What a nightmare!

My wife called Ring to cancel our service.
The customer service representative told my wife that she had to go through the process
One hour later we our still trying to cancel.
Finally I told them to just cancel and no longer needed. Never ever will we use ring

I lost my Ring Doorbell connection while overseas. After trying different FAQs suggestions, still no connection. Tried reinstall app as per FAQs, after new install unable to access it as needed verification code. Verification code sent to mobile but due to sim change unable to recieve as sent to UK sim. Spoke to Ring help agent's x 2. Wanted utility bills showing UK address. Tried showing, passport, driver's licence and medication details, all with address UK shown. Not accepted, utility bill only. Ask for verification code over phone, can't be done. I am paying a 1 year subscription for security that does not exists. Advice for Ring, don't touch them. I will be away from my home on the other side of the world and no security

Customer Service Sucks

Long story short, after 2 hours of speaking with a representative and several trouble shooting attempts later; including shutting my power off/on, off/on and climbing heights I didn't feel comfortable with, she disconnected my call! Didn't even get a courtesy call back. No accountability at all and wish I would have stayed with SimpliSafe

Purchased my system around August 2022. The beginning of September I noticed the doorbell camera was getting hot (it was hardwired to the house). I was getting readings of 145 degrees with my thermal thermometer and recalled the problems phones were having with fires in the past. I called the tech who came out and determined it was defective. He said they would mail me a new one, that he didn't have one in his truck. Sept 24th after not receiving anything I tried calling customer service. They said that one would be sent. On 11/6 I called again and they said one would be sent within 24-78 hours. 11/21 I called again and was told I would receive it camera within 2-3 days. With a max of days. 12-1 called again (this is when it really went downhill). Called again asked to speak to a supervisor as in the past I was not getting anywhere. Waited over a half hour to speak to Carmella. Who said they had no record of us ordering a doorbell camera, and she needed the serial number off the old one to go any further. I explained the the tech took it with him as he had never seen this problem before. Well from this point on I started to get a lecture on how I should not have let him take the camera and I yes I had to call the installer and company to find out where they took the camera. This is after 4 months of back and fourth phone calls and they will not look into it. Needless to say I canceled my contract will bite the bullet on all of the products I purchased and go with another company. One more comment whenever I would call I would be put on hold for a while while they contacted shipping. They would do this 3 to 4 times than come back and say the item will be be shipped soon...what a bunch of bologna... Please don't consider ring, this has been a nightmare

Trying to get a technical issue resolved was a NIGHTMARE! I had to switch internet providers for the house. This, of course, affects my ability to use RING. Was unsuccessful in resetting up new internet with RING. I tried to go back to the old internet to use RING. Unsuccessful! Again! Tried to call the 1-800 number, they stated the email address was encrypted and I HAD to have used a business e mail. IMPOSSIBLE. I don't have a business! The lady (from the Philippines, by the way) stated to me that I have reached the highest escalation and there's something that is wrong on my end. I stated there is something wrong on your end and either send me out another ring or get my money back. She insisted that it was an issue on my end, and there was nothing I could do as she was the highest escalation. My issue is still on resolved, and they are taking money out of my account! This is the company from hell.! When you have a technical issue with your ring service, and sooner or later, you will, good luck, trying to get help! An absolute nightmare!

I have 2 x wired cams, 1 x wireless cam, 2 x doorbell / cams - and they are great - when working. WHEN WORKING! Totally unreliable. I'm a very experienced IT guy of over 40 years, and I can tell you now - I'm surprised Ring is still trading. I guess if everyone who is experience problems, got together for legal action - things would get very interesting.

You just can not rely on these devices maintaining a connection - mines on a high quality signal / Mesh network. You can not rely on a reliable detection, or live view connection, or uninterrupted stream.

Someone at Ring needs to get their act together - and sort these problems out. Meanwhile - if you want a system that is reliable - and does what it claims to do - then look elsewhere.

After i called the Business services and discussed what we were needing to do. He gave me options and we purchased several bundles of what he suggested. We received the packages and with in a few days tried to install. They wont work in our building. There are too many obstacles for the connections to work. Did a chat to return the items. And to return them i need to get out several of the items to give them numbers on them. Like they changed from the order. Then there is a separate link to return 3 other items we also purchased on this link it is asking us to upload pictures of the items! What the crap. I will NEVER suggest ring. Purchase Wyse!

This product goes off line daily. If you don't buy the monthly plan of $5.00 a month, it won't work!. Get google Products as RING is the worst one on the market!

My doorbell (working on battery) often - about 40% of the time - doesn't record correctly: it shows a black screen with just audio. The video, when it does work, is grainy and laggy, littered with artifacts and noise.
I have a hard-wired Ring camera in the backyard and it is a bit better.

I purchased a complete Ring system on 9/30 and installed it the same day. The base station failed in the first two hours. After spending countless hours on the phone, I was told to ship the base station in, and I would receive a replacement. It's been over a month and still no replacement, no update, nothing from Ring. So, I spent another long wait on the phone and was told it would be another 3 weeks for a replacement.

We bought the first one and it,... worked. They then recommended I upgrade to the 2nd one, it worked better for a while. They recommended that we buy the third HD Pro unit, so we did. They have never EVER worked as advertised. When I get a indication that someone is at the house or ring the door bell, I log in immediately only to find the person left 20 min ago. Never Ever, have we been able to answer the door bell via ring, and still find the person there. Then they lost my account. Now they want a cell phone to do 2 factor. I have a cell phone but no data. I dont want it! I am being told my ring will no longer work unless I set up two factor with a cell phone...! SO I have about $800 worth of Ring Crap that I can no longer use. Great company, I bet the founder would be proud as I spoke to him when he was getting started. Great work guys, you really screwed up a decent company.

Update on the rings well now they all stopped Working Lights Carma. Going with something better will let you know what I get and going to take some time and make sure it's right for me!

I have 7 rings and 5 of them are not working right 2 are not working at all and the others well the lights on them flash now and had to turn them off because of neighbors complaining. This is crazy at $250.00 for each one and I also pay for a service for them by ring that I can't us because the rings don't work and that also comes out on a yearly bases. So don't waste your money! I have said something about this before and nothing back from Ring. I WILL NEVER GET RING AGAIN!

Ring doorbell 3, what a con!

Bought this to add to security at our house after problems with a visitor. No mention of having to subscribe when purchasing, then after 28 days the thing is useless after the trial period expires. If I had known this would have not entertained a purchase, do not buy, it's a con.

Terrible customer service

The customer service is terrible. For the first time after installing the doorbell I called ring customer service. I was asked to uninstall the doorbell to find a QR code from it's back so they can help me! If this code was so essential why didn't they asked the customer to save it somewhere? Why don't they have it to send to the customers? They only kept repeating themselves. I will return the doorbell if I can. Besides the connection to the mobile is not instant and has enough delay that can endanger your security and you can't rely on it for your property security.

I live on my own so I got a ring to let me know BEFORE folks are at my door. I'm sitting here alone at night and I hear someone knocking on my door. I pull up ring to see nothing except that I'm offline.
After getting dressed and grabbing protection, I had to go outside because I have no idea whats going on except I'm alone, there's a stranger at my door since my friends don't visit at night and my ring camera isn't working.
Luckily it was some guy lost but it makes it completely pointless to have have security camera that doesn't work.
Meanwhile my Vuze or whatever cam is working fine, on the same wifi so it's not the wifi.

I bought my ring doorbell a few years ago. It was easy to setup. Its response time is very slow. When someone pressed the doorbell, it takes minutes to notify you, and then the person is gone. It cannot capture every scene when a person approach the doorbell. This is not the worst. Recently, it started to ask for two-way verification of the account. When you tried to log into the account, it asked for two-way verification. It wants you to sign in a previous computer or device that had signed into ring in the past. I dont have that device anymore, then it doesnt let me sign in. So i called customer service, and cannot reach any live person. It keeps saying that I need to verify my identity. I cannot sign in, how can I verify. This is so stupid. Then I tried chat support, and they cant help me either but wants me to call. And then they don't provide a call back. And then they have to email support. This is the worst smart doorbell I had ever used. I'll never buy Ring products again. It's useless and waste of time and money.

I would never recommend ring to anybody. Cameras go offline randomly. Then you must crawl up to the camera's location and push the button to pair it again. Total BS!
I've tried increasing my Wi-Fi signal to each camera, and they still disconnect randomly. Aggravation galore! Total garbage!

All video recording during the 30 days trial period are automatically erased, with zero backup, available to clients even if a yearly subscription starts within less than 24 hours, after the trial period.

Also, why bother spending $300 after taxes for a security light camera which can't even allow users to download, store of send any recorded events.
Furthermore, the camera will have to be trashed, if any LED bulbs have to be replaced, a very basic capability of any security light LED or incandescent lights. Maintenance fees per camera makes absolutely no financial sense.

Much less expensive security cameras with SD cards, which could store terabytes of video for 1 year+, and could be easily incorporated to an alarm system for a fraction of the price from Amazon. Ring products and services are not worth your money.

Too much hype for what's worth.
