The material is durable and water proof but extremely light so it must be kept stretched extremely tight. If heavy rain causes a "belly" to form the material will deform and the belly will get bigger and bigger. In my case, on a 32 foot boat, huge bellies formed and then froze. It took an axe and a sledge hammer to break up the ice floes that developed to prevent damage to the boat.
Once again, the support for the fabric, especially on a larger boat, must support and keep this light fabric stretched tight with I would guess a pitch of 12:1 to avoid serious problems.
Another problem is the long velcro strip athwart amidships which I suppose is to clear the radar array? It leaks too much water. We have a huge storm coming up this weekend with 2+ inches of rain forecast. I am going to try sealing the long velco strip area with gorilla tape to stop water pouring into the boat in heavy storms.
I would not recommend putting this cover on a larger boat left unattended.
The web site is easy to use. The cover fits great will order again asap.
