I do not recommend this company or there products! I ordered the strawberry cheesecake body creme and a Sunday brunch candle on 2/27/21. I am just now getting my order on 5/14/21. The strawberry cheese cake doesn't even smell like strawberry's. It's more of a watermelon kiwi fruity scent. I will admit the Sunday brunch candle smells amazing but I think 25 dollars for such a small candle is a bit overpriced. Their marketing team is on point! They make everything look amazing but in reality it's a bit of a $#*! show. I've been eyeing this company for a while and just to receive my packages with utter disappointment in my opinion is unacceptable. They are also trying to blame everything on COVID which I find disgusting. We have been in this pandemic for over a year and everyone has been learning how to live with it. Then to go and ask loyal supporters and customers for a hand out when you haven't even shipped out orders is terrible. I will never be ordering from here again they have terrible customer service and the products are not worth it. I emailed them about my order two separated time and only one of the emails were answered. Not to mention the disgusting way they treat those who are unhappy with their orders or the company. They delete almost every bad review that's why a lot of people think so highly of this company. When they shut down I hope they shut down for good! *

My heart sunk when I was told of some of the issues they've been having due to the pandemic and personal tragedies. This made my wait of a few candles and body butters seem almost inconsequential compared to what other people are going through right in this country. I received my order and everything was beautiful! I had to come and leave a review for you all because so many people disregard how truly wonderful these creations are.
I'd also like to say I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine Sarah how you are able to deal with all of this. I pray God blesses you and your remaining team with the strength to make it through this. The enemy is strong, please keep your head up and continue to press on. There are so many supporters behind you that want to see you succeed and you've built such a strong brand that we all want to see blow up one day. Your talents are truly a treasure.

Extremely unprofessional company. I placed an order in January (today is 3/22) and it still hasn't shipped and they've stopped responding to emails.
Even when they did respond to my messages all
I got was an apology and an excuse but still no shipment confirmation.
If you place an order be prepared to wait months.
Update. Had to escalate to PayPal and they still didn't respond to the escalation!
I see they respond and place blame on the pandemic but I've been ordering products from all over the world since the pandemic started and I've never had to wait more than a week for orders. I even ordered a package that originated in Texas during the Texas snow issues and I still received my order from them... but still nothing from shea shea bakery. It's crazy I can order wigs from China and receive them in a week but can't receive my shea shea order and they're in the USA with me... but it's the pandemic's fault right?
This company is awesome! I saw them on Good Morning America and wa captivated by the little donut top they had for 50% off so had to get it. It arrived a week later and I fell in LOVE! Since then I've purchased a few candles and soaps and the quality is absolutely amazing. I've told everyone I know about them lol definitely coming back for more, actually on the site browsing now haha!
I see a lot of reviews complaining about the shopping speed but they fail to realize we're in the middle of a pandemic so there needs to be consideration when it comes to shipping times. I ordered back in December 2020 and got my order after the new year, but I didn't expect it in time for Christmas at all. Everything smells absolutely divine and I love how I can use the butters in my hair, it's been loving it (and so has my boyfriend!) I just placed another order. I say to give it a chance and to support black-owned businesses!
Wouldn't recommend this company. I bought the $40 cookies n cream candle. It took 3 weeks to arrive (which was expected) but because of the price and shipping time, I expected more and was disappointed in the candle. I had it lit for less than 10 minutes before two wicks burnt out and could not be lit again, and it had no smell besides wax which was bad. I was offered a replacement, but after this I just preferred a refund. In order to get a refund I have to ship it back. I tried leaving a review on the website, but any review that isn't five stars isn't posted on the site. Which was proven when I was blocked on Instagram for asking about the product reviews. Wish I would've seen real reviews before ordering.

There certainly are dissatisfied customer reviews that can be found on our site, however, there are many more positive than negative which is why to you it may seem unbalanced. You are able to search this information by filtering reviews from highest to lowest. We're sorry that you were not satisfied with your candle purchase however as we attempted to assist you in finding a resolution to the burning of the candle you continually posted across social media in an effort to dissuade future customers due to your isolated experience. This would not be allowed to continue by any business. We understand you may be unhappy and we apologize for this and attempted to assist you but trying to ruin our business in retaliation is unnacceptable.
I purchased some candles and bath bombs for my wife and daughter, a little hesitant due to a review I read on this site. So glad I went ahead with it anyway. Everything was packaged well and looks amazing. My daughter and wife now rave over this place and will probably soon proceed to drape our home in these bakery items. Would highly recommend, can't wait to order for Christmas gifts. Shipping did take 3 weeks but we're in a global pandemic people, this is life now. I ordered a camera from Amazon and still have not received it, going on week 4. I can only imagine making candles like the ones they make would take some time to perfect. I'm certain I'll be purchasing again soon.
The customer service is horrible. I ordered a total of 4 products. After waiting 3 weeks I finally received the package, only to find that half of my order is missing. Their products are not cheap and I expected to get what I paid for. I contacted customer service through email and have been sent through many hoops. My package had a "received in damaged condition" sticker on it and I sent all this information. Instead of issuing my refund for the products I did not receive, Vanessa tells me they have to perform an investigation. Vanessa, the customer service rep, asked me for an invoice slip that I DID NOT RECEIVE with the package. I gave her all the information I could yet I have been going back and forth with her for 2 weeks. It is unfortunate because one of the butters that I did receive smelt great. However I cannot order from a company who does not take responsibility for incomplete orders.
Hello Danielle, you stated your package was received in damaged condition from the shipping carrier so as we've stated in previous emails, the carrier is responsible and will be issuing a refund directly to you after an insurance claim is filed. Every package includes an invoice to prove which products were packaged inside it, which the carrier stated they have in their possession. It looks like this was already done so all you need to do is await your return for the damaged items. Thanks.

I ordered from a huge sale on March 19,2021. Everything was $5. They were already in the midst of their business failing and had the nerve to do a huge sale then launch a go fund me begging for $100,000. I e-mailed multiple times asking where was my order, because the turn around time was 4-6 weeks. They had well exceeded that time and blamed everything instead of taking responsibility. They blamed Covid (we've been in this pandemic over a year), losing staff (went from 42 to 7), broken machinery, USPS skipping their warehouse and not picking up packages, a staff person dying... you name it they blamed it. They stopped responding to all forms of communication. I filed a complaint with my bank in order to get my money back and they completed their investigation and issued it. This company should be put out of business for all of the fraud they have committed. They delete reviews on IG, don't allow reviews on their Facebook, then lie and say the majority of their reviews are good. Well, BBB doesn't lie and other reviews on other blogs say otherwise. Today is July 12,2021 and I have no e-mail acknowledgement of anything.

Despite going back and forth I received my replacements today. I did apologize. I was concerned because of all the other negative reviews. I just know if I order that the wait time is longer than two weeks. I only order body butters. They are worth the wait.
I am updating this review to 5 stars cause I decided to give the company a second and third chance. I placed an order for black soap and it arrived within a week then I placed an order for some sample Shea butters. Just small orders to see how things would go and so far so good. Nothing compared to my first order experience I had with them. My Shea butters were purchased on 1/03 and they arrived 1/17 with a lollipop and each butter was wrapped tightly and sealed and filled to the top. They have earned my trust as a customer again and I look forward to doing more business cause their Shea butters smell soooooo good

I purchased a vanilla cupcake Shea butter on 2/17/19 and today is 3/6/2019. I've had nothing but limited responses from this company (sheamakery.com) and I've tried reaching out to them numerous times. They claimed they shipped my product to usps on 2/23 but I checked with usps and they said they never received any items from Shea makery. They only created a label to make it seem like they were sending out a package. So I reached out to Shea makery and they told me usps made a mistake and probably lost the package so they would have to file a claim. They also asked me if I wanted a refund and I haven't heard anything else from them since and it's been 4 days. I would never purchase anything from this site or store ever again! I made several purchases from different stores on the same day and received all of them within the same week! They are a rip off so save your money and time! I did more research online and found that they've done this same scam to numerous people! They delete all of your comments and ignore you.
I made a $98 order because I thought the products was so neat and cool. Three weeks later no product and the shipping status never changed. After numerous emails and Instagram messages the company refunded my money. I was giving all type of excuses as to the shipping label may fell off or it could be new people working at the post office. After sending another message I was blocked from Instagram after I showed the company all the negative reviews I read. To add they also delete comments from social media pages. This company have the worst customer service I ever seen. I can spend my money else where.

I just received the best candles I've ever purchased in my life and that's saying a lot! Design, smell, execution. GENIUS! The customer service team are so helpful and seem to be up til super late to help you out, I've messaged at close to 3am twice and still got an almost instant response. Ordered arrived just when they said it would, a little under 2 weeks but for this kind of stuff that's a perfectly adequate amount of time to wait. Will try expedited next time because I'm super impatient lol. Thank you guys!

Shea Shea Bakery is amazing. I've ordered their products consistently for years and have always received my orders in a timely manner. Their products are beautiful and unique and I'm never disappointed with what I get. This company goes above and beyond for their customers, making sure that the labeling, packaging, and product quality is high.

When I received my package I couldn't believe how amazing the products looked. All handmade! Talk about super cute and creative! I had to wait about 2 weeks which was actually a pretty good time to wait especially since they do everything by hand. I know where I'll be ordering for the holidays this season and next. I love this company! I think the bad reviews are from a lady who tried to steal the owners copyrights. They said something like that on their page. Anyway I've been buying for 5 years and never had a problem receiving orders! My 16 year old suffered from severe acne and the clearing kit healed her almost completely in Less than 2 weeks. Best company for great skincare on a budget.
