Hey, two months before i take a free trial of 30 days, i gave my credit card number. Now after every month a transaction for Rs. 583 had been done without giving any notification from your side, what the hell is this, i want it to rectify as soon as possible, and refund my money since i am not using your any of your applications. My account got overdrafted today, and, shocked, I went to see why. Curiously, for at least 3 months now I have been getting charged 9.99 for a scribd membership. What made this suspicious to me is that every month it id filed under a different category.one month it's music, the next it's Other/Business. I have tried my facebook account, as well as every email I own and I am still getting charged. I guess if I were to be contacted, use my email: *******@hotmail.com. Until then, I will be disputing this charge.

Not only did I never sign up for any trial and am getting charged but my bank canceled my debit card - gave me a new one- and somehow they got access to that number as well and charged it this month. I was charged today 5/24/2017 and i had already cancelled my membership and still was charged. I have no way of getting a hold of anyone from customer service and send several email. I just want my refund back and completely off of scribd. And when i cancelled it still says i have until june 23rd. I want nothing to do with this site and have not been on it.
Keep away from them. I cancelled my membership, and they continued to get money from my card. I cancelled my card at the bank and reported Scridb as thieves. They do Not respond to emails nor to phones calls. The phone number is a Scam too. They do Not respond.

I bought Scribd membership with the intention of using it just one month to download a PDF of a text that I wanted... then I realized there are LOADS of books, even VERY technical texts on Scribd. Plus loads of audiobooks that I can access. Now before I buy a book on Amazon, I first check Scribd to save myself some money.

Avoid at all costs. Cancelled my membership at end of trial. Payments were taken nonetheless, only stopping when my credit card happened to have expired! Somehow payments were taken even after this (when I activated my new credit card), and this despite me having sent an angry email to them when I discovered the initial payments, to which I received no response.

On 29th april 2017, I subscribed for one month free trial on scribd. Today (29 may 2017), 8.99 $ were automatically debited from my bank account without my permission and my subscription is renewed without notifying or asking me for the same before renewing. Kindly reply and refund the amount.

I purchased a membership for this subscription service. From my understanding I only agreed to purchase a 1 month membership. They have been charging me for over half a year now. I ma trying to cancel my account, there is no way I can talk to anyone pver the phone. The only solution offered is that I provide my personal credit info over email. I have made it clear that I am not comfortable sharing such info over email. I have asked multiple times to do this over the phone rather but they are not willing to make the accommodation.
I would NOT RECOMMEND this service. There are other options available for online subscription services that will be much more reliable and not cause a head ache.

I had turned off the autopayment/renewal for scribd premium membership that was till 23 may 2017. But still i was charged when i checked my account it says amount was charged at 1 am 24 may IST and my premium membership was activated. Its really of use to me as half the time i get the error we are unable to let u download error.
