I have donated multiple bags, referred a dozen people with it being so close to school time. Well then they decide to deactivate my account and cancelled half the orders these people made... all bc they said the accounts werent real. However they were very real and these people really needed the clothes. So from now on, i wont send anyone there.
MOST of SCHOOLAS bad reviews are from lack of patience, complainers & people Who Have Broken The Rules & had more than 1 account but We once fell In LOVE With SCHOOLA so MUCH that we placed 9-10 orders total... Only 1 item ever went missing, 2 wrong sizes (that'll work out later), a very faded blk leggins and a lace sweater that had cut-outs the size of fists in the back -unbelievable- And SCHOOLA Surprised us with a $10 Credit that Expired w/in a week and because of the new school week and the NWEA testing and not seeing the deadline sooner we missed the credit deadline and they had Zero Empathy and did not care at all to simply extend it another day... we WERE very Happy on the purchasing & receiving end and know of the donation wait-time because we asked them first-WE LOVE ALL THE ITEMS WE GOT & even the 2 wrong sizes will work out a couple years from now but the $10 CREDIT Basically covers shipping on the $40. PLUS Order we were Going to place but they have now lost all of our future business to Ebay. Schoola was AWESOME when their Shipping Was Not As High As It Now Has Become so for our family to not be getting any deal or able to use a simple credit that basically covered shipping we will be happy to go back to buying again on Ebay. Wish you LUCK & Happiness -Goodbye Schoola! Jenn. & Izzy, MI
Jenn, So glad to hear you're enjoying shopping at Schoola! Thanks for helping support schools, too! Turi
Got a Referral Credit from a friend so I decided to give Schoola a try. Received my order today and received 3 items that were WOMENS sizes when they were clearly listed as Grade School XS ((double checked the order receipt as well)) Including a Dress that was supposed to be a GRADE SCHOOL GIrls XS and its a Womens XS. How can you confuse this? Really? The quality was meh... Two of the items listed in Good condition had spot stains on them as well. So they will be used for play clothes. I will stick with Thredup or Flipsize.
Hi KR, Turi here with Schoola. Sorry to hear that the items you purchased were mislabeled--all of our items are donated and one of a kind, and it sounds like there was an error in processing. Don't hesitate to reach out to our customer care team so they can reimburse you for those items: [email protected]. Thanks for shopping to support schools. Turi
THEY ARE STEALING OUR DONATIONS FOR THEIRSELVES. THEY RANDOMLLY CLOSE AS MANY ACCOUNTS AS THEY CAN. THEY DID NOT GIVE NO MONEY TO MY CHILDS SCHOOLA AND I SENT I 27 BAGS PERSONALLY. THEY ARE HORRIBLE AND I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT THEY DO NOT CLEAN THEIR CLOTHING AT ALL SO THEIR IS SOME TALK OF BUG TRANSFERRING. CUSTOMER SERVICE DONT CARE NOR ARE HELPING ANYTHING. AND THEY HARRASSED AND CLOSED ACCOUNTS ON PEOPLE ON MOTHERS DAY WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE CLOSED. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE CARES. HOLLY IS A HORRIBLE EMPLOYEE. AND DANIELL TOLD EVERYONE THEY CAN USE THE SAME COMPUTER BUT NOW THAT IS WHY ACCOUNTS ARE CLOSING FOR NO REASON. WHICH IT DONT MATTER THEY SEND THE WRONG SIZES ALL THE TIME AND CLAIM THEY LOOSE THE GOOD ITEMS ALL THE TIME. I BELEIVE THEIR EMPLOYEES JUST TAKE THEM. I GOT A EMAIL FROM A SCHOOLA COACH AND THEY HAD THEIR LINK IN IT. HOW PATHETIC!
Hi Alana, Thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. I was able to check in with the team here on your account details. Per our one account per household rule, we put your account on hold. Because of the volume of donations we receive, there is currently a processing backlog and your items should hit the site soon if they meet our donation requirements.
I've only ordered from them 3 times, but they've been great. Yes, there have been little issues, but they are always more than willing to fix them. I ordered 2 yrs back and they said the sweater I ordered was in worse condition than they had marked it and therefore refunded me the price of the sweater and I got to keep it. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I ordered again about 2 weeks ago. Order came before I expected it. I was missing a shirt and 1 pair of pants was a children's plus size. They refunded me the amount I spent and gave me some store credit. I have been more than happy with their customer service and speedy response times. The only thing they could do, is put a little better description for the clothes. I thought I was buying a pair of skinny jeans, but they were jeggings. Not a huge deal to me, but some might be upset by it.
Thanks so much for your feedback! Turi, Schoola
They are bad about double posting clothes, sending wrong sizes and DO NOT order shoe's from them as you will never get them... I have been sent several orders with items missing, some not right sex, some wrong size and some with a Huge hole. The ones who are saying you have sent in clothes and do not see them, It is because they send them to their sister companies that do not donate and make large profit from them. After today Of getting a rude nasty email because I complained again about getting wrong sizes. They told me I would have to pay for return shipping before refund... I wasn't asking for nothing. I just wanted them to know YET again my order was messed up. I wish before referring people I would have done a little research about the companies... There is 3 of them so be Cautious of who you sell to, who you donate to and who you buy from. I've spent 250 in the past 2 months and several peieces have been sized wrong or just not there or have orders sit and then get an Opps 3 weeks later the item was not in stock. Really... because they had sold it for a higher price on their other site... Shop Local, These businesses won't last long... This is what I got when emailing them
I have never requested a refund and have always volunteered to return the items that I have got that were wrong. I have always just messaged them when my order's have been incorrect and I have spent 248.53 in cash to be exact in 2 months. This is what was sent to me per email, because of lack of warehouse doing their job or lack of website postings of sizing...

Hi Marlene,
Thank you for reaching out to Schoola. I'm sorry to hear that your recent order was unsatisfactory. Due to the large number of returns you have been requesting we will need you to ship the items back at your cost before we can issue a refund. The address to our warehouse is:
ATTN Maria
1655 Watkins Rd.
Columbus, OH *******
Once we receive the items we will issue a refund.
Have a great day!
Hi Marlyy, Turi here with Schoola. Thanks so much for taking the time to provide your feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that you received items you weren't completely satisfied with. If items were damaged, unavailable, or not as labeled we should be able to refund them if you reach out to our customer care team at [email protected]. As far as donations, we currently have a donation backlog so you may not see your items posted on the site for several months, but we're working as quickly as possible to get through this backlog. If donations do not meet our criteria, we are unable to sell them on our site. Don't hesitate to reach out to [email protected] with any additional questions. Best, Turi
Bought a pair of shorts from them at the size I normally wear and could barely get them past my knees. Tried again with two other pairs at several sizes up from what I normally wear with the same result. I swear they were labeled as being women's sizes on the site, but based on the fit these were definitely girl's sizes. At least the top I got fit well. Moral of the story: if you're a curvy/heavier woman like me, maybe just buy tops from here and go somewhere else for bottoms.
Hi Angela, I'm sorry to hear you weren't happy with your orders. From your description, it sounds like you may have received items that were mislabeled. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer care team at [email protected]. Thanks, Turi
Please explain how to block this pest. I can not get rid of schoola propaganda. No place to unsubscribe this uninvited nuisance. Please help.
Hi Linda, Turi here with Schoola. You can unsubscribe from our email list by hitting "unsubscribe" or feel free to reach out to our customer care email at [email protected]. Thanks, Turi
Between the $10 credit at sign up, $10 credit for making a collection and the 50% off coupon I only spent $4.00 on three outfits for my son! Plus 40% of all sales going to help schools is amazing!
The main problem I see is that there are only three categories for condition (New with tags, Good, and Blemished), and there seems to be a very wide range of what counts as "Good". I ordered all Good condition clothing; a couple pieces looked like they may never have even been worn but two had obvious piling and two had holes (and one of those also had pit stains). That means that almost 50% of my items seemed like they should have been marked as "Blemished" instead of "Good".
Luckily I had gotten all the clothes for free (new member + created a closet + 50% off code = $60 for free) so I can't really be too disappointed. I would have been more disappointed if I had paid, and I don't think I'd try them again since I don't trust the quality of the items I would get.
Hi Kate, Thank you for your feedback. It sounds like some of your items' conditions were incorrectly marked. Don't hesitate to reach out to our customer care teams o they can make things right for you: [email protected]. Thanks, Turi
I received a $20 credit for having a referral. Then for creating a closet, I got $10 more. This is what sucked me in. My first order came in a few days. That was yesterday, so I'll have a few more coming soon :) The only complaint I have is that I referred my friend and she never got the $20 credit.
Hi Dena, Thanks for the positive feedback! Don't hesitate to have your friend reach out to customer care about her referral credit. There are a few stipulations/reasons she may have not received it. For instance if you were using the same computer or device, or share an email, mailing, or billing address, or if she had an existing account. Thanks, Turi
This is a really nice site to get some free clothes. I've ordered $60 worth of free maternity clothes from them and they were all in nice condition. One of the items, a pair of shorts, looked nothing like they did in the picture, but that's the only problem I've had with my orders. I don't like how they have such few plus size clothes, but that's okay because I order clothing to give people for gifts instead! My sister also signed up on the site and got some free clothes, she was happy with them besides one shirt that had three small stains on it. But either way, I'll definitely keep on being a member! The only real complaint I have is how long shipping takes.
Now for those of you who are complaining on here about your donated item not showing up on Schoola, or a check not being sent to the school, read the Donor FAQ on the website. It specifically states that if an item is badly damaged, has a missing tag, or can't retail for $15 new, then they won't accept the item. Instead, they redistribute the item and give only 29c to the school. Regarding school checks, they are only distributed twice a year in January and July and they have to reach $20 by that time period or the check is not sent, it is rolled over into the next period.
Hi Danielle, Turi here with Schoola. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! For the item you received that was different than listed, don't hesitate to reach out to our customer care team: [email protected]. Also, good news about plus-size--we were having some tech issues with the plus-size items going into the plus-size category, but that is now resolved so you should see more plus-size items in the future. Thank you for your patience as we worked through this bug. Best, Turi
I had no problem buying items, but I donated two bags of clothes (including designer bags) and I never saw any of it listed on the site to sell. As far as I know, my son's school never saw a penny from my donations to Schoola.com. I'll never do that again!
Hi Marianne, Thanks for reaching out. Have you contacted our customer care team at [email protected] to look into the status of your donations? This fall and winter we had a tremendous outpouring of donations, which is wonderful. That said, we have a backlog we are working through so your items may have not hit the site yet. Please don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks, Turi
We have had several people donate items to this company and our school has not seen a penny of the proceeds.
Hi Melissa, Thanks for reaching out. Our customer care team can look into the donations you're inquiring about--simply email [email protected]. Please note, due to the volume of donations we've received in the fall, we are currently a couple months behind on processing donations, but hope to catch up soon. We appreciate your patience. Thanks, Turi
So I've made two orders, one for a leather/suede DKNY City jacket and the other order for Lucky Brand Jeans, a Levi's denim jacket, a denim skirt and a (I think wool?) Sag Harbor blazer. The first order came and I was pleased, the jacket coming as described. Can't wait to bring it out soon.
The second order just came and everything but the wool blazer was received. Besides that, it came nice and folded, cleaned and looking better than some thrift stores. I will be shopping here again, and honestly, it's a hit or miss (based on the reviews) but I'd say take your chances. You're more likely in receiving it as expected than not. Also, I've got a few friends who bought from Schoola and never had a problem.
Hi Adi, Turi here with Schoola. Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad that you've been able to discover some great finds on the site. All of our items are donated, and it sounds like one of them was no longer available. You should have been reimbursed for this item automatically, but if you weren't, don't hesitate to reach out to customer care at [email protected]. Thanks, Turi
This scamming website is a good for nothing. Just go to your local thrift store and buy used clothing instead of this * website. I bet they don't even donate money to schools. Also... Where are my items that I orders thousands of years ago?!?!
Hi Sarah, Turi here with Schoola. Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. Our customer care team can help look into your order. They can be contacted at [email protected] or (855) 454-2956. You can be assured that 40% of proceeds do go to schools. Here's our year in review blog post, which helps illustrate just what your orders do to help schools: http://blog.schoola.com/2015/12/23/youve-made-this-year-the-best/
To schoola: I just read your response to my review of your company and am disappointed. It wasn't an adequate answer and I don't understand why you're sidestepping the actual problem in your response. Find a better solution to all these missing items from these people who have reviewed your company instead of generating these generic responses.
Hi Nicole, Turi here with Schoola. I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your orders. It sounds like your first order was damaged in transit. I'm glad our customer care team was able to reimburse your aunt for the missing items and we appreciate your feedback. All of our items are one of a kind, and it sounds like those items were no longer available. We hope you'll try us again. All orders benefit schools with 40% of proceeds going to underfunded school programs. Thanks, Turi
More than once they have messed up my order & either sent me something wrong or they didn't send me anything at all. They refuse to EVER give me compensation for their $#*! ups. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
It's always something with one of their "warehouses". Other have had the same problem. They make you pay for something they don't have, THEN tell you, it won't be sent to you. 3 items. I'm missing 3 items because I believe one of their warehouse "workers" stole them, or they sold them to someone else and received multiple payments from multiple people for one single item. None absolutely NONE of their money goes to schools anywhere. It's a scam. They send you awful clothing (or no clothing) then ask for you to send in your own clothes so they can sell the ugly clothes, and keep the higher quality clothes for themselves.
Hi Nina, Turi here with Schoola. I apologize for your negative experience. All of our items are one of a kind, and it sounds like a few of your items weren't available. Our policy would be of course to reimburse you for those items. Don't hesitate to reach out to customer care at [email protected]. Also, I want to assure you that 40% of the proceeds do go to schools. You can read about our year in review here: http://blog.schoola.com/2015/12/23/youve-made-this-year-the-best/
I've bought from them several times and sent in 3 bags of clothes. I've never had a missing item and most of the items I've purchased have been decent quality. I've been disappointed by a few things that were really dingy, stained, or faded, but for the most part my purchases have been good. I'm more concerned with what's happened with clothes I've sent in. About half my items never showed up online. I see all kinds of garbage listed so I know they aren't picky about what they take. It was some of my better items that never showed up online, so where did they go? Also, it says I've earned over $100 for my school and yet months after I sent my items in I got an email saying a check for something around $30 was going to my school. So, where is the other $70? It's been about a year now since I sent my first bag in and 6 months since I sent the other 2 bags. I'm not being impatient.
Hi Jenny, Turi here with Schoola. Thanks for your feedback. Our customer care team will be able to answer questions about your donations in more detail--they can be reached at [email protected]. Checks for schools are sent 4 times a year, which is likely why you were seeing the lower amount in your email. The school page includes the total. Donated items are not always processed at the same time depending on brand, category, etc, which may be why you haven't seen them hit the site yet. Again, our customer care team would be happy to look more closely for you. Thanks for your donations. Turi
So when an item wasn't available that I ordered they gave me the money back AND $10 CREDIT. Their customer support is very fast, and their staff is very nice. The website is also nice and they have a nice collection of clothing. This probably one of my favorite sites I've ever been on.
Answer: Hi Larissa, thanks for writing in. If you haven't been able to track your bags on the site, please feel free to contact our customer care team at [email protected] so that we can investigate - we'd also be happy to look at and share the details on how much each of your school's items has raised. Sincerely, Turi
