SUPER fast shipping! All the clothes I received were excellent quality, but they weren't the same color advertised on the site (a few shades lighter/ darker). Overall, I would recommend it!
This is a fairly new company. They probably have kinks to work out and bad eggs to fire. There is a FAQ Page that is very informative. I am glad that I found this site and look forward to donating clothes. (What is protocol for unsellable items?) Never had any problems except clothes getting lost, but money is refunded (if I even paid money) plus 10 in credit to say sorry. I even considered applying for a job here. Great opportunities here for people who can't afford extra clothes to get them.
I am obsessed with Schoola! I've placed over 20 orders over the past year and am continuously impressed with the quality, price, and condition of items I receive. Schoola has had their growing pains and in the beginning I received many items that were completely miscategorized (wrong size, for a child rather than an adult, different color or material from what was listed, etc.) I also got items in less than stellar condition with staining, pilling, shrinkage, etc. (The sizing continues to be an issue, so many brands that are obviously children's, such as Children's Place, Gymboree, Justice, are categorized as women's.) I decided to stick with them and fortunately Schoola has improved and has always provided excellent customer service. Each time I've had a problem with an item, they've issued me a prompt refund and/or replacement credits. I've learned to always examine each item carefully on the website and never purchase anything marked "blemished," as it's not worth the risk. My latest orders have been great, and I've gotten some amazing deals, including three cashmere sweaters in mint condition which retail from $150++ for $1.50-$3. (Two were bought during their 50% off sale in September.) I've also gotten tons of dress pants/office type wear in excellent condition for $2-$3/piece. The other day I was in Macy's and saw the same exact down jacket that I purchased over the summer from Schoola for $6 for...$160! Unbelievable! (Another tip is that if you see a brand you are unfamiliar with, google it and you may be shocked to see the retail price of some of these "premium brands.")
The best part is that they are always running money saving promotions. They frequently offer (they happen to be running it now) free shipping with no minimum purchase amount. They also add new inventory daily. I am always hunting for the best deals in the store and on line and I've found some of the greatest deals on this site! It can take some digging to unearth these "diamonds" but it's worth it!
If you haven't already signed up, you can use my link below for $20 of free merchandise plus free shipping. Once you've ordered for the first time, you will be given a link to share with others, and every time someone uses your link to make a purchase, you will receive an additional $20 credit.

I started dealing with Schoola last year when I was trying to outfit a growing child mid-schoolyear inexpensively. The local thrift shop is HORRIBLE so when I heard about Schoola and the credits I signed up. Most of my purchases have been fine, fair price and fair items; a couple things were mis-sized (10 womens instead of 10 child for example) but everything has been as listed and received within a few weeks. I did send in a couple bags of clothes for my school too, it takes a while for clothes to show up but as long as you follow the site guidelines they do resell the items. I love the coupon codes and other discounts they email out on a regular basis. It's a huge help for someone who doesn't want to drive around yard sales and has only an overpriced rag selling thrift store in town.
I think it's absolutely stupid that you can't use two different accounts for the on to refer to another and turn can't use the same address either. I thought this was to help out schools and donate money to them. As long as they are getting money to schools it shouldn't matter how they get it as long as they get it. I won't use this site again
Hi Alora, Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback, and I'm sorry about your frustrating experience with our referral program. The program is intended to spread the word to families to help raise funds for schools. We have certain parameters in place, otherwise there'd be no limit to how much credit customer could receive. All of the terms are listed here: https://www.schoola.com/legal#referral If you have more questions don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected]. Thanks! Turi
I sent a full bag of clothing to this company to raise funds for my children's school. Right after I mailed the bag, I found a multitude of negative reviews of the company online, so I put a post-it note on my computer as a reminder to check the site daily until my donations showed up on the site to see how they were advertised, what they were priced for, etc. A couple of weeks later, four of the less expensive items appeared online (I sent in 15 items), in conjunction with the school I designated. When none of the other items showed up after another week, I called and was informed that "donations can be separated and items can take up to three weeks to appear online." It has now been several weeks since I submitted my donation, three of my four posted items are no longer on the site (hopefully sold), and I can only imagine that the nicer items (ie, two designer dresses with tags still on purchased only a few months ago) are gone forever and my school will never see a penny from those items. I don't know if it's company-wide, or just a few "bad apple" employees, but I suspect someone either consigned or kept my nicer items. I talked to another rep today who said "she takes feedback seriously" and "there is a problem with one of our warehouses that is affecting many schools." This is a great business concept, but I believe it is being poorly executed and preying on those of us who want to help underfunded schools. I'm making it my mission to spread the word. I'm sorry I "donated" to this shady business, and won't make the mistake again. I hope the proper regulatory agencies look into their practices and set things straight. Keeping "donations" is stealing. Clothes, monetary, or otherwise. So before you consider donating, remember that this company is not a non-profit, and until they legitimately deliver what they advertise (i. E., ALL of the clothes people send in are sold and the monies used to help their school of choice, not just select items), they are running a scam.
Hi Andrea, Turi here with Schoola. I'm so sorry to hear about your negative experience. If your issue is still not resolved, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly at [email protected] so I can look into it further. We definitely want to make sure your school gets the earnings it deserves! Turi
Some people are maybe just having bad times. I personally LOVE this site. Luckily I was able to get $30 in credit, which is awesome since I'm broke and need clothing. I got two t-shirts, one men's hoodie, and a pair of leggings. Every item came in perfect condition, and the hoodie has no pilling or otherwise- it's still super soft! And they send with your order a bag to donate your own clothes to. The order said it would be 14-21 days to arrive. I ordered it last Saturday and Sunday and it came this past Wednesday and Thursday (I live in Dayton, OH). Will definitely be ordering again!
I recently found out about schoola.com and thought I'd give it a try. With a signup bonus of $20 and an additional $10 credit for creating a collection on their site I thought why not, sounds like a great deal. Well after filling up my cart and applying the credits I still had to enter my cc info ( which I was kind of anxious about but did anyways). My total said $0.00 but yet when I checked my credit card statement 2 days later, sure enough, I've been charged for the purchase. I wish I would have came here and read the reviews before I wasted my time with these people.
Update 11/2/15: I called and got my order canceled and my money was refunded. I still had a $28 dollar credit so not one to waste free money I made another order and it has now been 5 days and I have yet to hear anything about my order being shipped or even that it is processing. There is not even a way to get on their website and check the status of your order which I find really weird. So for now I'll be sticking with my original advice and letting people know to not waste their time. Shouldn't have bothered with giving them a second chance.
Hi L. S., Turi here with Schoola. I'm so sorry to hear that, and I'll make sure to pass your note along to our tech team to look into this further, as it sounds like a tech glitch. Our customer care team will be able to reimburse you for your order if they haven't already: [email protected]. Thanks for providing this feedback so we can look into, and apologies. Turi
I read some reviews and was nervous about placing my order, but I had a good deal and got my order for very cheap. I was actually surprised when every piece was in good condition--great condition! No holes or stains, no weird smells. Maybe I just got lucky, but my order was perfect.
Becky, Thanks so much for taking the time to share your positive experience and also for shopping to support school programs for kids! Turi
Schoola is a used clothing website that has several promotions running. When these are combined, the result is totally free clothes!
Schoola is NOT a scam. Search youtube and you will find many reviews from women who have purchased clothes there:

You will find a lot of bad reviews here for Schoola. However, if you're getting something for free, you really have nothing lose!
EVERY PIECE I GOT WAS STAINED BEYOND SAVING YOU WOULD THINK THERE WAS A CERTAIN STANDARD BUT NO ITS ALL JUNK THRIFT STORES TOP THIS SITE 100%
Stacy, Turi here with Schoola. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. All of our items are donated and unfortunately it sounds like these slipped through the cracks. If you haven't already, don't hesitate to reach out to customer care so they can reimburse you for your purchase: [email protected]. Thank you for shopping to support schools, and again, I apologize for your experience. Turi
Believe all the negative reviews you hear! This company should be shut down! They are completely misleading. I purchased my first, and last order from them. I purchased $50 worth of junk clothing. You'd be better off going to Goodwill, or some other thrift store for clothing versus these guys! Only 3 pieces of 9 items ordered were wearable. They advertised that the clothing I purchased was in good condition. Nowhere did it say they had defects. Granted the clothes are in used condition, so some wear is normal. However, the items I received were beyond normal wear & tear! 1 shirt had a black pen mark across the front. The 2nd shirt had a huge black marker stain on the back. A pair of pants had multiple tiny holes & tears on the back. 2 other tops had bleach stains either on the front or back. Oh & then there was a sweater that was a navy blue on the website, but they sent me a sky blue sweater. It wasn't the same sweater & looked like an old sweater your grandma would wear! The pictures I viewed showed or made no mention about the defects. Yet, when I received my items it's all I could see! I am beyond pissed! These people are a scam! They say your purchase goes to schools. I'm not even convinced of that! And they try to say they overlooked the defects. Unbelievable! The best advice I can give to someone looking to purchase from these guys is to just say no!
Hi Ciera, Turi here with Schoola. I'm so sorry to hear that the items you received were not as listed. We do our best to quality check all the donated items, and it sounds like some of the items you received slipped through the cracks. We're constantly working to improve our quality check process. If you haven't already, don't hesitate to reach out to customer care so they can reimburse you for the items: [email protected]. And I can assure you that 40% of funds go to schools. It's very important to us to make a difference for children's education. Thanks, Turi
I have placed a couple of orders with Schoola. The first one I received no problem. The second I never received. And there is no place on their site to check order status. Luckily I used credit and am not out any money. Still a bad practice to not send an order with no reason as to why.
Hi Sonya, Turi here with Schoola. I'm so sorry to hear about the issue with your order. If you haven't already, make sure to reach out to our customer care team to check in on the status of your order ([email protected]). Also, I wanted to let you know that we're working on a way to check your orders from your account on our site, and now we have updated our iOS app so you can currently check the status of your orders from the app. Thanks again for your feedback. Turi, Schoola
Last fall my family donated a bunch to schoola. We all ordered things as well. At first glance. Everything was great. Good mission great deals etc. and then I started to notice that some of the clothing that was ordered was NOT the correct sizes. Ordered womens size 16 shorts received little girls shorts instead. A boys 18/20 sweater for school pictures (my nephew) turned out to be a WOMANS 18/20 plus size sweater. The clothing smelled bad for the most part and was clearly not laundered before being sent out. I took a break from the site for almost a year now. And was going through some of my clothing again to donate for this fall season and I hop on the site to see if there was anything I could possibly buy for myself to get a donation bag. And was DISGUSTED and SHOCKED to browse through the site and see the complete misrepresentation of clothing and shoes.
They had a mens xl "op" v neck t shirt USED for $28 they claimed it was 50% off retail and that that t shirt retails for almost $100. I was shocked. I complained about it. They changed the price. I then was looking through the shoes and saw womens size 10 old navy flip flops new with tags $30 they claimed they retailed for like $50 or something like that (I am not 100% sure of the prices just guessing) I wrote again that the description was WAY OFF. And that those flip flops retail every single day in the store for $2.50 a pair. So for them to jack the price and lie to people in such a way was completely WRONG. The shoes were then removed. So now I go through some pages weekly and flag the HUNDREDS of misrepresented items. In my opinion now. This website is a disgusting SCAM. And they are using innocent school children to pull it off. If you are running a clothing based website. You should hire people that have EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF CLOTHING. These people are literally just GUESSING the sizes GUESSING if a shirt is a mens or womans shirt and they are clearly Inflating MSRP'S of pretty much ALL the clothing some ten times the ACTUAL MSRP. Yeah there are some great steals on that site. But after seeing a men's night shirt being sold for $80 and being mislead to believing it retails for $170 (I have tons of these shirts and they are only sold in packs of 2 and they retail for $30 for both shirts) I am DONE. I wrote a complaint to the BBB. And I am hoping this site gets investigated. I literally was so moved by the mission behind this site to begin with last year. I had pretty much all of my neighbors donating and ordering including my mother uncle and sister. I was ordering clothing with credit and donating the stuff I got for referring my neighbors to local shelters for the winter season. Donating to the domestic violence shelter and the local mission. And while I am thankful that those clothing were put to use no matter WHAT SIZE they were. I am kicking myself in the butt for any money I spent on this site. SO PEOPLE. USE THIS SITE AT YOUR OWN RISK. WHEN YOU SEE A PRICE THAT DOESNT SEEM RIGHT. USE COMMON SENSE. RESEARCH THE BRAND. This website is run off our DONATIONS. The clothes they are SELLING cost them NOTHING. We bought that stuff with our own money and wanting to help kids GIFTED this stuff so SCHOOLA could sell it for profit. They have no business charging some one $50 for a used OP t shirt that retails for $6 at KMART and that they got FREE. It is a complete slap in the face to all of us that stood behind this website and promoted it all over social media... I urge you all to FLAG clothing items that are way over priced. Mislabeled, misrepresented and I also urge you to write to the better business bureau and make complaints. I love children I want to help children I want to help the homeless with warm clothing for the winter. But I will NEVER use this site again. I would rather donate to LOCAL schools if they need new supplies. I would rather take the clothing I don't wear any more to LOCAL shelters where they will be GIVEN AWAY TO A PERSON IN NEED. Then to continue sending Schoola clothing that I work hard to buy. For them to turn around makes ten times their value pocket a ton of money and "MAYBE" donate 40% to schools. They are selling OUR USED ITEMS AND TAKING 60% PROFIT ALL IN THE NAME OF INNOCENT LITTLE KIDS... if you want a good deal on clothing go to your local thrift shop!
P. S to the schoola reps that troll this site justifying your shady practices save your breath responding to this. I will continue to make the online community aware of what you are doing to people. And I will not respond to anything you have to say. I have filed complaints with the BBB and I hope you are investigated and shut down for SCAMMING and LYING to people..
Hi Shannon, Turi here with Schoola. I'm so sorry to hear about the issues with your orders--when you reached out to customer care you should have received a refund for the items that were mislabeled. If for some reason you didn't, please feel free to mention I'd been in touch with you. I can guarantee that the sales of the clothes on our site do indeed raise funds for schools and have made a big difference. Again, I appreciate your feedback and will make sure to pass your message along. We're constantly working on making improvements to make the experience better, to better support our mission to raise funds for schools. Thanks, Turi
I did not receive a credit to an order despite having a credit. Multiple emails with no research or really reading the email to begin with, and told all about schoola's process like it was my job. Left two voicemails also that were not returned.
Called on the phone and was told how I was "resistant to being helped." I was speechless and told the rep that it was not productive. She did not like the fact that I showed her that she did not understand emails written. Wished I had recorded it. I guess that the rep is the customer.
I just want my credit.
Very disappointed overall. I have already donated, but will most likely cuts ties.
I had planned to donate more.
Hi PJ, Turi with Schoola here. Thanks for the additional feedback about your experience. As follow up to my earlier email here, a senior member of our team has reached out to you directly with a call to make sure your issue was resolved and help you out directly. Thanks for your patience. Turi, Schoola
I orders 4 items for my grandchildren. Two are in very good shape BUT the other two are dirty and one is more then 'gently used'. I have very mixed thoughts about the company. IF, and I mean IF I ever order from them again, I will be looking at items that are 'new and have tags'. It's a great idea what they are trying to accomplish, but they really need to have more quality control if they want people to trust them and repurchase again.
Hi Sue, Turi here with Schoola. Thanks so much for your feedback, and I'm so sorry to hear about the issues with your order. All items are donated by parents, and then checked for quality before being posted on our site and it sounds like a couple items slipped through the cracks. Don't hesitate to reach out to customer care to let them know about the problems with your order so they can make things right: [email protected]. Thanks, Turi
So i discovered schoola.com recently and seen i could get $25 credit and free shipping
So i signed up, added items to my cart and went to checkout
I had to enter a credit card to check out. I entered the credit card and seen the total said $0.00 so it meant i was getting some free clothes.
Now ten minutes after i ordered i checked my credit card balance and seen they charged my card. When i emailed them about it then 2 days later they replied and said i was ineligible for the credit and they marked the issue/ticket closed
Then i reopened the issue/ticket and asked for them to cancel the order and refund me.
Then a day later i receive an email stating my order was shipped out in 2 packages.
Today i received one package and the one of the items are in really bad shape and the threading is just hanging there. I thought it was GENTLY used and GOOD condition clothes but of course i get ripped off.
There customer service is a complete joke
So im basically forced to just accept that i was ripped off
Hi Robbie, Turi here with Schoola. Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that it doesn't sound like your issue has been resolved. I want to reassure you that Schoola is certainly not a scam--we sell used clothing to raise funds for schools, and feel very passionate about making a difference in children's lives. It sounds like there was some sort of a confusion or a technical glitch with your credits, and we definitely want to help you get to the bottom of it. If you'd like to reach out to customer care again, don't hesitate to let them know that you've been in touch with me (Turi) and I can give them more background info. Thank you for your patience as we work to get this straightened out for you. Turi, Schoola
Below is an email I sent to Schoola after my last email. I never received a reply. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.
To whomever this may concern:
I want to fill you in on my experiences with Schoola so far, so that hopefully your company can take this feedback and make some improvements.
My first experience with schoola was during a time you were running a deal with a $15 credit for signing up and free shipping. This was a compelling enough bargain to get me to try Schoola, so I signed up and shared my link and had two others sign up also from my link. The items I receieved were all in great condition, except that one of the items was the wrong item. When I wrote to you about it, you gave me a free credit. Great, no problems. Then I heard from one of my friends who signed up that all of the items she received were in terrible condition, even though she had selected only "good" condition clothings. She told me they weren't even in good enough condition to resell or pass on to anyone else.
I ordered again with a free credit. I received my items, but one of the items I received was what was supposed to be a t-shirt. It was very clearly a pajama shirt. The kind that is non-flammable. There is no reason that you should be selling a pajama shirt as a t-shirt. It's very very easy to tell that they are pajamas. If you want to have a section to sell second hand pajamas, great, but please sell them as a full set and clearly labeled as pajamas. As it is, it went into the trash because I had no use for it and it cannot be sold to consignment stores around here.
Later I received a message from you guys that I had 40-some dollars to use in credits. Great! Except that I didn't, and somehow you had sent me that message in error. I wasted a significant amount of time filling up my basket only to find I had no credits, and I really wasn't wanting to spend my own money at the time. You did give me another small credit to use, but by this time, I'm wary with how many mistakes you've made.
My last order I somehow had another credit and free shipping to use, and ordered a couple t-shirts. They came and were in great condition- yay! However they are ruined because you guys decided to put tags through the shirts, leaving sizable holes in each one. Sad :( Why, why would you do that? If you think they need a tag (they don't) make sure you're not ruining clothes by jamming it through the actual material and make sure you only put it on the tags inside the clothes.
The good in this is that I've spent almost no money with you guys, because of taking advantage of all the free credits. The bad news for you guys is that I will never be compelled to spend money with you based on all of these previous problems. You stuff is not priced all that well compared to consignment stores in my area, and I would frequently have to pay shipping on top of it. I'm taking a big risk not being able to inspect the clothes in person and then even if they are great clothes in good condition, you guys are ruining them with your stupid tags. I also cannot in good conscience recommend your company to anyone else.
I like the idea behind Schoola, but so far, your execution has been severely lacking. I hope you can take this criticism and make some positive changes to improve your business plan and provide a better experience for your customers.
Hi Alicia, Turi here with Schoola. Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed and thorough feedback. I've reached out to our customer care team to check in on the status of your inquiry. We hope you'll give us another chance, and understand your frustration. Turi, Schoola
Out of 3 orders, something was missing from every single one, they also overcharged me $30. Terrible site.
Turi here with Schoola. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. Our items are all donated by parents and one of a kind, and it sounds like there was a glitch. If you haven't already, don't hesitate to reach out to customer care so they can help make things right: [email protected]. Turi
I ordered a new with the tag still on denim skirt and several name brand pants for my boys. Don't forget to check the High End collections and New Collections at the top. Like any thrift store, you need to read the descriptions, and zoom into the photos before using. I am really happy with this store and the products I have ordered so far. I will be using it again. Here is the link I use. If you use it, you get a $15 dollar credit and I do, too. After you join, sign up for a collection and you will get another $10. Then, use #schoolasummer in the coupon box and you will get another $25 off. Shipping is free (right now) So that is $50 in FREE clothes and Free Shipping, too. Have fun!
