Poor service
August 3, 2022

Paid my bill in full at he Sally store in Worcester on Stanford St. And of course the bank never received my payment. I had to get the BBB to help on this. Biggest mistake of my life was getting this Sally credit card. Paid this again in full and cancelled account.

Dishonest Advertising

I get emails stating free 2 hour delivery for orders over 35 dollars, yet when I attempt to submit and order for 40-50 dollar orders…they still try to charge me the delivery fee. No coupon codes are given for the free delivery, so there is no way to actually get what they advertise.

Not able to contact

I attempted to contact the store in Parsippany to find out if they had an item in stock. The phone either rings away - with no one answering - or it rings once and then switches to a busy signal, making it impossible to talk to anyone there. I called another Sally's and was informed that the one in Parsippany is closing. This is not the first time I have been disappointed by the Parsipanny location.

I worked for Sally's for a total of 6 months as a manager. I came in on a Monday was running my store on a Wednesday. They were in a process of hiring a district manager i wasn't trained at all so when I did something that was correct I was coached not one time when I told Monica the new district Manager i wasn't trained I was learning as I went she did nothing. Needless to say I was fired. This lady had to other black women yo leave as well one I know personally that wasn't fully trained either. Sad to say that I was so excited about my opportunity with Sally's until they hired that racist monster.

Terrible support team, abominable policies

I don't live close to a sally beauty that i can get to on public transit, but close enough for 2-hour delivery. I made a mistake with an order that i instantly tried to solve only to realize that you can't edit or cancel ANY order pre shipment (delivery or pickup) and support got an attitude with me when i explained my problem. I got the (wrong) item anyway, and sally never explained that delivery was through DOORDASH, so i almost turned them away because i hadn't ordered any food. Im still waiting on a refund but i would never order from sally ever again, their policies are inconsiderate considering their lack of availability in certain areas and the fact that we're still in a pandemic and not everyone can leave the house.

Went to Sally's to get hair dye. Not one sales person could help us, we spent a long time looking for tips online and choose our own. I asked both women to help us and they basically had no info to provide. I called the next day to try to get some instructions on how to use the developer and again horrible customer service we will never go back. Unprofessional, rude and all in all not a good place to support with our business.

I recently got my cosmo license and I've spent a thousand dollars at my local Sally's. My last purchase was a trimmer that didn't work and I was told they don't do returns on equipment. Are you kidding me really well why sell it then or tell your customers before they purchase that if something is wrong you won't do anything about it. Scott Wilson Johnstown, PA store

I went in Sally's looking for a good bleach to use on my virgin hair and the manager(jessica) told me to mix bleach with conditioner even though on the package it said to use a developer. When I asked about it she said it would work best for my hair when I got home it wouldn't even mix I ended up just going to a salon.

I purchase 13 of the same item Jamaican castor oil with water with a buy one get one free and a 30% off coupon and Sally Beauty Company online said that my product was damaged and and would not issue me the same product for the same price. Basically they lied and said my product was damaged but it was really because of the coupon code I save 20 bucks and I a x customer care representative can't see honor it and she said no and gave me some fugazi story. I feel like it was very disrespectful as a company to not honor to a loyal customer

I went to exchange 2 hair colors for a different shade (same price, brand) and on the original purchase I used my accumulated rewards of $20 towards my purchase and my balance was $8 and change. When I went to exchange I was not told that I would lose my rewards (totalling $20). When I was balancing my banking the next day I saw a charge for $22 and change on my card where I thought I was supposed to have a credit from my rewards. I called the store and they confirmed that if you use rewards and exchange or return an item, you lose those rewards forever! The employee was very nice about it, and I understood it was out of her control but offered a customer support # to call. I thought it was important to let them know that the rules around their rewards program doesn't make sense when someone accumulates points from prior purchases only to be taken away for good if you return or exchange item(s). I spoke to a lady named Venus at customer support who offered me a 20% discount instead that I would need to use within the next 3 weeks or it would expire? Not even close to my $20 rewards, but I did ask her to pass on my customer dissatisfaction regarding their rewards program to management as I felt it was a matter of principal. I also told Venus that I would not be going to make another purchase within the next 3 weeks as I live out of town, and she hung up on me? Lol. Sally, you are a big chain and should really care more about keeping your customers satisfied. Reinstating someone's reward points that they used for payment when they make a return or exchange would be a good move on your part.

I worked for Sally's in Lynchburg and the job was great. I loved what I was doing and loved talking to the customers I worked with but the management is terrible. The assistant manager belittled me and other in employees all the time even raised her voice at me in front of other stuff and customers. Both the managers are extremely lazy and sit in the back while one associate took care of the whole store and the store manager didn't care what he assistant did and push employees from calling there boss because there were no cameras to prove anything and since the assistant had been there longer no one else would believe the employees since we were all new staff. They took our hours till it wasn't live able and than got mad people weren't available for when they wanted to leave early they didn't help with anything and would get rude when you had a question or need help with the store, and as soon as they couldn't take credit for other people's work they kept the people they just didn't like off the registers so that we would do worse and make them look better. They had their boyfriends in and out any day they worked but as soon as an associates boyfriend came to visit her while she was there off they made it a "rule" that no one could come see you there but continued to have their boyfriends come, and would make inappropriate comments about staffs relationships and how they wanted the people we were with. The management was so terrible I refuse to go back and the shop there even tho I had been going there since I was a kid.

Embarrassing

I have ordered Keratin Shampoo 4 for 20$ and they send me one for 9.89$, but at least on the order conformation it says 4 of them, even though tey send just one. Also I ordered Deep Conditioning Mask Plus 4 for 20$, but that one showed only 1 for 12,59$. I have told customer service that they messed that up, and she said that I did not make it four times and that is a lie! So they sold me one shampoo and one conditioner for 38,18$. Conn-artists, that is what the customer service is.

I ordered online a bundle that came 50% incomplete. The dye, the bowl and brush came, but not the developer (which is incompatible with the dye, btw, and the booster were not included). They credited back the items but I still ended up paying 75% of the total price. I tried returning the whole thing, but I had to go to the store to do so. There, the "manager", ERICA, was very obtrusive and uncooperative, gave 101 excuses why she couldn't refund me. "That's not the right receipt" "The account is in your wife's name" "The bundle is incompatible so it must be my mistake" etc. I was very patient and let her do her song and dance. I finally "convinced" her to give me store credit. Never ordering online again! Never going to that store again!

Racist associate and store

I walked into my sally beauty store#2735 and an African American associate was at the counter. She saw me walk in and didn't acknowledge me. I walked around looking for facial bleach for 10 minutes, she still did not ask me if I needed help. A black women walked in and was helped right away. This store had little to none for fine hair. Everything is for African hair, I felt stereotyped due that I am White American. Sally beauty will never get me to shop here again. Toxic environment. 3/10/22 transaction #*******@ 3:09 pm.

"Sherlyn W" sucks

I've shopped at Sally's multiple times in the past with few issues, but I recently tried Sally's "Free 2 Hour Delivery", and they had a system mixup that somehow cancelled my order- some issue with Uber or something. Anyway, I used Sally's chat service and called into their hotline MULTIPLE TIMES to try and get this resolved, and almost everyone was SO incredibly rude. They wanted me to wait three days for a hold on my account to release -- instead of just driving to pick up my item. It was nonsensical and idiotic. "Sherlyn W" literally disconnected our chat when I requested to speak with a supervisor about getting the item I ordered for same day delivery... on the same day. Sally's customer service is TERRIBLE, and this Sherlyn W person is THE ABSOLUTE WORST.

Is it me or is it that every single Sally's beauty have at least one (if not all) rudest customer service. Every time I visit one around me it's never a pleasant experience. Let's not forget associates… that if it wasn't for US CUSTOMERS YOU WOULD NOT HAVE A JOB. Your job as a CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE is to perform customer service. Meaning if a customer comes in.? You greet them "hi how are you? Is there anything I can help you with today" Checking out " do you have an account with us? Would you like to create one?" It's that simple. I was not greeted upon enter, I was not asked if I needed help, I was not asked if I had an account. My item were tossed more like thrown into the Sally's paper bag like I didn't matter (that's how they made me feel) If you are not about people I think you are in the wrong profession. Should really consider retraining associate about customer service. Overall, very disappointing. Not professional at all.

Sally in Miramichi has got to be the worst! The manager and most of the staff are so rude and show zero customer service. There is only one lady that I will ever purchase from there, if I decide to go back. I buy a lot from there and bring a lot of people in there. I'd rather drive two hours to go the Moncton store because of how ignorant they are there. The manager especially. They're not hair stylists, they have no clue what they are saying most of the time. I took a stylist in and they were so insulting to them. They ended up walking away and chatting quietly in the back room, we all know what and who they were talking about too! I wish I could video the service I get in there! It didn't happen just once either, it happens EVERY time I go there. It could be jealousy, I'm not sure, but no matter what, there is no excuse for poor customer service! Especially management!

Best Service Ever

I believe that this was the best service I have ever received, and believe me, I am very picky about EVERYTHING. This is only because I am a customer service specialists who specialize in these things, so the first thing I do when pull up is automatically look around the lot to make sure it is kept up and maintained, then I proceed to the front door where I wait to be recognized and I start timing them immediately, once I am acknowledged I walk around and look for organization and cleanliness, is the associates keeping the shelves stocked? Are they staying busy? How well do they communicate and observe me try to see if maybe I need help? Then I rate them, appearance, attitude, did they offer me a promo or anything of the sort. Well. Let me tell you, the manager was there and forgive me but I forgot the lovely ladies name, it has been so long, but anyways, the lot was clean and free of debris, walked in got greeted as soon as I stepped foot in, and even though she was busy stocking shelves, cleaning, and organizing, she still took the time to attentively help me and listen to all my petty questions. In the end, she offered me a discount card and a membership for free as well as a five-dollar credit for the next visit. She was wonderful and that was the very best service I think I have ever had.

I was floored to learn that this same item that is $10.99@ Sally's instore is $19.79 online. Yeah I bet I pay that. Never ever. I urge anyone and everyone to steer clear of Sallybeauty.com.
