They don't train their employees so that you are misinformed and pay triple.
My daughter's phone was stolen and they didn't offer to send me a Sim card to keep her plan and phone number until a year later. After I've paid $750 extra on a phone that doesn't exist. Wasted time and money. Makes me sick hat they admitted they were wrong and didn't do anything to correct it. Real sad way to run a business

Biggest crooks
April 18, 2023

Had internet with rogers thru my condo. Condo switched to bell I returned the modem but do to covid it was no touch policy and vas not given an invoice a year later they put me in to collections for not paying I was forced to pay the whole amount as they said that they had no way of contacting me. When I asked if they knew where the IP address was going to they said yes and it wasn't up to them to reach out to me. Today I got a phone call again that I'm in collections again because they can not find the modem. Fricking crooks do not deal with them... even bell is better then Roger's. Worst customer service and company as a whole

I've been trying to assist my grandmother with her bill and services for a week now. Nothing complicated - just updated her to ignite and renegotiating her bill since she was being charge $150 for internet and local home phone.
It's been OVER 12 hours of my time spent on hold and dealing with incompetent agents who don't know what they're doing. It seems they aren't trained and/or don't have the tools or a proper system to perform their jobs. Once they establish they can't help me, I get transferred to a new dept where I wait on hold for 1 - 2 hours only to be disappointment by reliving the need to re-explain and inability to help all over again. There is 0 accountability.

After multiple afternoons on hold and getting bounced around by rogers agents, I was finally able to get her account updated. We scheduled tech to update her internet modem on Monday between 8 - 10AM. At 3:30PM, 2 technicians showed up at her place (there was no notice about being 5 hours late). I then get a phone call from my grandmother - she told me the tech was saying that they need to give her a new temporary phone number? I knew we were updating her home phone service to Canada-wide calling, but I was never told she would need a new number? I makes no sense. I asked the tech to call support and make sure she keeps her same ROGERS phone number.

That was the last I heard from my grandmother. Today is Wednesday. I've tried calling her and it says the phone number is not in service. I try messaging her and they don't deliver. I try FaceTiming her and no answer. So I sent my aunt over to her place to check up on her and she has been with NO services since Monday. No phone, no internet, no TV. I am currently on with Rogers waiting to speak to a manager - it's been 45 minutes so far and still waiting…. Apparently I'm in a queue.

You can't make these things up…. This has been the absolute worst customer exp I've ever had. There is a total lack of accountability and ownership at Rogers. No care for the customer. This is no way to treat a person!

I would STRONGLY recommend staying away from Rogers.

Rogers billed me with an early cancellation fee despite the fact that the Rogers representative who offered it to me a year ago assured me there was no contract and that I could opt out anytime. A very deceptive move to acquire sales. On top of it, Rogers billed me for the unreturned equipment even if Canadapost tracking showed it was already delivered. Customer service was poor and rude. Overall this company openly steals money from customers. A complete disregard of business ethics!

Rogers worst provider
February 12, 2023

Rogers has become the worst provider In Canada. Their Internet services are horrible and the customer service is even worse. My internet has been going on and off for months and I have a home monitoring service with them which is dependant on the internet for the cameras to work. My car got hit and the driver ran away. I checked my cameras to see who did it and if I can get a license plate number only to find they weren't recording due to the internet not working at the time. I was charged a $1000 deductible by my insurance company because I don't know who the driver was and didn't have any info. I called rogers and they sent out a tech and he said it's the area you're in. There is a lot of construction going on. He said he will look into it and left and never came back. I told him I'm travelling the next day and I need to be able to access my cameras and my security system. However, I wasn't able to sue to the internet not working. I called and they offered a refund of $6.99 for the 3 days it wasn't working when it has been like that for months and they know it. Every time I request to speak to a manager or the loyalty department, They put me on hold for almost two hours then the call drops 3 times. Every time it's almost a two hour on hold then the call drops. I never get a call back. No refund. Customer service agents are so rude and do t care when you tell them you're switching or that you're putting up a review. I switched to Bell and oh how I wish I had done that along time ago!

2 years ago we spent over 8 hours trying to fix the account. Went to the Roger's store 2 times with drivers license, spent 4 hours on the phone, 2 hours on chat, the said everything was finally updated. Called today and nothing matches, and of course after an hour we were told to go back to a store. So I said let's cancel, we can't even do that. There mistakes have cost us lots of time. Anyone going to pay our hourly rate? CSR can't do anything, even if you ask for a supervisor. Nope we have to go the store. They already took his driver license twice 2 years ago and it still doesn't match

So, I bought a premium package for a gift. After several problems activating an account, it turned out we were one of the lucky? Many who were rewarded with a browser 88 error. Thinking there was a way to fix this, I ordered new fire sticks, as a rural user, short of satellite, internet tv is all there is. But, in trying to make this work, giving Rogers the benefit of the doubt, it was more than 5 days when I contacted them and asked for my money back. Boohoo I was told. Not our problem I was told. This is a known problem to Rogers, and unless you subscribe, you won't know it affects you. Real nice Rogers! And then keep the money and laugh.

A series of errors, a futile attempt to resolve thru phone calls to Rogers " support". To be eventually offered: "either keep waiting over 1 hour.or you can cancel". One call to Bell matched then bettered Rogers offer! Tread carefully.

Currently, I have a 3 years contract with Rogers and now after more than a year I have no choice to cancel it and they want to charge me $400! For noting!
I never come back to Rogers any more. Service was not that great and they re not dealing well with loyalty customers.

Returned Phone but still got charged
December 23, 2022

In February 2022, i decided to upgrade my iphone with Rogers Communications. A New iphone was sent to me, but on arrival, i realized it was the wrong phone. I called and told them i would return it and if they could send me a new one. At this point i insisted i would drop the phone off at my local Rogers store. They said no, it had to be returned by Puraltor, which was against my wishes. I returned the phone with Puraltor with tracking information.
My new phone arrived a few days later and was happy.
Didn't think about the phone i returned because i thought they had received it as they had sent my new phone. 5 months later after returning from Europe, i realize my credit card had been charged for the non - returned handset for $1962.81.
After calling and complaning, they decided to investigate. Outcome after 4 months, the parcel arrived at Rogers empty. After talking to their management, even their so called president management, i was told in short i was a thief. Why would i carry on with their service and have a new phone by them if i have been told i am a thief. Someone in their warehouse or past employer TOOK MY PHONE! As soon as my contract is over, me and the family are changing to a more honest & reliable service provider.

Only got a star because I had to put at least 1 to write the review. The WORST customer service I've ever dealt with. Experienced a complete breach of confidentiality when Rogers wrongly ported my phone and some other lady started getting all my text messages on her phone in a completely different city. When the situation was sorted (after hours spent on a phone/in store) I asked them to compensate me for the amount of time/stress of getting it sorted as well as the fact that my confidentiality was breached and someone had access to all my conversations/could use it as a 2-way authenticator if they so pleased. First off I had to fight with someone for 2 hours to even get 1 month free. Then the representative had the nerve to say that he is frustrated with me asking to be compensated. Wrong in so many ways and will continue to fight with them regarding this until they compensate me properly.

No dial tone over a week
September 2, 2022

Totally disgusted with rogers... my elderly mother's home phone has been out for over a week. Absolutely no empathy from customer service. Tech support worker goes to her building with the buzzer not working just leaves. His notes reads unable to reach customer... how pathetic. My mom's doctors, care givers are unable to reach her or get into the building. Rogers you are the worst!

0/5. Service is horrible. Disconnects frequently and never get the value that is paid for. Anyone you connect to has no idea what they are doing even though they believe they are helping. They've sent multiple technicians to try and remedy any problems and there are always countless more after they leave. Avoid this company's internet services at all costs.
