WORST online retail experience EVER!

WORST online retail experience of my life! This company is a sham! I ordered two dresses (almost $600 each) for an upcoming formal wedding. They arrived very quickly on 1/31/26. I tried them both on and neither worked for my body type. I then IMMEDIATELY returned both dresses and the company acknowledged receipt of both dresses on 2/5/26. I waited roughly two weeks to send them an email about my refund. I got the runaround for over ONE MONTH. Finally, I called Chase to dispute the charge as I had CONFIRMATION the dresses were returned AND accepted. S&B then came back and tried to tell me the dresses had a stain and were damaged. A total LIE. DO NOT BUY A DRESS FROM this company. Additionally, they are on Rue La La and in Marshalls! So NO NEED to buy direct from them and pay full price PLUS both of those retailers will stand behind their return policy!

Frustrating refund (hopefully) process
September 7, 2025

Purchase dress and returned it. Company received it Aug 14. Using their chat line, comoany could not identify my transaction by order number, shipping address, or email address it was ordered with. Finally copied and pasted the notice of return receipt. They are checking into it but need a total of 30 days to issues a refund. $687 purchase.

I bought a dress and shawl from S&B to the tune of $1300. They have no warning or notice in the package that they have a 14 day return policy. I had purchased and returned S&B dresses before to Saks and Neiman. I was a week outside the 14 days (never imagining that for MOB dresses they'd have a 14 day return policy) and they refused to take it back. "We hope this hasn't caused you too much of an inconvenience." Ah, yeah, you did.

The sizing chart is completely off! The first exchange went well…then when it didn't fit a second time, i asked to exchange for a different dress and because i was over the 14 day return policy…they said NO!
( what kind of company does a 14 day return policy when you are spending a fortune trying to find a special dress for a special occasion-like your son's wedding!) They have AI responding for customer service now! They are definitely only about their bottom line and definitely do not care if their customers are happy! I would NEVER RECOMMEND Sachi and Babi to anyone!

I received a gown tried it on. It was to big so I
Packed it up and returned. 35 days later received email stating returned dress was damaged no refund and they already shipped dress back to me. A couple of days later I received dress. Shocked to say the least. This dress was filthy on the sash where they showed me two marks in two photos that were attached to the original email. They didn't even mention it was filthy and there was other marks as well. This was absolutely not the dress I returned. If I had received this dress in this condition I would have been on the phone immediately. After this incident I have tried customer service multiple times. They will not speak to you so I have sent multiple emails and asked for a phone call as well. After calling cc company and filing complaint with BBB I wrote a few negative reviews. I was shocked to see many complaints exactly like mine. This company is pulling a scam on customers. They are stating these dresses are damaged and not refunding customers payments. They did not contact once until they had already shipped my dress back and sent the email. Then they also included their return policy. Please read this absurd policy. If you must by their dresses go to dept store which have better return policies. If they do not return my money I will be seeking legal avenues. I think there may even be a class action possible. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Many better and reputable manufacturers out there. THIS COMPANY IS SCAMMING CUSTOMERS! Save yourself the aggrevation!

Bought a $495 dress for $371.25 using their current discount code. Exchanged the dress for a smaller size. Eleven days after the company received the larger dress I was notified that my return was rejected due to one of the embellishments being broken (which it definitely was not when I returned it) and a supposed stain inside the dress. The dress was returned to me in a wrinkled mess and my credit card was charged the full price -$495. Called customer service and received no help from rep. Do not buy directly from Sacchin & Babi. Beautiful clothes but it is an unethical and unprofessional business.

I purchased a dress directly from them and the same dress, different size from Neiman Marcus. The dress from Neiman arrived first and fit. Therefore when the Sachin dress arrived I simply returned it. The dress was then returned (in a damaged box) stating I had damaged the zipper. In reading other reviews this is common practice with them. Getting a return is like pulling teeth. If you want one of their dresses buy from a reputable retailer, NOT directly from Sachin and Baabi

I ordered a mother-of-the-bride gown and received the dress with large numbers written in blue marker on the back of the dress. It was on sale, so the sale was deemed final. I immediately (dress was still in the bag!) reached out through Instagram DM, S&B customer service chat, and email. I included pictures of the writing and the receipt in all correspondence. Finally, they agreed to take the dress back a provide a full refund. I requested and was granted a return shipping label; however, after almost seven weeks and multiple prompts, my money was refunded to my credit card minus $20 for the return of the damaged product! S&B didn't even offer anything close to an apology.

The dresses are beautiful. The customer service is the worst I have seen in years. Buy your Sachin and Babi dress from a reputable retailer who will not make you jump through hoops to be refunded.

Completely disreputable company. I am a physician and therefore a merchant myself. You can issue a refund immediately though it may take a day to show up in the patient's account due to credit card company processing. I returned a dress (received in the mail, ugly and matronly looking, not at all as appeared in photo). I returned it immediately in original packaging with all tags. I received an email two weeks ago that they received the merchandise, still no refund. I placed a dispute with my credit card company. I returned a Halston dress and they received the merchandise yesterday, refund is in my account today. This company is a shady operation and I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing anything from them. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MERCHANDISE FROM THIS COMPANY!

SHADY BUSINESS...

I ordered dresses from 6 different vendors in search of the perfect mother-of-the-bride gown. The ones I got from Sachin & Babi did not work for me. I returned it within 2 days of receipt, and they acknowledged receiving the returned merchandise a couple days later. That was over a month ago and I still haven't received the $1200 refund I am owed. All the other stores processed my returns within a couple days. This is a HIGHLY DISREPUTABLE OPERATION. STAY AWAY.

P.s. I submitted a review on the S&B website and--what a surprise--they didn't post it.

This company is impossible! Do not ever buy a thing from them if you plan to return. They sent me back a dirty dress and claimed that I sent it back that way. I did not and they cannot provide proof that it arrived damaged. It looked like someone dragged it across a factory floor and then claimed I did it. They will not provide a refund but I disputed it with my credit card company. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau due to their ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR! RUN!

DO NOT SPEND A DIME OF YOUR MONEY at this store - you will not be able to return anything. This is actually the first review I have ever written. I could not be more upset.
Their return policy is a complete scam -- I experienced exactly what another person did on this site. I ordered two sizes. I returned the larger size exactly how it was sent to me - tags, wrapped in plastic, nicely folded in the box and actually kept and wore the smaller size to a recent wedding. I followed their guidelines exactly regarding timing and have all the documentation to prove it. They sent the larger size back to me - thrown in a box, completely wrinkled up and claimed they found a stain and they would not be issuing the refund. The "stain" is where the zipper overlaps a seam so it is darker fabric. They refused to give me a refund, refused to let me talk to anyone and actually wrote "they do not have a customer service department" and I lost out on $500. I cannot believe they can practice business like this. I will be going to the BBB. This company should not be in business.

Their gowns are gorgeous and well made. The issue is their customer service and refund process. I bought five gowns to try on and needed to return $3290 worth of merchandise. I shipped them back the day after receiving and they confirmed receipt three days after. It still took over 30 days to get my refund. There is no way to speak to customer service. I only received the refund by threatening to call the NY Attorney General's office and contacting my credit card company to dispute the charge.

I think the dresses are gorgeous and very well made, but unfortunately I had to return mine, as it wasn't my style once I tried it on. Today is May 30 and I was told on March 30 that they received the dress I returned. That was after several attempts to communicate with their customer service department. I have yet to receive my credit and have had to get my bank involved. Several attempts to reach out have utterly been ignored.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. The only way they can 'sell' garments is by refusing to accept returns. I returned a dress that I did not even try on and was literally out of the package for five minutes. Security tag and all original sales tags intact. After my return had arrived, they sent a package back to me with ZERO communication. Only after I reached out to customer service multiple times did they respond that they couldn't accept the return because it had stains - and sent pictures of a dress with a smudge with no evidence that this was even the dress I had returned to them.

Terrible return policy

I returned the dress immediately after trying it on in perfect condition. Was told by customer service I would have to wait 30 days for them to process my return and another 5 days for funds to be issued. 35 days later, I got my nearly $600 back. What a scam!
