Select blinds sent me the wrong blind. They will not replace the blind or credit my money. They have my money I have no blind! Do not ever order from them they are a dishonest terrible company!
I order two roman blinds for my kitchen. I told the sales rep I only had ¾" depth for mounting and she recommended the designer series, so place my order. When I received my blinds the mounting bracket was 3" depth and don't mount to my windows. I'm trying to resolve this issue with Select Blinds. Also the material and the craftsmanship were very poor. I'll never buy there again.
I filled my cart with 22 blinds and ordered a sample on 11/29/2019. Was told in writing that the price of the cart would be honored since we ordered a sample. It is on the website as well as the email sent confirming the blind order. Called to order the blinds once the sample was reviewed on 12/14/2019. Price of cart was $1,056.33 and I have the printed copy. Was told on the phone they would not honor that price but could go as low as $1,173.04. They lost a whole house of windows over $116.71 and would not keep their word. Asked to speak with the manager twice and was told no. Said they would call me back. They did not. Bad business practice to bait and switch, especially when the customer has your commitment in writing.
In the past month I have purchased blinds from this company for 6 of my windows and only 1 of the measurements was correct.
The first issue was two blinds with one head rail and the blinds didn't hang evenly causing them to look crooked.
Taking my chances and hoping to have the same luck as the first window, due to the price, I decided to order blinds for 4 bedroom windows. I sent the exact size I needed 34 inch for inside mount and they arrived 33 1/2. When I chatted with the customer service lady, which I will post after this review, she continued to insist they did nothing wrong as they are suppose to trim 1/2 inch for inside mount and therefore to bad. I also mistakenly purchased the S blinds for one room and they look CHEAP and are cheaply made.
Not to mention, I had to pay someone $150 to come hang the blinds. He didn't hang them because they were too short; however, I had to pay him to remove the old ones and then reinstall the old ones when the new ones proved to be too short.
Bottom line, do yourself a favor and go to home depot their faux wood blinds are just as nice and they stand behind their work. I am out almost $500 plus $150 for handyman. To add insult to injury, the store representative was quite rude saying over and over they always take 1/2 inch off and they made them as they should have. I am not a blind expert, I just gave the exact measurements as requested. The funny thing is, the first blind I bought from them fit perfectly an inside mount and I had no problem. The quality of the blinds are not consistent. Please save yourself headache and money go somewhere else.
Well, was hoping third time would be a charm, but no luck. They sent me another set of small vertical blind mounting brackets. I give up!

On a recent order for horizontal blinds, they sent me incorrect mounting hardware. I contacted customer support. One week later, the replacement parts arrived. Once again, they sent me the wrong mounting hardware for my horizontal blinds. The vertical blind mounting brackets they sent me twice are not the correct part and are insufficient to hold the weight of a 78" set of horizontal blinds. I do not wish to attempt using these inadequate parts as it may damage the blinds. The correct parts are clearly shown on the third and fourth pictures of their parts page at https://www.selectblinds.com/tech-tips/window-covering-parts.html, not the mounting brackets for verticals shown further down the page under 'verticals'.
I ordered blinds for two houses that I was doing working both times of lines were not cut correctly they either were not wide enough or not long enough Lynn seems to be an issue with them you have to add a couple inches to the bottom of every blind
Double check your measurements before you do anything with them and keep a copy
I've also received damaged blinds from them a couple of times as well I don't think their quality is that great

I ordered over $5,000 in woven wood shades. All the blinds fit the regular windows but the blinds do not fit our french door. Our doors open inward and we cannot open the door. The company should state that the blinds should be installed directly on the doors or installed nine inches above the casing. The website only allows for six inches. I contacted customer service and they will not issue a refund. They would however, love to sell me some more blinds (can you see me rolling my eyes?). I am now out over $2,000. Why would anyone want to do business with this company? Run don't walk..
There were multiple problems with the blackout shade.
First, the shade was not flush with the wall and it had a 2.5 inch gap from the wall to the shade.
Second, the shade was the wrong size. I ordered a 72 inch wide shade and the shade that was made and shipped was a 71 inch wide shade.
Third, The shade also had a retraction problem. Donna in customer service emailed me a video to correct the issue and after completing the steps from the video the issue is not resolved. It still had the same issue with retraction.
So, I received a blind that does not work, is the wrong size and sticks out from the wall 2.5 inches. This is a blackout shade, outside window mount that is supposed to keep light out. It is supposed to lay flat with the wall. It does not keep the light out.
After trying to get a refund for my defective blinds with Donna in customer service for the last 7 days now and dealing with customer support by email. Customer support asked for photos of the width of the shade and I emailed them photos right away and then they asked me to mail the shades back to them after Donna in customer service told me to donate the shades since they could not be returned. Donna said, that customer support said that they did not get the pictures I emailed them but they never emailed me telling me that they never received the photos and Donna said the pictures are there in my account and the pictures came through in the emails.
I decided to call in to talk with a different agent since Donna was not available today. I reached Ken in customer service and he was able to give me a full refund. Thank you Ken for your awesome customer service. I give you 5 stars. I give my overall experience with select blinds a 1 star. I definitely didn't need the additional stress with this order.
Ordering from Select Blinds has been a nightmare. I suggest that the company make some improvements. There is a lack of communication within the company from customer service phone support to customer service email support. There is no quality control obviously before a product is shipped out. Who let the shades go out the door with out inspecting them first to make sure they are the correct size and work properly. There are many reviews on the web and people are saying that they received the wrong size blinds. A company should get this right the first time. Whoever is not doing the job should be let go. Simple remove them from the company.
I measured my window for roller shade as directed by Select Blinds website. It took 3 weeks to arrive and was too big for my window! The finished width of the shade was wider than any measurement I sent to them with my order. It's now a month since I got my shade and Select Blind still has not remedied the situation and they have my 376.00 dollars as well. I wouldn't do business with these folks again
Bought a vertical blind. After installation I couldn't close the blind no matter which direction I twist the wand. Contacted SelectBlinds and they were quick to provide me with a couple of solutions. 1. ensure the tilt rod is engaged all the way. Which I confirmed.
2. Make sure the headrail is leveled. Which I also confirmed with a leveler. Sent an email back confirming the two items suggested are confimed and also included a couple of pictures. Got a response back to provide a video. Instead of just replacing my broken headrail I get the feeling they were just dragging this issue out. I just went ahead and cut my lost and went to Home Depot and bought another blind for half the price.
Do not waste you time or money on this company or their products. I had issues from the start and should have just cancelled the order. First the day I was supposed to received my blinds I got an email that the color I picked was on pack order this was over a week after I ordered them and their tracking said it was in production. Then when I requested a call back with more details, I never received one I had to call back. I decided to change the color to one that was in stock even after all that to my own stupidity. Then my order still told me it was on back order until April 19th even after changing it. I finally get the blinds and the are scratched dented and the faux wood part of the blinds are splintered from the saw or device they use to cut it. I contact customer service and explain what happens and first I am told I could not be called back because the supposed manager was chatting with me and multiple customers. I finally get a call the next day from a manager explain what happen they asked if I had pictures, I said of course I do. I was told I would get a credit after they emailed the pictures to the production team and I would hear back rom them no later then the next day. I just now received an email almost a week later asking me for more pictures and if I would send them back for inspection. The reason why it took so long to get back to me was because the manager I was speaking with was off the next day from the first time I spoke to her even though she said she would contact me for sure the next morning. This place is a JOKE! Oh, and did I mention that I order 11 sets of blinds and not one of them came with the wand on top of being damaged. DO WASTE OUR TIME OR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK. I would give them no stars if I could.
Honeycomb blinds: Terrible, terrible product. Just Google "honeycomb blind mounting issues." I've been sent my 2nd set of clips that also don't work. You will see countless videos of helpless men going through what you'll go through if you buy these. Go ahead and try their "easy" clip mounts that don't snap in. I'm not even really sure what to do at this point. And I've wasted at least 6 hours on this at this point.
They are horrendous. I ordered 7 motorized blinds from them two years ago. ALL of the motors stopped working within six months. After MANY hours on the phone, almost three months of waiting, and a sheet hanging over my exposed window with the dead motor, (and a lot of runaround and a negative review on a site they don't manage), they finally sent me a replacement for the first failed one. Then the rest of them stopped working and they want me to send them a "video" of EACH BLIND- SIX videos- that is not working. Um, they DON'T WORK. WHY would you ask for 6 videos of 6 identical blinds that are just hanging there? This is their routine. They are crooks and I would NEVER buy anything from them again. Instead of providing replacements or acknowledging their faulty products they teach their reps to spend hours on the phone giving you a runaround with the goal being that you will just give up. They are an extremely unethical company. I would advise anyone wanting motorized blinds to steer clear and buy them from somewhere else. This company is the worst, hands down, that I have ever worked with in my entire life.
4/11 Me: I ordered multiple blinds (7 in total) from you in 2017. ALL of the motors failed within the first 6 months (no it is not the batteries or wands) and I have been unable to open and close blinds for two years. How do I get replacement motors and are they covered under warranty? I would have expected more from a company that charges such high prices for the blinds to begin with. Please advise.

Since this isn't necessarily an issue you can capture in a photo, would you be able to send a quick video showing the defect so that we can better assist you? Please also confirm the size of the product on your order this is in reference to.

4/13 ME: I ordered 7 blinds. 6 out of seven do not work. The one that does work was a replacement sent by you. I don't see the value in sending 6 videos of blinds with dead motors. They just hang there and the MOTOR DOES NOT WORK.
I need 6 replacement motors for defective products. I have tested them all with the wand that operates the functioning one and they DO NOT WORK. I suspect the whole batch of motors was faulty.
Them: If you can take a video showing you are trying to operate the shades, that would work. Please also confirm the sizes of the shades defected. I ordered blinds and my contractor was here when they showed up. They were the wrong size by 6 inches - too wide. I double-checked my order and it was their mistake. How do you not get one of two dimensions correct? So I paid my contractor for nothing - not his fault they cannot build blinds correctly - and called Sunday morning to order replacements. I was on hold for over half an hour - despite repeated assurances that " your wait time is less than two minutes " and gave up. I chose the option to get a call back - and nothing.

Can't say enough about the great service i received. I had, alas, mis-measured for my honeycomb shades. This time was helped to get the measurements right and was given 50% OFF my new order. Very happy.
Im writing this review in reference to the customer service provided by Zachary on December 6th. I have been trying since the end of March to get the pieces needed to hang my mother-in-laws blinds but to no avail. Different clips were sent 3 times, all incorrect.
Zachary was extremely helpful and able to order the part I needed. I hope when it arrives the blinds will finally be 100%!

Answer: Semi scam. They do not honor 3 yr warranty. My claim, 6418454 was literally IGNORED with non response.
Answer: They won't accept returns. I ordered shades, which the pictures from their website clear show have a hidden bracket in the same color as the shade. We got bright white brackets that curl around the front of the shade and will be very visible to everyone in the room. They will look like a cheap knockoff.
Answer: I ordered on line from Home Depot. Better quality that Select's private label brand and quick delivery. I received perfect quality shades in 8 days. Select kept delaying and was up to 3 months delivery and counting when I finally was able to cancel.
