Was supposed to be a birthday gift but was delivered late--also left on porch in 90 degree heat w/o even ringing doorbell to alert you of delivery--they use FedEx and say its not their problem yet it's an ongoing issue-never again!
I ordered this for fathers day to be delivered to my husbands work but at 8 pm when the time it should have been delivered it said delayed. So it'll be ruined by the time he gets ut if at all
I had placed an order with 2 different recipients at different addresses, but the company sent both to the first recipient. I contacted the company to see if they would be able to resend the second one to the correct address and they said they are not responsible for incorrect addresses. However, this must have been a glitch on their website because I had added both addresses as separate places to ship. I spent $65 on each gift, and it was ruined for one of the recipients because she never got it on her birthday. I never plan to order from this company again because the gifts are expensive and their customer service will not make an effort to make things right. Very disappointed. Also the second gift was delivered on the wrong day.
For my nephew's graduation, I ordered a Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake w/Fudge Frosting, Graduation Music, and Candy Kaboom. It did not arrive on graduation date as planned, but arrived 4 days later (Fedex). I ordered 1 and my nephew received 2 boxes... both had items all in the box that were melted. This is Texas, they should know better and provide dry ice or something else to protect the food and chocolate, and candy. Super late and melted... when I called them for a refund they had the nerve to ask me for photos... they ended up fully refunding me. I do not recommend buying from them at all, poor service and poor quality. At least customer support refunded me.

Ordered a cake box for mother's day and did it ahead of time. It was originally scheduled to be delivered a day before the Mother's day, but came in a day after when nobody needed it anymore.
Besides the fact that it came in late about 70% of butterflies were broken(rubber was ripped) and flowers were mostly dead and looked very very sad.

The butterflies flew …. For a couple of seconds - and the rose petals flew all over the place but the CAKES …. Ewwwww gross! - we didn't get dry cakes as some others report - we got iced batter! Super gooey and NOT tasty - gross in fact! They have six mini cakes ( smaller than mini cupcakes)
My mom is 96 and likes smaller cakes and my sister sent this from Ohio and the thought was great but …. EWWWWWWWW.

But in this case I'm talking about underdone doughy gross flavored cake that we literally threw in the trash - I'm gonna be calling the company tomorrow to see if this is the way the cakes are ACTUALLY supposed to be or if this is a huge mistake in production…. Because EWWWWWWWWWWW!
Ordered a birthday explosion cake, when asked for a delivery date I selected May 2nd being my father's birthday. There was no block dates listed just May 2nd promised delivery.
Well May 2nd came and went it is now the 5th and still no cake.
I have sent numerous emails stating this and the response I've gotten is that the order confirmation stated delivery between 5/2-5/7? That's after payment and order placed not prior to placing order in which I would have decided not to order because a birth"DAY" is on that day. Who would pay for a surprise a week later. Not to mention he was only at the address I sent it until the 3rd. No refund basically told me to screw.
Very shady business practices to give you a block date after payment opposed to being up front prior! Will never order again and warning all that if you want a specific date you will be disappointed and out $88 or more just like me.

I ordered a birthday cake for my wife's birthday yesterday and fedex did not deliver it. They said on the tracker that they tried but that is a lie. I have a ring video cam and no deliveries were attempted at all!
Fedex is the service you choose to use and it is your responsibility to make sure they do the job they are paid to do.
It is very unprofessional.
My wife's father has a stroke last week, the idea of your cake was to give her a little motional brake for her birthday because i am away for work.

I bought this for my granddaughter, the butterflies malfunctioned and matted to her head. The company did not care at all. I told them her head would most likely need to be shaved. Their answer? Then shave it. Customer service was awful the product was awful. Buyer beware.
I ordered a b-day cake for my grandson. I sent the correct date so it would be there for friends and family to see. They decided to deliver it 2 days early which defeats the purpose of even ordering the cake. When I called the person blamed it on Fed Ex. BS! I would NEVER recommend this company, not even a word of apology!
The surprise/shock of opening was wonderful but the cake was horrible! The "cake" was a cupcake! It was dry and tasteless

I ordered an explosion box with cake on January 25,2021 to be delivered for a birthday on February 26,2021. The cake was not delivered on Friday, February 26,2021. It was delivered late on Monday, March 1,2021. I emailed them about this several times. They stated that it was late due to a weather event. The weather even had occurred two weeks previous to the week of the shipment. Therefore it was not some unexpected delay in shipping. Knowing that there had been a weather event, the package should have been sent earlier. Be aware that they ship using 2 day weekday only shipping through Fedex. It will not be delivered on a weekend. It was very disappointing to not receive it on or before the birthday. They refunded the shipping cost of $15.00.
It just didn't make up for the person not getting it until 3 days after their birthday. Also the cake was sent on Feb. 24. If the cake was baked that day, the cake would have been 5 1/2 days old when it was received. Although it seems like it is a prepackaged cake. It was sealed in plastic wrap. I was told it was moist and tasted good. It was the tuxedo cake.
I had ordered the birthday music and party poppers. The music played when the box was opened. I thought the party poppers would explode out of the box, but they don't. It is just placed in the box to be opened by someone. That was my mistake. I like the exploding box cake, but it's not worth it if it is delivered late.
I had also ordered one of the 7" cakes. Be aware that the larger cakes are not from Send a Cake. They are from David's Cookies and shipped from David's Cookies. That is not disclosed anywhere on the Send a Cake website. If I wanted a cake from David's Cookies, I would order one directly from David's Cookies. They at least should disclose that on their website.
Answer: Terrible Customer service. They provide a phone number but I've ben on hold for a least an hour (two different days) and they never pick up. When you tap to leave a message... the mailbox if full. Their email responses I think are AI. There is no name at the bottom and they are not helpful.
Answer: Yes it works. You can also go to eBay and just buy something called an “explosion birthday box”. They cost about $10 and do the same thing.
