I explained to clerk I wanted a clippers with guards to cut my own hair. She helped me pick it out and rang it up. I got home and found out it didn't have guards. I took it back and found out they have a no return policy. This wasn't explained to me in advance and although it is clearly stated on the receipt you don't get a copy of that until AFTER you buy the darn thing! Anyhow, I'm out $100 and I'll be happy to shop anywhere else in the future. PS 1star because zero isn't an option…

Customer support is horrible

I messaged the customer support at sallys because my girlfriends hairdryer which she loves by the way just shot sparks out of the outlet and about shocked the living $#*! out of her. Also could have caused a fire. I reached out to them and they sent me a copy of my transaction for the first one expecting me to buy a new one. The hair dryer was over 150 dollars plus I had the protection plan. No plan to help me I've written them two more times and they litterally won't even respond to me. Don't know what I can do anymore but hope nobody else has to experience this with this company which I thought great things about up till this point.

The stainless 6mm Fireball crystal earrings that I like keeps falling apart. They are my favorite so I keep buying them. And I finally am fed up and would like some assistance with this product all I get is I am sorry but we can't help you because they are earrings. On the back of the receipt it says, if your purchase doesn't give you the beautiful results you'd hope for bring it back and we'll happily help you find a better solution or refund your money. I don't want a refund, I just wanted to be acknowledged that this a problem and have the items replaced but I get I'm sorry there's nothing we can do for you. That is terrible customer care!

Beware 2 Hour Shipping

Wow. Sally Beauty offers a two hour shipping option on their website. You can go all the way through the payment and order process, all while they give you the impressions that you will get what you're paying for. However, once you've ALREADY ORDERED they inform you that if you place your order after 4 pm, it actually won't arrive until tomorrow. Not only that, but it wont arrive until tomorrow by 4PM. When I discovered this I immediately tried to cancel my order, since it would be quicker and cheaper for me to just do in store pickup tomorrow morning. However, they do not allow you to change your order, even when it is STILL IN THE PROCESSING PHASE. The scammed me out of 8 dollars and I'm not even getting the service that I wanted. I would absolutely not recommend this website to anybody, the way that they treat their customers is horrible.

Ridiculous

I need a payment on my account at the 1st of June and the next day. They sent an email saying I owe them another payment because my payment was due at the Month. I called and Talk to a customer service rep they couldn't help me that was on hold for 20 minutes and they disconnected me perit. Then I call back and Talk to a supervisor and she said that she would take my comment into consideration. But she couldn't change it because even though I had made a payment on the 2nd of June and my bill was due on the 27th of June I still owe them another payment.I asked her how that was possible since I made a payment that was required in June and she said that that's just the way my billing statement did. And I need to go look at it and she'll take you know she appreciated my feedback and she hung up on me.NEVER USE THIS CARD ITS A SCAM. And if you make a payment to early they want you to make another payment after the statement that they mail you come out even though you've already made a. Payment for them up period and. I can't understand anything. They were saying because they acted like they were in India or Pakistan or somewhere. And she was laughing at me telling me oh my God you don't understand anything that I'm saying I'm speaking English so ridiculous and I was. Mortified plus I lost my temper. I'm canceling this card and will never use it again. I don't care if they touch me in overdraft. These people are ridiculous they have no respect for you and they act stupid

Sally beauty is just going downhill super fast I used to shop there but now it's all their stuff is crap. Just returned two bottles of nail glue just for simple charms how is the nail glue supposed to hold on a false nail if it can't even hold on to a charm on your nail. How is it I'm heading over to Walmart to find a small beauty item and that Sally could not even figure it out the buyers for sale I need to get it together nail charms are a huge thing nowadays you guys are missing out on tons of money.

Missing products

I ordered online and received two damaged products and was charged for a missing item. I now have to wait 3-5 days for a refund so I can go buy the product at the store which I was trying to avoid because Sally employees close the store whenever they want which is the reason I did not go to the store to buy in the first place!

I bought a Wahl Maxcoat trimmer for my pet from another store since Sally's didn't sell what I wanted. I went to Sally's to get a guard for the trimmer. This is my first experience with cosmetology/barbering supplies. I expected to get some professional help. I was given a guard for the trimmer made by the same manufacturer. Then I was told to make sure it was what I wanted since it was not refundable. I got the item home and found out that it would not fit the blade assembly. I discovered I actually needed a guard for a competition blade. I called to see about exchanging for the correct part or simply getting a refund. I was told there are no refunds and I would have to talk to customer service. I will do that tomorrow. I'm not expecting this is going to turn out well. When you go to a store you expect to get professional advice on what you need. I was sold something that clearly does not work for the trimmer that I have purchased. I am certain Iwill not be back to the store again. I highly advise you to do the same and stay away from these incompetent novice people.

Credit card FRAUD!

WARNING! NEVER use their credit card. Use a different credit card or pay in cash. Thousands have been scammed including myself. They say you haven't made a payment even when you have. Had to get the state of Michigan Attorney General involved. Then they ( SALLY BEAUTY CREDIT CARD) tried tacking on a whole bunch of late charges and interest even when I have proof of payment. After a year of fighting with them. And numerous hours on the phone trying to get it resolved to no avail. Attorney general got it straightened out for me and went after them. I had all the proof I needed that I made my payments way before they were even due. Luckily I keep copies of my receipts. Not once but three times opening one of their credit cards this happened to me.

Well... I'm blown away. It's 2023 and last I checked you could return almost any product, but not Sally's product. I bought clippers and when I opened them I quickly realized that they were the wrong size. Tried to ask for a refund and they said no cause the box was opened. So now I have to eat the cost ($170). What company doesn't do returns? Brutal.

Bad customer service

I purchase cordless clippers that are $50 more expensive than clippers with a cord I return the next day with the wrong clippers they gave me yet they charged me for the expensive clippers and looked at me like I was a thief trying to pull one over on them. I had to get mad blood pressure went up before they would even do anything they found out the girl charged me too much money for the wrong clippers. They're known for giving the wrong items out to their customers. I'm never going back and I'm going to tell all my customers about this place and never to go there hire people that are more educated if you want your business to run well.

Way too expensive

I work at a salon and do a lot of the ordering for supplies. Sally's always seems to be more expensive than many of the online stores.some products are twice as much for same size etc. Maybe your paying for convenience but as a small business, price is important too!

Ok so I purchased a travel hair dryer from the store this past holiday season, went home tried the dryer a few minutes of using the little dryer it became to hot to hold in my hands. I returned the dryer with no issues. I decided to use my return money and purchase than a gift for my daughter which I knew I had to purchase something for Christmas anyway. I went ahead and purchased a set of electric curlers. On the reciept it was noted that I made a return. Then I find out through another family member that my daughter hates electric curlers. I take the product back to the store for at least some kind of credit. The store tells me they can not take the curlers back because I had already made a return previously. How I wish the store clerk had told me I could not return these curlers for any kind of refund. Now I am stuck with curlers no one has use for in my house. Bottom line, I will never buy any hair tools from Sallys again. I will buy other products like hair colors or nail colors and such, because I do like their products but that's it, its too scary. Just wanted to share this, if it's even made public to maybe save someone else time, money and frustration. Thank you.

I attempted to place an order on Sally beauty website to have the goods shipped to my place of business. The next day my order was cancelled with no explanation. I emailed Sally and they advised my order was canceled because they do not ship to freight forwarder businesses. Fine... I initially decided to have my order shipped to my place of business due to theft of packages from my home...I have worked with many businesses and have never had someone cancel my order because of this reason. In any case I placed another order to be shipped to my home after they canceled my initial order to no avail. My order has been flagged and cannot be fulfilled because Sally beauty assumes that I am reselling their goods simply because I initially attempted to ship the product to my business instead of my home. I have an order history with Sally from placing prior orders and the products are always the same. I ordered like 12 things (because of the sale)

I am disgusted on how the are handling this. After many attempts to reach them via email and phone call, I finally got a call from a representative and they reiterated the same thing "I'm sorry we do not ship to freight forwarder" with no resolve... I had to explain to them my situation and ask them how they are going to resolve this as I am a legitimate consumer. They expected me to say ok no problem? (Umm I want my order ma'am, how can I get it?) They assume just because I wanted to ship to my place of business that I am reselling their products and don't even want to help me get my order.

If they do not resolve this I will never give them another dime again.

I will revert back with an update!.

Britney at this location is a racist. She also doesnt greet visitors. She likes to insult customers and tell them their hair looks like $#*!. Her opinion is ultimately the only one that matters. Also if you dont agree with her she will get physically violent with you. BRITNEY sucks and will get fired. I reported her to not only the manager but the regional manager. I am about to escalate my complaint to the USA regional manager. This review is specific for the store on highway K in Ofallon MO.

Tia was AMAZING

I went to the addison location on belt line and Tia was so incredibly helpful and nice! She told me all the deals and helped me pick out specific products. She also was able to help every other customer in the store without taking too much time with anyone. Very knowledgeable and very kind. GIVE THAT GIRL A RAISE!
