I used to spend a lot of money at sephora because yes, they do have very good products and a good setup, but twice I have had a problem with the employees. The first, I asked a lady to help show me how to use a certain type of foundation, and she wouldn't stop glaring at me, like she couldn't believe she was having to help me and it made me feel the I was doing something wrong. The second was the time that pushed me over the edge and I WILL NEVER go back to sephora because of it. I was about to get an eye cream when I realized it was over my price range and I put it on a shelf somewhere and started walking out and got stopped by a woman who accused me of stealing it. I let her search my bag and she still wouldn't let me leave! I started crying because I was clearly innocent and she threatened to call the police if I kept crying! I ran out and I will never go back. THESE EMPLOYEES ARE RUDE, SELFISH, AND PARANOID AND I ADVISE TO TO ONLY ORDER ONLINE UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE SCARRED FOREVER!
Tried to order something in time for a birthday to be delivered to my work.
Buried in their terms and conditions somewhere is information that they don't deliver to business addresses.
That'd be fine if there was some kind of notification they sent you indicating a problem or didn't let you enter the address in the first place. But no! No notification, no indication of this problem in the order status. No help or compensation from the support team.
Absolultely hopeless.
This morning I made an appointment to have my makeup done at the Southlake TX Sephora, while waiting for my appointment I started reading the reviews of this location and they were NOT GOOD.
I almost canceled because of them.
When I arrived I was greeted and checked in as soon as I entered the store,, I was a few minutes early so I browsed the store while I waited.
When I was called over by a young man I was a little nervous. Albert started asking me skin questions and about the look I was wanting to achieve the he was off to collect supplies. Not only did he do my make up to suit my age, (50) he did an amazing job telling me exactly what he was applying and why. The finished look was perfect, I was very impressed. Albert is the only person other than the lady who checked me in that I dealt with and he was SPOT ON!
Really doubted what my friend's recommendation, later I decided to give it a try, honestly, my shopping with them was a great experience.
I will definitely shop with them again and again... Thanks Sephora for the nice customer service...
I placed an order online, a Temp Authorization was attached to my CC and an initial e-mail from Sephora was received. My order was the "unsuccessful authorization" and rejected with no follow-up notice. When I realized I attempted the order again. Same thing.
I contacted customer service and they claim that the issue is I used the site to identify my billing address and a separate shipping address (my work so I would not have to get a slip and go to the post office). They say that because they could not verify I lived at the shipping address their security policies prevent authorization.
This is contrary to how all major online vendors work. The billing address is attached to the CC. The shipping address is where you want it delivered. By this logic, you would never be able to purchase for someone else and ship to them as your CC company would have no record of the person or address.
Absolutely ridiculous, and no offer to try to work with me to rectify the situation.
I love buying beauty products from Sephora, especially fragrances. Always authentic, great salespersons, and you can ask for and receive any 3 decanted fragrances of your choice. Free. I Like wearing a sample of a fragrance for a day or so to see how it performs on my skin before I buy it for my collection. Love their Sephora Collections of several perfumes when the are available. You get a gift certificate in the box to get a full sized bottle of the one you like best. FREE. Can't beat that!

Sephora is essentially a cosmetics wonderland. All the brands stocked here are high-end and of top quality. No dodgy brands or products here.
Ignored. Had to ask more than once for someone's help while staff kept busy chatting with each other in the aisles. Disinterested staff act like they are doing you a favor to minimally help. Will never go back.
I wish i could buy all the pretty stuffs here. Lol. I love the brands, oh my! Such a good quality and brands. Will definitely buy more hopefully soon.
My #1 go to for beauty products! I have never had any issues with my orders. Very rarely has a product been out of stock. I do wish there were more stores in my area.

I've been to two Sephoras in different parts of town in two days. On both occasions I had to interrupt a group of sales people just hanging together jarring to get help and when I did, they didn't seem to know much about the products I wanted. Then the cashier was dancing, yawning, stretching, singing to the background music while checking out my purchase. These ladies have a good gig! For a chain spouting their great personalized service, they fall way short. No incentive to go there instead of the Internet.

My recent experience ordering from Sephora has been beyond disappointing. In the past, Sephora used either UPS or USPS, but now they are using OnTrac, and, as a shipper, they have a terrible track record. When I tracker my two orders, it was "claimed" that they were out for delivery. Then they were sent back to Sephora. What?! I used to receive my orders in 3-4 days. I am not sure that I will continue to do business with Sephora.
I must also add that in the past couple of years, returning an item without a receipt is verboten! They are like the Gestapo, I hardly ever make returns to ANY store, but Sephora customer service stinks. I was treated like a leper when I tried to return an item.

Okay first of all I love sephora so much, it's not even funny everytime I go on their website I always end up buying something. I've always had such a great experience with sephora and I love the fact that you can redeem points for gifts. I also love that they have special vib events. I love every palette that I've purchased from sephora they are my babies. And let me tell you, if you ever want to buy some thing from sephora that you've been wanting then you treat yourself because you deserve it and it's like getting Christmas gifts in your mailbox.
Answer: There are a ton of great moisturizing and anti-aging products out there to help you. Sephora has so many that your head will spin, but there are also a lot of drugstore alternatives that are rated just as highly (or better) than a lot of higher-end ones. I would do some research online before ever stepping foot into a store like Sephora (trust me - they will bombard you with very expensive things you don't need). Honestly, I really like Ulta as a store better than Sephora because they carry both drugstore, middle-end, and higher-end products. (MUCH better service, too) But before you go anywhere, Google things like "best anti-aging products for mature skin" or things like that. Using multiple products, such as a glycolic toner, a serum, as well as a moisturizer is a good idea. One thing that is FANTASTIC for wrinkles and dark spots is Retin-A, but you have to get a prescription for it and it is harsh on your skin (especially if you're sensitive). It literally kills off your top layer of skin (which leads to a very annoying period of your face peeling for a few weeks), but once you get over the growing pains, your skin is amazing. I was diagnosed with melasma, which is hyperpigmentation of the skin, on my face, so my doctor gave me Retin-A and hydroquinone, which really works at fading dark spots. If you can't afford the Retin-A (mine is over $200 a tube), there are a lot of great OTC products that contain retinol and work well, just not like the Rx version. Neutrogena has a great line of products for dark spots and wrinkles. But like I said, do your research and don't let sales reps push you into really expensive products, because they get a commission, and you may get stuck with a bad product and an empty wallet.
