I was so happy to order this fragrance that Ive wanted for the last 20 years. Tendre Poison by Christian Dior. Being that I have just 2 sprays of the original left. I woke up to my package this morning and couldn't wait to open it then spray it and have it bring me back in time to 1995 and swarm me with all the fun, beautiful memories it reminds me of. Instead I smelled regret. I'm so upset. I really needed to relive those memories.

I requested American Eagle Real for women from the ScentMatchers' listing of discontinued perfumes. The first perfume they sent, had a terrible odor and gave me a headache. I reported this to the company and they requested a sample. I they sent them a sample of AE Real and recently received a replacement, it was the same as the first, no different. I told I am dissatisfied with their service and requested a refund. They stated they do not give refunds. DO NOT waste your money... terrible company, false advertising.

The good news is that they were able to match the scent of my favorite perfume, TOVA, very closely.
Unfortunately that's where the good news stops. The first thing wrong was that once applied, the scent does not stay on very long at all. I found myself having to reapply every 30 minutes to an hour in order to keep the perfume smell noticeable.
Secondly, and more importantly, the scent changes in the bottle over a relatively short period of time to something unpleasant. It is a very distinctive odor that is no longer Tova and in fact, not even perfume smelling. It transforms into something like an astringent disinfectant smell and it's quite off-putting.
I was so disappointed as it is virtually impossible to find TOVA anywhere these days and I thought they had nailed it at first.
I will not be re-ordering unless these issues can be fixed.

I had ordered a remake of an old bath and body works scent that was discontinued over a decade ago. They sent me a bottle and it smelled like musty old perfume that was sitting on a shelf of an antique store for decades. I emailed to complain and they offered me a re-do. They sent me a lot to give them a sample, (a sample of a scent that I did not have because it was discontinued over a decade ago hence me ordering from them) however I digress, so I had to find the cheapest smallest body wash version of the scent on EBay. I put that in their kit and shipped it off awaiting my re-do bottle. Just got it in the mail, and it's as horrible musty and stinky as the first one. They had originally claimed that this is what their samples smelled like- so clearly their samples are very old and very expired too! I wouldn't recommend ordering from them unless the perfume you're chasing is still available for purchase elsewhere or if it was just recently discontinued- otherwise the scent profile is completely off.

I feel bad writing this post- but it seems that buying from this site was a bad choice-- I received an advertised replica scent that was vile and smelled nothing like the cologne it was suppose to mimic-- though customer service was quick to respond, they offered no solution and stopped responding to emails-- I tried my best to work it out with them but now I have to go through the hassle of a credit card dispute-- buyers beware!

I was so excited to try ScentMatchers because my favorite perfume in the whole world, "Promise Me" by Aeropostale (light blue bottle), was discontinued, and it was usually $12 at Aeropostale and now sells used for $100 on eBay. I received my order from Scentmatchers yesterday and although it's a very pleasant smell it does not smell like Promise Me at all. I understand everyone smells things differently but I was very disappointed:(
I almost want to send them my old bottle of Promise Me so they can replicate it a little better. If I have any other discontinued perfumes I will still try ScentMatchers since they are a great family business, so hopefully better luck next time!

I got the cologne last night after I got home from work. I still have a tiny bit of the original left, and did a test with my 17 year old daughter, and was amazed at how very close the two are. What I had left was perfume, and bought the cologne. The scents are so very close to being identical. The undertones were exact, but the perfume from the original had a slight over tone but I do not know what the scent is that I smell first with it. I am beyond thrilled to have found ScentMatchers.
