I have purchased tickets a couple times through Seat Geek and I have never had a problem. I make sure that I specifically chose tickets through Seat Geek (i. E., not through uberseat), because I trust those more and history proves I've never had a problem. One time there was an issue with my tickets and they corrected it beforehand and took the time to call to warn me about the change but they still assured me that the tickets were fine. Great experience!
I got my dad tickets to the Paul Mccartney concert tonight at metlife through seatgeek. Hes the biggest beatles fan & this was our bday gift for him. The tickets were fraudulent! I wasnt going to let seatgeek ruin the night & i ended up buying tickets at the box. DO NOT TRUST THIS SITE!
Clarah, it is so disappointing to hear that this was your experience using SeatGeek. We would never wish this for any of our customers and we work tirelessly to eliminate these issues for customers. We'd love the chance to make this right. Please email us at [email protected] and we can dive in!
Hello, I just wanna know if I can add my tickets to the wallet app... and I was reading the reviews, how I could be sure that the tickets are real, I already received the electronic tickets...
Hi Mario! Thanks for reaching out to us about this! We're always working to make sure our iOS app has all the best features. Right now, you can use the Apple Pay functionality in Apple wallet, but we'll deliver your tickets to the My Tickets section of your SeatGeek app. We'd be happy to look into your order and answer any questions you have about your tickets if you email us at [email protected]!
Bull$#*!! Purchased tickets said that they were being confirmed(NEVER $#*!ing happened) sent an email to request a refund and no response wtf! Hands down this was my first worst and last time I'll ever use them
Taylor, we are so grateful that you took the time out to tell us about your experience and we're so sorry it was a negative one. I assure you our CX team responds to every email in the order that they arrive and they'll be more than happy to look into the issue that came up for your order. I apologize again that you had a disappointing experience and we'll be in touch.
Poor response time in getting tickets and secondary broker, UberSeat a disaster! Concert tickets finally arrived two days prior to event with NO response/customer service from UberSeat and "canned" email response to my repeated inquiries about my tickets. Be very cautious using either broker!
Linda, we appreciate you reaching out and sharing the details of what happened and we're so sorry that your experience was less than stellar with our vendor, UberSeat. We take this very, very seriously. While we're glad that you received your tickets in time for the show, we'd love to hear more about your experience and make it right. Please email us at [email protected] and reference this review in your email so we can dive in.
Buyer beware: There are fraudulent tickets on SeatGeek and I would check who the secondary broker is before you buy. Companies such as UberSeat, TicketCity, FX, TN Direct list tickets on SeatGeek and have different policies on refunds. I ran into issues at recent a Coldplay concert after outlaying $450 for two separate set of tickets which were both fraudulent. To be fair, SeatGeek did refund the amount for the first set and replaced the second set of tickets in time for the concert. I am now facing a similar issue with another concert coming up (Tickets were bought before the Coldplay experience) and SeatGeek has not responded to my last three emails and told me to contact the secondary broker. Not good enough, I purchased the tickets from SeatGeek and I expect them to deal with the issue or refund my money. This company is trying to do the right thing although you could easily find yourself dealing with a secondary company and out of pocket if you are not careful.
Updated; Buy with full confidence. SeatGeek responded with full assurance that if the ticket were invalid they would find replacement tickets or reimburse the value. In any case, this was not required as the tickets were valid and represented excellent value compared to what they were selling for on other sites. I had also purchased a day pass for a major music festival on SeatGeek from Ticket City which was delivered by FedEx in plenty of time for the event and gained access with no issue. The SeatGeek customer service representative, Zach, was awesome and responded in a timely fashion every time. Really impressed after initial concerns and will be using SeatGeek again.
Kash, thank you for taking the time to write this review. You are absolutely right that SeatGeek is a platform for sellers to list their tickets. We have the SeatGeek Marketplace, which allows for anyone to sell tickets that they may not be able to use anymore. We are also an aggregate search engine that shows listings from hundreds of ticketing companies. We believe that ticket buying should be easy, so we work to show customers as many ticket buying options as possible, as well as providing a deal score so that customer can take many things into consideration before making their purchase. We have very strict agreements with any seller whose listings show up on SeatGeek, part of that involves holding our vendors accountable and making sure they back up their orders with full guarantees and full refunds for customers who have problems at their event.
So I ALMOST bought a couple of tickets through this site but at the last minute I did not because I found out my husband was going to have to work. I made an account with my email address and made a password but I never actually purchased anything, so no card or bank info was ever entered into my account. The only thug that I put in was my email and the city I lived in... So that was 2 months ago. Today I have been receiving emails all day long about Coldplay tickets that were successfully sold and the amount they were sold for. And it's like tons of tickets and thousands of dollars so I log on with MY email and MY password and there is some other phone number and bank account hooked up to it. I want to delete my account because I am not selling these tickets and I can not do it. I tried to call and email about concerns and have not had any help. I am worried someone is selling fraudulent tickets with my name attached to them and I can't even cancel my account to get away from it. I really do not know how this is happening but I just really want nothing to do with it and want my info off this site. Do not even mess with this site. I never even bought anything off this site and I am dealing with sketchiness.
Jenna, this is completely unacceptable and we are so glad that you shared what was going on with your account here. We apologize that your account has been targeted in this manner. Our team is trying to reach out to you but we cannot find any email correspondence from you. Please email us at [email protected] and make sure to put attn: Sarah in your subject line. We have a dedicated rep who will help to make this right for you!
I purchased tickets for a Royals baseball game via Stubhub. When I went to my seats they were already taken by a family that ordered their tickets through SeatGeek. When we were taken to box office to get straightened out. My tickets purchased via Stbhub were declared the valid tickets. The other family had to move plus buy 2 more tickets, since the stadium was only paid once for the tickets. Stubhub took care of me. I hope SeatGeek did the same for their customer
Hi Jeff, thanks for sharing your experience at the game. It looks like you encountered a seller who listed their tickets on multiple platform -- which is against our terms of use. We work very hard to eliminate this issue from occurring and we also have VERY strict agreements with our sellers. Please email us w/ more details at [email protected] so that we can make sure this seller isn't allowed to list with us any more. All perspectives on what happened at the game are helpful!
I tried ordering tickets for Coldplay at MetLife Stadium. I've used seatgeek several times in the past and have experienced no issues. This time, I purchased tickets through seatgeek, and my order was unable to be confirmed. Funds were already taken out of my account but said that they would be refunded within a few days. So I ordered tickets again since the representative said that ticket cancellations are "extremely rare." call me lucky because it once again cancelled my order due to an inability to confirm the tickets. Once again, funds were withdrawn and I now have to wait for $400+ to return to my account.
I called seatgeek once again and they said the best they could do for this was to simply help me search and "almost guarantee" that tickets would be confirmed. No discount, no gift card, not even a promo code for having to deal with this terrible ordeal. I'm skeptical of using seatgeek ever again.
Hi Joseph, thank you for taking time to share your experience. Hearing from our customers about how they use SeatGeek and issues that they encounter helps us to improve. It looks like you had a couple order attempts that couldn't be confirmed. We apologize for the frustration. This issue is rare but more likely to happen for more popular events where tickets are "flying off the shelves." There is an authorization hold on your card at checkout to verify it and also to make sure that, if a charge were to occur, it wouldn't overdraft your account. If an order cannot be confirmed, we immediately inform your credit card company to release your funds back to you. I assure you we are always working to provide a secure ticket buying experience and it's feedback like this that helps us know which direction to go in regards to our work.
I purchased Hockey Playoff Tickets for a Game 7 of the Pittsburgh Penguins versus the New York Rangers. The series ended in 5 games. I have been working trying to get a refund of my tickets with no assistance or help from seatgeek. My Visa company has also launched an investigation as they claim that MY visa will not accept the refund of my ticket money. This is untrue. It has been a total nightmare. I am thrown around from one place to the next... I have had to deal with SeatGeek, Ticketnetwork, and MYTICKETTRACKER. Just keep getting the run around. I am still working with the investigation through my Visa to get my money back. Bottom line, do not use them. No event is worth this hassle.
Colleen, thank you so much for sharing this with us and we are so sorry that this has been your experience. We have very strict agreements with the vendors who list tickets on our site and it is so disappointing to hear that you're being let down here. Please let us know how we can work with you to help get this resolved by emailing us (and referencing this post) at [email protected]
Look i was unsuccessful in purchasing my tickets. The first time the price went up 17 dollars a ticket from the time I ordered to the time i was trying to check out. The next three times seatgeek couldn't confirm my purchase for 3 separate transactions but they still have my money! Please dont use this app
Hi Adrian, thank you for the feedback and we're so sorry that you encountered this issue. SeatGeek shows ticket listings from the secondary ticket market which is very dynamic. Especially for popular events, the ticket prices can change rapidly based on demand. We work to make sure our customers are aware if a price has changed. There is an authorization hold on your card at checkout to verify it and also to make sure that, if a charge were to occur, it wouldn't overdraft your account. If an order cannot be confirmed, we immediately inform your credit card company to release your funds back to you.
Tried to purchase tickets on seatgeek and received an error message. Never received anything further about the tickets being purchased. Next day I noticed a charge for the tickets, that I NEVER RECEIVED. Now seatgeek is telling me that they didn't see an error on their end and won't refund my money. Good thing there are other ticket sites out there.
Hi Joel, thanks for reaching out and sharing your story with us. We're so sorry you had a negative experience and we'd love to look deeper into this issue with you. Please email us (and reference this post) at [email protected] and we'll dive in!
Hi I recently made an purchase for me and a friend to go to the braves game on June 29,2016 and I've been looking up the reviews and I've heard bad things. How do I truly know these tickets are good and safe for me to use?
Hi Desaree! Thanks for reaching out. We have strict agreements with all of the sellers on our site and we only work with vendors who have full guarantees protecting their tickets. We have a full CX team in the office here to help and if you ever have any questions, feel free to email us at [email protected]
Went on web site. Ordered 2 tickets from SeatGeek marketplace, got a error message that tickets were not available anymore but still got charged on credit card. Now im out $216 and no tickets. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Hi Cy, thank you for sharing your experience. I apologize that we weren't able to confirm that order for you. It looks like you may've been seeing a pending authorization hold that automatically falls off of your account and does not become a charge. I assure you that you would only be charged if a confirmed order was placed. If you do not see this hold fall off of your account please contact us immediately at [email protected] so that we can provide further support.
No where on this site did it specify that taxes were not included in the pricing. I just looked at more tickets and that statement is NOT where I was told it is when I called. My total at checkout did not include this and then suddenly an ADDITIONAL charge of $43 was added without my consent. I understand that taxes need to be calculated based off your area and whatnot, but if I shop or buy anything online taxes are always included in the payment screen. Not only is this misleading, but also caused me to not buy the BETTER tickets from stubhub because stubhub is upfront and honest about their pricing. I have now payed the same amount for lesser seats. When I called I was told that it was my fault and they are authorized to essentially charge my card whatever they want. I will never use this service again and will recommend people to stubhub as they at least tell you what you are actually paying.
Mark, we are so sorry that this was your experience using SeatGeek. This does not sound like the normal process for our customers to go through at checkout or with our CX team. In regards to the pricing, we pride ourselves on showing "all in" pricing and not surprising customers with additional fees. We're are very surprised and disappointed that this was not what you encountered. Please, please email us at [email protected] and reference this conversation so that we can dive in deeper and make it right.
I listed two Game 5 Warriors vs. Cavs tickets when I was forced to go out of town on business. I had previously sold tickets on site without issue. This time, I attempted to list tickets for market value, approximately $1,250, and was rejected. The site stated to put in a price under or equal to $1,000.00.
I contacted customer service and only got a response on my third attempt, by which time I had lost a full sale date. I was contacted by customer service with some excuse about how "new" the resale marketplace was and that they could not support sale prices of over $1,000.00. I promptly checked other prices and found OVER 50 SEATGEEK EXCLUSIVE LISTINGS for over $1,000.00 to the same game!
I contacted customer service via email to ask about this inconsistency and, about a week later, have yet to receive a response.
Long story short, I lost out on prime ticket sale time, got an unsatisfactory response and ended up eating $250 per ticket because they did not sell until hours before the event. Had I simply used one of their competitors, which I will now do, I have little doubt that the tickets would have timely sold.
Terrible experience and feel avoided/lied to.
While on my way to the Dodger stadium after purchasing my tickets through this ridiculous site I come to find out that I can't even go VIEW my tickets which I obviously need to get in the gate... Beyond annoyed and irritated with this idiotic website. Then com to find out I CANT get a refund with these tickets. I tried opening them through an android and an iPhone and even a laptop! Down right pissed off and can't even deal with this website anymore! Waste of time, money and gas!
Hello Caroline! Thank you very much for letting us know about what happened to you and we are so sorry that you encountered this issue. We want to make this right for you. Please, please, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll dive in.
$2K. Couple folks had same tickets. Guy at gate says happens all the time and to call SeatGeek. Bought them with Amex, so hopefully get money back.
Just changed my review from 1 to 5. While the Hamilton tickets were fraudulent due to a bad apple seller of tickets on the Seatgeek platform and it did ruin evening, SeatGeek handled situation quickly and in a very satisfactory manner. Look forward to using SeatGeek again.
Sean, that is a massively disappointing thing to hear and we're so sorry that this was your experience. Please email us at [email protected] and we'll work to not only refund you but discuss options for further compensation.
Just ordered my ticket through SeatGeek and it sounds good, the people on the phone very nice and reliable. I just hope this ticket comes through for STREISAND, I just love that woman!
Thanks for your feedback, James! Have fun at the show, we have a few Barbra Streisand fans around the office who are VERY jealous that you get to go! Let us know if you ever have any other questions. We're here to help!
Got to the playoff game and tickets were invalid. Worst experience ever. Humiliating... No response from email sent to seat geek. Dont ever use this site. No one has contacted me yet.
Daniel thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We are so sorry that you had a negative experience. We have VERY strict agreements to hold our sellers accountable in the event that our customers have any issues at the gate. I assure you our CX team will be in touch with you to make this right.
Answer: Shana is correct, Seat Geek takes no responsibility for tickets and have no customer service and will not return calls if things do not work out Stub Hub is much better
Answer: Hi Beth, Welcome to SeatGeek! In order to maintain our marketplace we do have fees, but we'll always show you a thorough price breakdown of your order before you can checkout. Plus, we've got options so you can actually search for tickets and see the fees included in the price from the get-go. Simply use the filter "Prices with fees" when searching for listings. You can read more about that here: https://support.seatgeek.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036685293 I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions-- Best wishes, SeatGeek CX Team
Answer: Hi Ciprian, Thanks for reaching out and no worries about being concerned. I can assure you SeatGeek is a safe place to buy tickets.
