They pretended to be part of the Westin hotel under reservationdesk.com. They took my credit card information and charged it immediately. I cancelled the reservation and was told by travelpass.com that I would receive my charge back less the "processing fee" of $17.99. They sent me an email saying they spoke with the hotel (Westin, which they did not and never have according to Westin) and said they could not refund my money. This company operates out of Guatemala and has deceptive predatory practices. When asked if they were associated with Westin, they said "YES". They are telephone scammers and AVOID THEM. The 844-area code is the first warning.
Impossible to work with. You have no idea who actually booked your reservation. Can't reach anybody to resolve any issues. Talked w/4 reps, none resolved. BOLO, don't book through by mistakes like I did. Thought it was the reservation desk for the hotel I wanted. Then they charge you a service fee of $17.99, and you get NO SERVICE.
Live and learn, won't do that again. Was b4 hurricane hit and feel taken advantage of.
Thomas, we apologize for your experience and any inconvenience this caused you. I will share this with our customer service manager. If you need further assistance with your reservation, please don't hesitate to reach out to our escalations team at [email protected].

I live in western North Carolina. I'm sure everyone is familiar by now of the devastation that was wrought on our communities as a result of Hurricane Helene. The governor of NC declared a state of emergency as Helene approached. On Friday, September 27, my wife and I were to leave for Ann Arbor, Michigan to see the game between Michigan and Minnesota. I am a former teacher and football coach who had two former players, Marlin Klein for Michigan and Coleman Bryson for Minnesota, playing in the game. This would have been the first time I had seen either play at their respective schools. We were very excited about getting up to Ann Arbor and spending time with "our" boys. However, because of the storm we could not get out. We had no power or cell service for 5 days. On Friday, the 27th, all roads out had had portions washed away or were blocked by down trees and electrical wires. On Saturday, we were able to get a call out to Staybridge Suites from emergency services at town hall to tell them what had happened. I spoke with a clerk named Roy and explained the circumstances to him. He told me any refund would have to be approved by the general manager. On Monday, I called again from town hall, and spoke to the general manager, George. George was of no help. He told me he would call the powers that be to see if something could be worked out and get back to me. To date, I have heard nothing. Delta, Hertz, and our hotel in Detroit all provided refunds immediately after hearing our story. If Staybridge is the type of organization that can look away and ignore the exigent circumstances that prevented us from getting to Ann Arbor for what was planned to be a great time of reunion with my players, they are not the type of business either I or anyone reading this should do business with.
Warner, Reservation Desk is an online travel agency, and we book reservations for over 200,000 hotels worldwide. We are not directly affiliated with the hotel and recommend contacting your hotel directly to resolve your issue.
We called to book a Econo-lodge after web search showed a very good price. We thought we were calling the hotel itself. We were actually calling reservationdesk.com. The agent gave us that price but then added $40 in fees and a $17.99 service fee for a total much higher than the advertised fee. When we rejected the price and tried to hang up the agent offered us a Super8 nearby at a much better price including resort fees and taxes. Total price was quoted to be 68.71. We agreed and he collect reservation information and credit card details. A few minutes later when my phone dinged showing the charges the actual price was 109$ plus an additional 17.99 booking fee - as a sperate CC charge,
We contacted reservationdesk.com again within 15 minutes of making the reservation. We spoke with a customer service person who apologized profusely for the agents 'mistake' and agreed to escalate the issue with 'corporate' but that would take several days. We asked the service person to cancel the reservation completely - but she claimed she could not do that. She didd agree to escalate to 'corporate.'
We contacted the hotel directly and tried to cancel the reservation. They said they could not cancel a Third-party reservation or refund the money. We told the hotel desk we would not be staying at the hotel that night.
I did not show up at the Spuer-8 hotel - and stayed at nearby hotel for a much better rate. We don't know if Reservationdesk.com will correct this mistake and refund my money. TBD.
I also filed a dispute of the charges through my credit card company. I don't know if they will help us... Also TBD.

This company adds significant fees and charges on top of the reservation and that is not disclosed. It is WAY cheaper to just book directly with the property you want to stay at. They also OFTEN reserve a different room than you thought you were booking. For example you booked a room with two beds and they reserved a room with one bed (that happened to me). Lastly, they have a a NO cancelation or change policy. So they charge you way more, reserve you a room that you did not bool and then you cannot change or cancel your reservation. Totally scam.

Rude agents. Not willing to work with you. Had to cancel a reservation and was asked if I knew how to tell time. I called on the 30th to cancel the reservation on the 3rd and they charged full price. The hotel stated they do this all the time. Do not use this site!

Booked through this company for Rundle Chalets. They told me I would be charged 457 cad at checkout but I was actually charged 499 cad at checking. The property refused to accept the details I had on email and stated there was a 10% service charge, refused to refund me the difference.
I'm not sure who is in the wrong here, but I'm out of pocket.

This outfit sneaks into your reservation unknown to you and books you at a much higher rate (40%) than you would get going direct like you think you are. Then their customer service (offshore of course) cannot help you and hangs up after a long wait in line. I am reporting them to our dept of consumer affairs for the state. BEWARE OF THESE FRAUDS!

After a late night flight cancellation in Boston, I tried to find a room at close to 11 pm. By phone, ReservationDesk quoted USD$138.92 with a confirmation. While it was not inexpensive especially with currency surcharge to CAD that would be added, I agreed reluctantly. Imagine my shock when the receipt said USD$380.93 which became CAD$512.28! Plus Moxy added another USD$40! Zero question I would have sat overnight in the airport rather than pay this ridiculous amount since I'm unemployed. ReservationDesk claimed that everything on their end checked out so my complaint went nowhere.

They are awful. I stayed at Baymont by Wyndham. I thought I had the Wyndham number. The hotel had no internet the whole time. The hotel charged me 567 and I put it on my expense account. Reservationdesk.com charged me $756. They sent me a new receipt and I tried to get them to break down the costs per day and they wouldn't do it. I asked to talk to a manager and the man on the phone was so rude and said anyone is going to tell me that is the only receipt they can give me. They are overcharging people for rooms. Don't use them. Booking.com is just as bad. Try to book directly with the hotel.
We apologize for your experience, Renee. I will share your feedback with our customer service manager so we can look into your situation further. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please feel free to contact our escalations team at [email protected].
I did not realize that I was booking thru Reservationdesk.com ("RD") to start with. There was a $15.99 fee to book the hotel which was never mentioned on the call. However, I got that refunded. Note: I asked the rep on the phone why the charge on my card was $15.99 higher than the room rate and he said "oh I am not sure why that is but maybe they will not collect that balance when you get to the hotel!" So even the representative did not inform me of such a charge nor did it sound like he was aware of the charge. It showed up as a separate charge on my credit card bill the next day.
When we got to the hotel 2 wks later, the room was very filthy, one stained towel in the entire hotel for 4 guests, dirt and garbage on the floor, hole in bedding and a bed bug in the bed. We stayed only 45 minutes at this hotel and the desk clerk said "I am sorry this is disgusting and I will be sure that my mgr approves a full refund." The mgr did approve a full refund. I am working 4 wks now trying to get this refund. RD is the middle man and their vendor is webbeds.com whom they needed approval from for this refund. I recently received a 50% refund but RD was issued a full refund from Red Roof Inn. I implore you NOT to use Reservationdesk.com as they do not 1) stand by their word for a refund 2) charge a booking fee that the consumer is not aware of and 3) they take your fund in moments but 30 days to get a partial refund, at this point. I would assume after seeing pictures of this room for the hotel they partner with that RD would jump to refund the money. I paid with my Discover card and they will issue a full refund but told me to wait to "see if these vendors do the right thing."

Some booking agents will book you where they'd like you to be. Be attentive when booking, verify itinerary before ending the call and have the booking agent repeat it back to you.

The agent booked us an accessible room on the first floor because upper floors are not accessible. When we got there they said they didn't have any available and our agent's booking did not say there was a handicapped guest. We were lied to.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience, Alan. I sent you a private message explaining the situation. I appreciate your patience. --Rachael, Review Manager
Bought a hotel near Disney. They told me that we had breakfast and transfer to parks included and that wasnt true! It was 7 am, and we were ready to go, and get de new that the services weren't included. They ruined me a happy day. Dont trust this people. THE WORST!

I accidentally booked through Reservation Desk, thinking I was calling the direct line to the hotel we were booking - but Reservation Desk has their ad bumped to the top of the search page ahead of the actual hotel we wanted to book. We were requesting a specific room that we've stayed in before, and I confirmed 3 times with the agent that he was booking the correct room. When we arrived at the hotel, the agent had not booked the correct room, and we discovered he had charged us in USD even though I was booking from and in Canada. The agent did not inform me that the price he was giving me was in USD, so we ended up paying more than expected for a room we didn't even want. When I contacted Reservation Desk to explain the situation, I was promised a cheque for the difference in currency and a discount for the wrong room. That was two months ago and I have not received a cheque, nor have I received any replies to the emails I have sent trying to follow up on why I have not received a cheque. Very shady company in my opinion and I would highly discourage anyone from booking through them.

I thought that I was booking through the hotel directly but was not so never got my holiday in hotels. The guy on the phone was not transparent and condescending. Finally they charged me $16 fees extra without mentioning it, just for booking. Big scam!

I booked a place at on their website had decent reviews. I booked it. Upon further reviews, it was rated a one star. Everyone was complaining and warning not to stay here. Travel pass refuses to do anything to help or give our money back as we are not staying in a place that is so jacked up that people warn not to stay there. I would never use this company. They will not help you again as I said GOOD LUCK IF YOU DO!
One person actually told us we would get our money back, followed by everybody else telling us not gonna happen.
Initially had an issue with our booking but with support through online manager were able to get it resolved - thanks for your help.
Thanks for your review, Laura. We were happy to help to you!

My wife thought she was calling Yosemite Valley Lodge but actually called these scam artist. Initially she was quoted $623 for 3 nights in Sept. We both asked if that was the total for all 3 nights and she said yes and we could cancel up to 24 hours before arrival. However, the confirmation showed the price to be $2340 with additional charge of $15.99 for handling and it was non-cancellable. We called immediately but was told it would have to go to their Resolution Team and it would take 48 hrs. 48 hours passed with no response, then we were told 5-7 days. That passed also and just got BS. We checked with Yosemite Valley Lodge and obviously no reservations were found for us. Hopefully our bank can get better results. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

They added additional fees without my approval and refuse to refund. Learn from the reviews, this place is a scam.

Answer: It's a complete scam. What booking company takes your payment in full for the room months in advance and then you cancel months in advance and then they not refund your money! TOTAL SCAM! 110% scam!
Answer: You are really not talking to a supervisor when you ask to speak with a supervisor. They have terrible customer service and hung up on me when I insisted on talking to someone above the person who would not help me. Seriously! Read some script and then hung up on me. I cannot get a refund. Do NOT use this service. They scam you into believing that you are talking to a representative of the hotel. When I called them to get my money back, the so called, "Supervisor," hung up on me and would not let me speak to her supervisor. Very unprofessional conduct. I would never hang up on a customer. She read some script over the phone to me and then hung up on me. DO NOT USE this scamming outfit. You have been warned!
Answer: They were deceptive. I googled to call the motel directly and I do not recall if I asked them specifically am I calling the motel directly, but they answered reservation desk, so I thought I was calling the Motel, and they never told me otherwise.
