I going to copy and paste what I wrote on a different review site:

I am extremely disappointed in rue21. A pair of jeans measured at least 3 inches past the soles of my feet, a pair of shorts were unflattering and too big, and a speaker was non-functioning. All of these were part of my first (and only) purchase. Customer service claims they issued a refund on December 19, I have not seen the money in my account. It is January 31. I paid 15 dollars for return shipping, which was honestly a HUGE mistake, considering the lack of merchandise and lack of money I now have. They also claim they have only received 2 items. I packaged all 3 items in the same airtight box with miles of mailing tape all around it. Considering I included the packing slip inside the box, written on the slip was each item listed under the "return" section. You would think they would see all 3 items. It's a small number. I didn't return 10 or 20 items, that would have been an understandable mishap. I am so frustrated and discouraged by all of this, I can only hope that other poor, unfortunate souls don't fall into this hellish nightmare. If any updates do happen, I'll be sure to include them at a later date. As of right now, I am trying to get my money back. (1/30/17)

Worst online customer service of any retail store I've ever encountered. Got an email that my order had shipped, 2 days later another email that said half my order was out of stock, full charge to my credit card, in the meantime I tried using the tracking number for the package they stated had shipped 5 days later UPS site still says "Label has been created, we'll let you know when the package has reached our facility"
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

I went to the Rue 21 store located in Bartow FL and was left so disappointed when I attempted to shop at this dishuffled store. I had several items that I selected from their clearance racks that after ringing up at the register turned out not to be on any sale. After letting the manager know so many things are out of place, he still didn't want to do anything to rectify their error, so I will definitely not be a returning shopper.

I ordered my daughter a gift card on Nov. 19th its now New Years Eve and i sent emails multiple times a week then I started calling and was told by customer service that they don't handle gift cards its done by a 3rd party and i needed to look that number up on the website. But surprise! The only number was the customer service number that i had just called. I got sick of all this because they stole my money so I turned them into the better business bureau. Im done with this company. I will not be giving them anymore of my money

Ordered online from rue 21 because my sister loves the place, order for almost $70.00 USD and they cancelled the order without informing me. Contacted them via e-mail as i lost money converting CAD to USD for this order. They said they could do nothing and then offered me a 15% off coupon, thought that might salvage the situation really does not. So i decided to place an order now using the coupon. Fake coupon it says already added to your cart when it has not. Worst customer service ever and they don't even care even after informing them the coupon does not work. My suggestion don't order from them, they don't care and they lie!

I placed an order on December 9th because they were having a great deal not until today did I read my email saying it was all cancelled when I call to ask them about it all they can say is there not sure why what happen but I couldn't get the items at that cost anymore and when I told him that this wasn't my fault it was theirs what happened she just kept saying I'm sorry I'm sorry I can't help you I will never buy anything from them again what a scam! Thanks for messing up my daughter's Christmas false advertisement from Rue 21 never again!

I placed an order on December 9th because they were advertising an amazing sale. The order remained in processing status until today when I received an email saying the ENTIRE order had been canceled. When I called customer service they told me at the exact moment my order was going to be put together they discovered ALL of the items I ordered were out of stock. He proceeds to tell me that it's in Stock now, but they can't possibly fulfill an order that has already been canceled. And he told me I can repurchase the items, but not at the sale price. I finally hung up out of frustration and proceeded to contact corporate through email. I received the same crappy customer service through the magic of email. Not once did anyone sound apologetic and they didn't offer any solutions as to how to resolve the issue. Horrible company and I DO NOT recommend shopping online or in any of their stores.
