transport companies on Shiply but when they connect you up with a fraudster they wash there hands.

This is part2of my story with PROOVIA. To read 1st part go down. So they got mattress and about a month was Lying about deliver it. Finally they said that DELIVERY DONE. We call to the mattress warehouse to get our money back and they said: NOTHING WAS DELIVERED.
What? Call Back to PROOVIA and they said ah sorry we lost PROVE TO DELIVERY, but we delivered they was ignored us for a while with "manager sick or we will call you back later", then they SENT prove to delivery- IT WAS A PICTURE WHERE NEW double size MATRESS WAS LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET BESIDE BUILDING AT... WRONG ADRESS! (You could see adress on top on the wall). ‍ My heart was broken first, and second - are you guys are normal?
Then now - more that 1 months now, THEY FEED US - we will give you money back, money on the was, manager is off in hospital (about manager my favorite)

When you post a quote on Shiply, they don't pass all the information on to the courier. I had a problem where I accepted a quote and then the courier couldn't accommodate the required transport date. It wasn't his fault - Shiply hadn't passed the information on

By this point I had already paid Shiply a "deposit" which isn't actually a deposit, it's their commission. They're trying to avoid refunding it instead fobbing me off with a credit

Anyway. Be careful. Lots of stories of couriers not collecting items and Shiply refusing to get involved. Shiply do NO vetting of couriers - many of whom are probably uninsured.

Shiply is a scam, do not use them. 1. They take a fee, not a deposit (unlike how it says on the Shiply receipt) 2. They connect to you with a shady transporter 3. If there are any problems with the transporter, Shiply does not contact them, they said they can't hold anything responsible. In general their service FAILS. The point of Shiply is to find a trusted transporter, which they obviously did not do, then what's the point of using them? When I had troubles locating my car since the transport company would not tell me the location of my car, Shiply did NOTHING. They hide behind emails (there is no phone number on their site) and all they can say is, they are not responsible for anything. So, if you want to give $100 to Shiply for them doing nothing, then go ahead, but better donating that $100 somewhere else.

Absolute scam... stay away. You book a delivery. U pay small amount to shipley on line. Then the scam starts. The delivery guy will call you. Just before pickup. I am near but broken down or need money for petrol. If you pay. Then forget about delivery. He will take money and dissappear. This is how these scammers are scaming the public. Shipley is not interested in if u moan to them. It should be shut diwn. Their own oeople are keaving oositive reviews to bump up the ratings. Its a scam... AVOID AVOID.

Bought a Nathan sideboard on ebay. Needed to get it delivered to us in Plymouth from Exmouth, distance of 55 miles. Chose a company that assured us if we paid extra for packaging it would be insured. This was important as we had paid £150 for the furniture. Have to say the transaction went ok, our only criticism was that it took two weeks. Of course, there was a public holiday during this period which we appreciate. Would recommend.
