I gave an extremely poor review earlier this week for this site. The next day I received a phone call from Ruelala about my complaint. This company went over and above what they needed to do to resolve the situation I was in. My daughter not only received her gown for the ball this weekend they also gave her some beautiful earrings to go with it. There are two very special guardian angels I want to thank so much! Ordered two items more than a month ago that still have not shipped. Reached out to their customer service and was told that they were having issues with a new system. They had evidence of my order, but couldn't tell me anything about when they'd be shipping it. When told I wanted to cancel the order, they told me it was too late... and that I'd have to wait for it to arrive and then request a refund. The bottom line is that I paid for these items the first week of April, and it's mid May now and nada, and according to them, I can't get my money back.

The rep told me to 'make up' for this, he was going to extend my free shipping another month. As if I'm going to order something else from them if they can't either give me the item or the money back...

You know what the definition of a good shopping experience is? It *isn't* one where you have to waste a bunch of time trying to get a company to make things right. It especially isn't when you waste that time and still have nothing to show for it.

I think I'm done with RueLaLa. At first I was very excited about the items/prices they offer but after several returns (because the item took so long to ship that I missed being able to wear it for the intended event, or just didn't fit properly) I began to realize I was spending a lot of money paying their $10 shipping and $10 return that I could be using to purchase merchandise at my local Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, etc. when they are having a sale. I know I could save on the return shipping if I choose to opt for a "store" credit but then that money is tied up for who knows how long. Just isn't worth it.

I'm obsessed with Rue La La. I've ordered shoes, lingerie, and sunglasses from them and the only thing stopping me from ordering more is my not-bottomless wallet. Their prices are awesome and their customer service is so personal and helpful. I'm not usually one to gush about a website, but i just have to with Rue.

Nightmarish experience would be putting it mildly. I ordered a bag and paid by Paypal. Changed my mind and returned the package unopened. That was three weeks ago. I have been trying to get my money back ever since with no luck.

I complained on another website and was contacted by a "corporate concierege" who was very nice but it appears that her job is to say, "I'm sorry" and then nothing happens. She told me over a week ago that I would have my refund "in a few days" but here we are ten days later and nothing. Then I was told they tried to refund though Paypal but it didn't go through. Paypal denies. Never had that problem in the 11 years my Paypal account has been open. So, here I sit with no merchandise, no refund. This was my first transaction with this horribly run company and it will be my last, that goes without saying.

I just got off the phone with customer service (she was very nice) to find out that the headboard and FRAME that I ordered online meant that the frame was the two legs that hold up the headboard, not a bedframe. YIKES. Since this was a no return item I now have an expensive headboard but no matching frame for it. And btw, it took 4 emails to finally even get attention from them.

After trying out other flash sale sites, I'll continue to rely on Rue. Yes, the shipping cost is inflated but everything I have ordered from this site has been really well made (which is more then I can say about other sites). I very carefully pick and choose what I buy, so I've never needed to return something and always check to see if I can find items cheaper elsewhere, but if you want to know you're getting a well-made product, I'd definitely pick Rue La La.

I have also ordered MANY things from this site. My stuff has always arrived professionally wrapped and in perfect condition. They have great price reductions (although i think gilt.com has better discounts. All in all this is my second choice site. Wish they had more baby stuff!

I ordered a JPK lovesac tote bag, when it arrived it was damaged and had trash inside of it! The handle was broken and inside there were used bobby pins and gum/candy wrappers! They have refunded my money and shipping, but I'm hesistant to order from them again if I'm to expect used items, YUCK

I have made 4 purchases from Ruelala and have had fast shipping, correct orders and find the website to be credible. I don't like paying for the shipping, but they lump your whole order into one. Once you pay shipping for one item, it will cover the rest of the items that you buy that day.

I've been a member of ruelala since 2008. I love their final sales (they're one of the few places that widely carry DVF) and have had good experiences with their customer service. During a facebook final sale (the page could only be reached through their fbook page), there were technical glitches in their site. Their customer service reps were attentive and prompt.
Overall, I highly recommend this site, especially compared to others (e.g. Ideeli, who canceled an order even though I never wanted it canceled).

Folks, save yourself some hard-earned cash and plenty of aggravation. If the size is not as represented on their site, (has happened to me twice) you are stuck with the items, many of which are deemed "non-returnable" for the convenience of Rue La La. Prices are nowhere near as "discount" as they would like you to think. I saw an item for $99 on Rue La La and found the identical item at a discounter in my neighborhood for $69 on the SAME DAY! Just lost $$ today because item I ordered did not conform to size represented on the site, was much bigger, and they refuse to accept a return, even for a merchandise credit. A bad experience all around, and I will definitely never purchase from them again. Totally a rip off and con game. They pretend you are getting a great deal. NOT AT ALL!

I'm done with Rue La La! I have ordered from them about 15 times over the past 2 years. They have nice things, but too often they have sent me the WRONG ITEM! Of course they apologize profusely... but they cannot ever get you the right item after that because it is sold out! This is the final straw for me; I ordered a $400 chair and paid extra $20 for shippingl They sent the wrong bloody chair. Packing up the Giant box, wait for pick up, wait for refund... hassle... hassle... hassle... and now I can't even get the chair I want! DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME.
(This has happened to me at least three times... yet they always seem shocked that it happened... well I'm not anymore after reading others' reviews!)

The website is okay. However for some purchases the time before the item even ships out is 2 weeks. Then when the item is shipped they charge you the flat rate of $9.95 which is the basic service and take at least 3 days to get to you.

If you have to return something, you might as well expect to not get your money back. It has been 21 days so far emailing them about the refund I am suppose to get. When I have emailed I am always told I will get the money in 5 business days. After that time period I ask again and I was told 7-9 business days. So every time you ask where the refund is they extend the time you get the money another business week. I will never shop here again as this is ridiculous and horrible customer service.

I've only ordered one item from here and they sent me the wrong style, but issued me a credit and let me keep the item. Customer service is timely and friendly. They have a certain aesthetic that doesn't appeal to me very often and I don't like that you can't reserve items for a time limit (unlike some other sample sales sites). You have to buy it fast or it's usually gone and unlike other sites that give you a time limit to cancel, they say they ship fast (and they do!) so you don't really have the time window to cancel something.

Buyer beware if you are going to purchase a travel package from Ruelala. I recently purchased one and was given a certificate # and told to call the resort directly to make my reservation. I was not able to get the resort to accommodate us for the dates that the certificate was good for. I called into the customer service line and asked for a refund. They guy who helped me was very nice but said he needed to get back to me with options on how to handle it. I bought 3 of these certificates for myself and 3 friends at $750 each. They told me they would only refund me 1 and that I needed to come up with alternate dates! It has been a battle back and forth with Ruelala and their "experience team" (which is their form of expedited customer service). We get a different story every day from we'll see if we can refund you, to lets try and come up with alternate dates but that we will have to pay an additional fee, to sorry, only 1 refund. It has been extremely frustrating experience. Their customer service, or experience team is a joke! They have no idea what customer service is. Go shop at Hautelook instead!

Great experience so far - wonderful local deals (they are a bit limited in the locations they offer for their local deals, but should get better with time), good customer service, and credit awarded from invites as expected. Haven't had any problems using the local deals I have purchased on Ruelala and they pick fabulous restaurants, Inns, etc. Also know a local business owner that participated with them and had a fabulous experience. Keep up the good work!

I ordered from the top 3 sample sites a couple days before Christmas (Rue La La, Ideeli, and HauteLook). Rue La La impressed me the most. My packaged arrived Christmas Eve, and the dress was as described. I WILL shop here again, and have told family and friends to join as well.

Ideeli came in second. My packaged arrived a week later. Not to shabby. The dress was as described. However I ordered a red watch and they sent me a pink one. With a "credit only" policy, I will not shop with them again. How can I get credit only for THEIR MISTAKE?!

HuateLook is in dead last as my package hasnt even shipped yet! Even if I like my items when they arrive I won't recommend them either. I have purchased Ebay items from India and Thailand that literally have come faster. To be state-side and take this long is INEXCUSABLE!

I purchased an Ebel watch from RueLaLa for $1099. 00. They advertised the watch as being backed by the manufacturer's warranty. The watch came with a warranty card from Ebel. The watch stopped working after 3 weeks, and I took it to an Ebel dealer who sent it to Ebel to be repaired along with my receipt and the warranty card. Ebel would not service the watch because they said that RueLaLa and the company that provided the watch to them (Alliance Time) was not authorized to sell the watch. I spoke with numerous supervisors (Kyle, Jane, and Brittany) who assured me that they were authorized to sell the watch. Kyle even told me that the watch would be repaired by Ebel if I sent it back to RueLaLa for service. I mailed it in, and it was repaired by a third party service center in NYC... NOT Ebel. I requested that RueLaLa either work it out to have the watch serviced by Ebel or let me return it since the product was NOT as advertised. Bottom line after 7 weeks of phone tag. Ebel won't service the watch and RueLaLa won't return it. I have closed my account with RueLaLa which I have used regularly over the past 2 years. I do not wish to do business with them as I believe that they falsely advertise merchandise that they are not auhtorized to sell. I would not be upset if I had knowingly purchased something without a warranty, but when you buy something with a "full manufacturer's warranty", it should be covered by the manufacturer.
