Roblox is a kid-friendly, interactive, and socially climatic gaming enviorment. In itself, Roblox is not a game. It is essentially a 'web-genre' of games. You click on a specific game made by a specific company/individual and play to your heart's content. However, Roblox is also very sociable. Like video conferences/apps such as zoom, you meet strangers on the platform that are divided into servers. Each server has different players which you can befriend. In that way it's like meeting someone online, but there is no exacting pressure to become friends with these people.

I, personally, have been playing Roblox for approx. 6 years, befriending and unfriending various people, as well as experiencing surfing through the games multiple times. In my opinion, Roblox is something I would recommend for teenagers/older kids to adults, as this game is filled with kids that can be rather immature. There is a social chatbox, where anyone can practically say anything, and only words that Roblox deems fit to censor are censored.
A kid could stumble upon vulgar language or racist comments. This is because it is not a closely monitored game in terms of watching everything that your kid is doing/saying. Roblox itself is just a 'web-genre' of games that you can browse. As a parent, I would recommend paying closer attention to the type of games and servers your child will be able to access, as well as the friends they could be befriending.

Again, this is a public game. Unfortunately, anyone could be posing as anything.

With that being said, I also believe there are many benefits your child could receive from playing this game. It allows for anonymous social interaction with fun games and customization, which allows expression and freedom of choice.

As someone who grew up on this game, I do recommend it to a certain degree.
Be cautious with online platforms closely associated with online interaction, and as such, Roblox does allow for the blockage of users and reports of their inexcusable/inappropriate behaviour.

With all that considered, I would give a tip of playing it yourself or testing it out first. Maybe take a few baby steps to ensure safe play.

Im only writing 1 star because i cant write a 0 my child got and i got a 25$ gift card which is worth 2000 robux but we only received 1400 such scammers just so fricking horrible

Assuming you find a game, you like it will be plagued with bugs because of ROBLOX's absolutely horrendous coding language. Any games you may have liked or enjoyed prior to 2017 are most likely broken stopped updating or straight up just converted into a money-making cash cow.

The main point of almost all games on roblox is to make a p2w game that will lure children so most if not all of the games have no substance beyond 10 minutes of walking around a granny themed obby or whatever to find yourself at a rewarding end of items you can only use if you buy them in game

A lot of the items game passes and whatnot on Roblox are more than 10 dollars because the robux collection on bigger games is focused on content creators who get given admin accounts w infinite Robux

90 percent of the games that care to have an admin choose power hungry neck beards who will be $#*!s to your children and most likely just became admin for bragging rights

Every game is made from like the same 2000 assets so almost every game has shared assets so seeing games that look exactly the same like parkour courses (obbies?) or be an admin game's is constant

I have tried so many games including Roblox, this game is not bad, but it's support is so bad.
I have lost some accounts on other games like clash of clans, but after my first try I got my account back in less than 24 hours.
In Roblox ai have tried 4 times around 2 years, and the last result is, " we have provided you with all that we can at this time"(lost account).

My daughter was bullied on this game and Roblox didnt nothing to help my situation as they said it did brake the laws. Being called a $#*! and names definitely is being bullied.

There have been plenty of bans on players who abused the system. But the ones abusing, provoking and harrassing those banned people seem to often get a free card. It is rediculous and discriminating that this can happen. In the past i made alot of video's of people who came away with hacking, bullying and provoking other players. Sadly, thanks to Samsung, those video's are gone from a crashed SSD. I will try and get more proof again of the injustice of Roblox.

I've been playing roblox since 2016 and have enjoyed it up until now. I started uploading clothes and was able to upload a couple until two of my items were not uploaded but the robux were taken out of my account. Apparently I broke the TOU rule. But there is many people who upload clothes that are much more innapropraite than a crop top or a shirt with a string around it. I've seen shirts with lingeries or even innapropriate pictures added on there. 20 robux were taken out of my account that I will not be seeing again. Watch out before you decide to upload clothes that aren't even considered innapropriate. Damien on the roblox team was very rude.

Roblox newest update put in an anti-cheat engine to prevent cheating but makes it so people can't launch game from the site and the desktop apps from the site and microsoft store load slower the molasses, I do not recommend Anyone play roblox at All.

Roblox say they do not permit harassment or bullying at the same time banned the wrong people for the wrong thing. For an example I got banned for one month for calling my friend a rat. But then other people don't get banned for calling people names bullying people actually harassing people saying sexual things to other people making people feel uncomfortable. The fact that roblox banned people who talk to their friends the way they normally do but don't banned other people for doing inappropriate or saying inappropriate things. Roblox please fix this.

With the new update, Roblox is pretty much impossible to get into. Match the direction of the animal with the symbol to the direction of the hand. You have to do it 9 times…9 TIMES to prove you're a human. You can barely see the animal and if you are slightly off in the direction or even ONE, well. Try again WITH ANOTHER 9. Absolutely ridiculous. Never using Roblox again.

My son has played it for the last year. He is 6 and pretty much gets it. 2 months ago I got emails from my two credit card companies that there was suspicious activity. Turns out that while using the app he was clicking through some of the features and clothes for his avatar and racked up over $2000 in charges. You can't call roblox, the email I sent gave instructions to reply with detailed information including the the time of purchases. We are talking about dozens of clicks for a few weeks every day.impossible. After emailing what I could find they told me me to contact googlepay. Guess what, you can't talk to them either and emails to them were pointless. Just say no. Amex guy I called said he had the same situation with his young daughter and he too could do nothing. Don't do it, there are other games for kids that don't try to steal money from parents

If you want just a quick summary: I've loved Roblox, but it's not as good anymore. Many players and I have wasted our money and now some of our gamepasses don't work because Roblox developers are lazy.

However, if you have time to read, please hear me out and read my full review.

As a person who has played Roblox since 2017, I can confirm that Roblox has had some shining moments. A large variety of "experiences" to try, many different players to connect with, and lots of cool items to create and collect. However, the game isn't as good as it used to be. At this point, I'm probably playing due to nostalgia. Also, many of us have been scammed by the lazy creators.
First of all, their was a situation last year with the audio privacy. Roblox banned audios over 6 seconds from becoming public. They did this to prevent lawsuits concerning copyright claims. This is a problem for many of us Roblox players because we have bought gamepasses in various 'experiences' on Roblox to play our own music. Now, our money has basically been wasted because we can't use boomboxes anymore to play music. Even some audios that are under this 6 second limit aren't being approved later. Roblox's developers and creators are so lazy that instead of hiring a team to approve audios to make sure they aren't copyrighted, they just ban all audios so they don't have to deal with any consequences. They won't even offer refunds for any of these gamepasses.
Second, be careful who you allow to play Roblox. I have firsthand seen some disturbing things happen on Roblox. Sometimes people swear in the chat (which also shows how flawed Roblox's censorship is) or say inappropriate things to other players. (This is a major reason why I regret buying gamepasses in 'experiences' such as Meepcity)
Try Roblox. It's free. I'll tell you, it's not awful. However, I want to warn you about the dangers of buying gamepasses because I have lost many dollars to gamepasses that are now inactive and useless. Roblox used to mean so much more to me, to all of us Roblox players, but now, it feels like a joke.
I hope that Roblox will see what it's doing with itself and will try to work on their moderation in the future.
