Not terrible but not great. They could be much more prompt responding to claims, and it always feels like it's a battle to get the repairs covered. I had to replace a part on my stove and instead of reimbursing me for the whole thing, they only gave me $200 for a $250 part that I had to install myself. They said my stove was too old, but it's only 7 years old.
A few smaller issues like my dishwasher heating coil, leaky sink, and fridge were handled pretty well, but it really feels like the higher the cost of the repair, the more they fight it, which is nothing new for an insurance company, but still.
I am pleased to be allowed to select my own service company, because sometime it takes Select Warranty a longer time to find some to come ASAP, so for my last couple of claims I have called my own service company. They do have a basic customer service desk that do not give you any real help, so I always ask for the claims department.
I called to establish service. They answered all of my questions fully and were extremely professional and courteous. Additionally, I reached a representative quickly without getting trapped in annoying computer hell. Nice job!
The SHW representative was very efficient, polite and took prompt action to identify a technician to help us. She was also receptive to the possibility of us getting our own technician, if that would work faster. When repaired, SHW was prompt to review and approve the claim. Overall - a very good experience
I called at 11 at night and she said to check at 7 in the morning, I think they are getting right on it. I have disabilities and need the air. I live in Escondido, CA and yesterday it was 95. Thanks in advance Select Home Warrranty.

I was satisfied with the customer service I received from SelectHome Warranty. The rep was friendly and helpful.
I called because there was a lot of condensation collected in the pan underneath the unit and inside the unit. Also it was not cooling well so the food rotted quickly. Had no problem getting a service provider the very next day. The repair man was proficient and efficient. Very satisfied with the resolution of this event.
I have hesitated getting a home warranty because of sales pitches and the fear that the coverage I wanted would be too expensive. Johnathan answered all my questions and offered me a rate I could afford.
I have been with this company for 8 months. First time I called in the 2nd month about black specks coming from my kitchen faucet. They denied the claim stating it was a maintenance issue. 2nd time I called about my built in microwave not working. They agreed to pay me $95 when a replacement cost was $700. They told me because my unit was more than 10 years old, that was all they could pay me. I asked if my water heater or ac unit broke down, if I would only get a prorated reimbursement; they said no.
I am unsure. I have little confidence that my policy will cover any needed future repairs.

I have had Select Home Warranty for 1 year and I bought their 3 year plan. Today - 21 August 2020 was my first claim for our AC unit which is 5 years old this summer. The unit stopped working (likely something easy like a fuse or circuit board or capacitor). We have our AC units serviced annually for cleaning and I asked for Select Home Warranty to dispatch Fox Air (the local AC technicians who service our AC's) and they agreed to do so. They even asked for the telephone number to make sure that they called the correct AC Techs we wanted. This is how Home Warranty Service should work... if you have a team of techs you know that are reliable and trustworthy in your local area, then you shpuld be allowed to request them for service. Great job Select Home Warranty!

Air Enforcement did a fantastic today repairing are air conditioning unit after it went out. Jeffery the tech kept me informed as to what the problem was and was able to repair it pretty quick. Diffidently would have them back again.
I called to discuss renewal of my policy and I was IMMEDIATELY connected to a sales person. I did not have to wait at all. The sales person answered my questions very quickly. It was a very good experience.

Answer: Based on Internet searches but quickly found out that they are a SCAM.
Answer: After filing 5 claims, and one tech that wanted to pad his pocket resulting in me fixing my own leak in a toilet at my expense after paying their tech. And another tech wanting to get my pool setup for summer at150. More than I already gave for deductible she didn't fix my pump or water line to my pool. Both denied by select home Warrenty. And 3 more that I paid their techs for then had to fix it myself. Now my freezers compressor is out and they took money out of my bank account without my permission after saying they would go ahead and fix the freezer well guess what they declined it. And said it wasn't covered when in the contract it says it is. List all meat and others because of 3 weeks if waiting for them
Answer: They are fast when signing you but so slow in responding and they are a total scam had to pay out of pocket for my leak repair that they should fix
