The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among sellers, primarily due to inadequate customer support and a frustrating user experience. Common concerns include long response times, unresolved issues, and a lack of tailored assistance, leading many to consider leaving the platform. While some sellers acknowledge the potential for sales, the overwhelming sentiment is one of frustration with the outdated interface and poor communication. This feedback suggests a pressing need for improvements in support training and system functionality to enhance seller satisfaction and retention.

Frankly their policies are widely open to abuse and it is near on impossible to speak to an actual person! Even if you speak to a human they are trained robots who repeat what you already know (I phoned about an email I had received and she more or less read me the exact email... thanks but I can read). Buyers can do and say what they like without having to provide any evidence of their claim... you on the other hand have to provide proof. In the real world if someone accuses you of something they must prove it... ie if they accuse you of murder... you dont have to prove you havent done it they ahve to prove you have... Amazon are the opposite! No good for small sellers they are only interested in your account if you wish to have Amazon Fulfilled products. An absolute waste of time, poor customer service, poor communication and complex listing process.
I highly suggest you sell your items anywhere else but AMAZON, not only did they pick up 31 of my boxes but they have lost 10 of them. Now they say they have never picked them up. This has been investigated for 4 months and still no answer. Now they have put half my items in 'unsellable' and then disposed of them. STAY AWAY!
Our account was hacked a few months ago and over 50,000 items were loaded in our account. This caused a tremendous problem negative feedback from customers thinking they could purchase we don't sell so they shut us down. After all was fixed they told us they shut us down again this time because we did not reply to a customer in a timely fashion. We are done with them.
Apparently you need to speak Hindi or Chinese to talk with the seller support by phone. They don't speak clear.
The website itself never gives you any notifications and the design of it is like from 2006 or so.
Very unorganized! Very disappointed, I will be using ebay from now on.
My 3rd month now, I was able to post items into the inventory, after having countless issues just to make an inventory with countless calls to Amazon to non fluent English speakers. Now having countless to convert to fulfilled by amazon
This is a company that needs to be taken to task, no complaint procedure, appalling customer service and if your a seller your scum.
Customers and sellers are getting fed up and its about time we all started to complain to trading standards.
I think we will see the demise over the next 5-10 years as history tells us you don, t get away with this behaviour for long.
I sent in my products 4 weeks ago, but apparently they are sitting somewhere without being processed. I have called several times, and they apologize, but that doesn't get anything changed. I have had a friend send in the same product, two weeks later, and they sold. Apparently, things are just chaos there.
Transfer the business after it is sold is a nightmare. Amazon service is the worst. Basically I had to close my account and then open another account. Which made us lose our rating, customer reviews and everything. This a horrible app. Amazon are complete losers get a programmer.
I have been selling on Amazon for quite a few years now because it is the best/easiest online platform to sell CDs (all you have to do is type into their system a barcode and the item details come up ready for sale - although rarer items will be hard to list because they will be not on Amazon) but every time I sell something and look at the fees they charge (a ridiculous 20% plus an extra £1 or so as a fixed sale fee if you only sell occasionally and don't have a pro account) I kind of regret selling through them. So, I have had to put up my prices really high so that I don't lose out. But Amazon buyers do lose out.
All amazon is good at is taking the sellers money and not good at giving it back, took my 3 weeks to get a refund which i never got for my subscription and all i was being told was it's no problem and not them. 4 weeks later turns out to be there mistake and never got an apology instead blamed it on me. Amazon is the worst business I have ever done business with.
For a seemingly state-of-the-art e-commerce platform, they are so archaic it's laughable. I got stuck on the 2-step 'account verification' process setup, so I was forced to call their 800-overseas Support, who wasted twenty precious minutes rambling me through useless screenshot attachments etc. only to end up issuing me a "support ticket" promising Amazon to follow up with me via email. They didn't.
I've sold on Amazon before and never had to go through all that drama. And I definitely wasn't pleased that they'd charged my bank account $39 for the Professional Plan when I'd selected the Individual seller plan, which is FREE. Took them 3 assinine weeks to refund the fee.
Just DON'T sign on as a Seller. You've been warned.
Don't do it. Their system seems to be extremely antiquated. They need the old style bank statements to verify you as a seller and no bank produces such critters any more. Their system is not set up for the new bank statement. YOU WILL NEVER GET ON.! Keep your money
I really worry about Amazon (Long term). They're customer care, and speed around vendor services is literally third world. Their care team are clueless and hardly speak English, their infrastructure is so complex that no one in their own organisation knows how to deal with issues. It's taken me 3 months to list 10 products - still not done yet. Come on Amazon!
I signed up on Nov 15th to list 2 products in time for Thanksgiving. Guess what... it is Feb 8th, and I still have not managed to list these products. Why? Because this is the most complex logistic platform where if make one single mistake listing it (and you will not make one but MANY), they reject it. Every time you resubmit what you believe to be the right information, they take 3- 10 days to review it. If wrong, you get in the same cycle till YOU figure out what is right because most of the time they will not tell you what is wrong. This has been the worst experience of setting up my business I have ever had. Oh, and they will charge you while you are not set up trying to figure out how to get on board. I seriously don't know how anyone can deal with this platform, its rules and protocols. Makes no sense to me. Not easy, not fun, and completely helpless, and absurdly long delays. They are 100% anti-seller, almost as though they make it as difficult and bureaucratic for you to list anything. I used to sell on Amazon 10 years ago, and used to be A LOT easier, and user-friendly and helpful. You can't find anything easy on this platform. I challenge you to find your merchant ID... let's see if you can find that on your own, because you will need it for everything. Just a small example. I hope I can get my products in the next 6 months so I can continue to test the inefficiencies on this site and make sure everyone knows, because Jeff Besos sitting atop of the wealthiest man in the world title certainly doesn't give 2 f@#ks about it. In fact he may laugh if he read this. Total Shame!
I created a test account, and accidentally opened a paid account for $39/month. This was a mistake as originally I wanted to open a free account to see the functionality Amazon offers for individual sellers. Since I opened the account, my credit cart is being charged for $39 (luckily, I do not have funds on that card). They are trying to charge on a daily basis.
Upon opening the case for Account suspending, I received the response "We received your request to close your account. Once a seller may no longer sell on the site, it effectively closes the account.".
What the heck is that "Once a seller may no longer sell on the site, it effectively closes the account."? Is this English at all? In fact, I never even uploaded a single product!
I'm waiting for more than a week now, for a simple operation of closing account.
Never want to do business with Amazon again.
Amazon Seller Central is anti-seller and their program have too many restriction that won't allow you to sell anything unless is approve by them. Their inventory system is great and you don't have to put so much effort to describe, set a photo, and creating a sell template. All in all, stay away from their seller program, you're better off selling at Ebay or similar marketplace.
I'm extremely disappointed in Amazon, Years ago I used to sell on Amazon and it was great, i would confirm shipment n be able to put in for my money straight away, n had it within 3-5 working days. Now, i don't know what Muppet is in charge now who decided it would be a great idea to make sellers wait OVER a month for their money but they need sacking, immediately! Lets face it, its not to protect the buyer its to make profit on sellers money for as long as you can as you don't waste any time taking your own cut!, your a disgrace and i will NOT be using your services again! And i will be warning others to not sell on your site either! Just another company ruined by greed!
They have a 3 day workshop that tries to convince you that you can be a successful seller on Amazon if you buy their $35,000 program. The 3 day program is $1,000 of which they give no useful information, it is a high pressure sales event. The 3 day workshop is nothing but a high pressure sales program to extract money from the suckers that fall for their bull$#*! line. The 3 day workshop does not teach you anything, of which I was told they would do, about listing or selling products on Amazon. They tell you a lot of stories and analyze about the short story of "Who moved my cheese?" and bring an actress in to convince you to buy into their program. This is a high pressure sales program just to extract $35,000 - $1,000 from the knuckle heads that fall for it. These are professional high pressure sales people just like the ones that sell time shares. There is a sucker born every minute. These sales people look at the people at the workshop as someone that they can extract a lot of money from and put it into their pocket
Amazon Seller Support you are the worst and I think it's time to put a petition to have you booted out of Europe all together. I am planning to gather all the cases of all sellers who have suffered causing many small to medium businesses close.
The injustice and unethical behind the scenes is just unbelievable and yet all these people have worked hard and they pay all their fees.
Like urber, you shall fall!
I am almost positive that all the $#*!s work at Amazon support team. As all the previous reviews mentioned by sellers experiencing nightmarish encounters with these morons, I feel it would be a waste of time to divulge more into another painful experienced by me.
I cannot stress enough why you should not sell to Amazon Vendor. They WILL devalue your brand by selling it so cheap that your other customer bases will refuse to buy from you any longer, they refuse to negotiate on price and good luck in trying to speak to anyone with more than half a brain cell.
I spend at least an hour everyday just dealing with booking in and invoice issues as they cannot seem to grasp the concept of pack sizes, you put cases through for issues and they take forever to reply only to give you some false information. As an example we recently had Amazon refuse to pay for an invoice as they said it was received short, upon checking I could see they ordered 72 (they come in packs of 12) so we sent 6 packs of 12, Amazon booked on 6 and stated that because the order was short we would only get paid for 6, when I pointed out to them that they had clearly booked this on wrong (6 packs instead of 72 singles) they then changed the reason and told me the dispute was refused because the parcel was never received? WHAAATT? I pointed out that they had booked on 6 and paid us for it? How is it possible to book on 6 if you never received the order?
Unfortunately this kind of issue is very common, you will have to sell you products dirt cheap to them only to spend hours and hours every week dealing with a very dim set of employees in customer services to try and resolve simple issues only to end up tearing you hair out because they just do not get simple logistics or accounting. You may not get paid for all orders if they make a mistake and it is down to you to keep chasing them and pointing out the obvious and you still probably will not get paid correctly. After a year and a half of selling to Amazon vendor, the issues, the non payment of invoices for invalid reasons, the hours and hours spent dealing with them, the stock losses and the damages we have now pulled ALL our products from selling to Vendor because we cannot continue to waste precious time basically dealing with a bunch of amateurs who just happen to work for the worlds largest retailer. My advice, if you want to sell on Amazon, do it yourself under a merchant account, this way you keep all logistics and accounting in house.
Answer: If I was you I will stop everythings involving with Amazon and find others platforms to sell my products. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks under reviews. In your case 46 days it means there is a probleme. But this is only the 1st problems tons will come, TONS.
Answer: [email protected] I would complain to the AG for Washington and copy Customer service. Worst case (if you can) set up a new bank account. You will be extremely lucky if you get a real person to speak with you. Good luck.
