These pieces are exactly the ones that i have been looking for. After long considering on many other sets, neither of them realy satisfied me, this set came along. I suddenly knew, this is the one. The antiqued boxwood is so nice and the Dubrovnik pieces have this special look. Overall this set is, in my opinion, the most successful copy of the 1950's Dubrovnik in shape and elegance ( particularly the knight, king and queen). Although the original set was unweighted, this set is heavy weighted, like modern tournament set in this range have to. Delivery lasts a week to ten 10 days to germany, with al little delay due to custom requirement. I bought it with an offer by 20 % off, thank you royalchessmall. But the customs in germany made it the origanal price for me. I am very happy to have these pieces, super quality, best craftmanship and well packed and arrived. 5 stars. I have sent two emails with no response, so I will share this here.

I have received my order yesterday afternoon and have opened it finding many beautiful pieces in the chess set I purchased.

However, upon unwrapping all the pieces there were three pieces found broken.

The dark king whose head and crown have a large chip and crack and were not attached:

A dark knight whose mane has a section missing:

And a dark bishop which has an entire loop gone:

I accept I ordered a "slightly imperfect" chess set and many other pieces have imperfections and blemishes.

However these three are broken.

They need to be replaced.

How do we proceed?

I would hope to continue doing business with you in the future provided I receive a replacement dark king, dark bishop, and dark knight for the 4.5" Carvers' Art Luxury Chess Pieces Only Set - Triple Weighted Bud Rosewood.

The Leuchars Cook Set is an excellent reproduction of the historical design, one of the first of the Staunton Pattern chess pieces. The pieces are exceptionally reproduced in reference to the Ivory versions. The chess pieces are excellently weighted and the lacquer on the chess pieces is very smooth and a delight to hold and handle. This is my 15th purchase from the manufacturer and will be coming back to them for more.

Took them almost 1 week to ship out the product citing a delay due to missing pieces. I needed the chess pieces for my niece's birthday but missed it. Also they ship out from India so it needs to be taken into account. The pieces were exceptionally crafted though. The website should mention the possible delay a customer may experience to avoid such instances.
