The company generally enjoys a positive reputation for its user-friendly reservation process and competitive pricing, with many customers appreciating the ease of booking and the informative website. However, several concerns were raised regarding transparency, particularly about fees and cancellation policies, which left some customers feeling misled. Customer service experiences varied, with some interactions being highly praised for friendliness and helpfulness, while others indicated confusion due to communication barriers and insufficient support. Overall, while the company demonstrates strengths in convenience and pricing, it would benefit from enhancing clarity in its policies to improve customer trust and satisfaction.

After I found out what the rate was I tried to cancel but the agent hung up on me and when I called back they said I could cancel but I would have to pay the full amount. What a poor experience stay away from these people.
Spent $1,024.80 on a 2 night 3 day hotel stay at Leoland California castle Hotel. First the money want supposed to be deducted until you arrival but was taken out 2 weeks prior. When we're arrived they didn't have all of information needed. We didn't have tickets for each park for each day as included in package when we're reserved. I had to spend more money for access to parks out soul my daughter's birthday. Bummer do NOT USE RESERVATION COUNTER book directly with hotel to avoid problems. Lastly customers service did booty help at all. The hotel says they saw in system $480 was refunded to us but that never happened.

Never, ever book from this website. Be very careful when searching for Marriott hotels. We thought we were booking straight through the hotel. They would not upgrade our room for the safety of my child with Down syndrome who elopes from hotel rooms. We wanted adjoining rooms, the hotel only has certain rooms they have that adjoin. Which means we would need to upgrade. The hotel in of itself is amazing and said this shouldn't be a problem to upgrade with the other site. This site however is horrible and shows no concern for the safety of my child. Never book through them, NEVER!

DO Not use Reservation Counter. I was told they could not change my reservation nor give me a refund, Travel plans changed, called them they said I had to call the hotel for the OK to cancel and the managers name who approved it. WHY!? You did not need that to make my reservation! Then the hotel says they cannot help me because this is through Price Line? Bottom line book directly with the hotel or use IHG. Losing over $120 for a lesson learned!
Sorry for the confusion. We are required to follow the terms and conditions as well as the cancellation policies that the hotels’ establish in the booking system. These policies are highlighted before customers complete their booking online or shared by our agents with customers booking on the phone. These policies may differ from those on reservations booked directly at the property. If you’d like more help with your reservation, please contact our escalations team at [email protected]
The worst customer service ever wont ever trust this service ever she was rude and hang up on the phone after I asked a question very rude

I made a reservation for a hotel and had to cancel 2 weeks before my arrival date. I was told there was a non refundable fee of $14.99, and I received confirmation of my cancellation. Reservation Counter kept $108.00 of my money. I called to ask why and was put on hold for a long time. Finally a supervisor came on the line and said it was their policy. BE WISE. DO NOT USE THEM TO MAKE A RESERVATION! Contact the hotel directly. You don't need a middle man. NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER USE RESERVATION COUNTER!

They give the impression you are booking directly with the motel, do not mention anything about a fee and get your credit card informaiton to "Book the room". $14.99 then gets added to your bill. I am not clear on if motel is aware of this or involved, but the charge appears on the final bill when you check out.

I feel that this company lied and had me thinking I booked at the front desk of Hotel Del Coronado. We were planning a visit the weekend of 3/26. On 3/23 my mother in law suddenly passed away. I called the same day and asked to reschedule. They told me that I missed the window by one day. I did not even realize I had a window. Trickery! Then on 4/9 I turned in the death certificate. Then I got an email from Carlos saying a refund would be forthcoming. As of today 6/4 the refund has not yet arrived. We have emailed numerous times and they will not make it easy to call in. They answer the phone for new reservations, but you will hold for hours to get customer service. And then the call drops. I am so frustrated. Plus I called Hotel Del Coronado, after locating the CORRECT number, because they blame it on the hotel. I was told today that they never billed reservation desk. So this is a BIG LIE! Beware! This is a crime. I may take it to court as it is a matter of principal and today I see several reviews that are complaining about similar issues. Wish I knew better upfront. When I google the hotel the number that came up was this number, so it was an honest mistake.

Make sure when using this company you have the exact dates for check in and out. If you go to change the wait time on hold is horrible. I left my number for a call back (28) ahead of me, they did call back but was on hold again for another hour waiting so I just hung up. Will not use this company again.

These guys kept me on hold for 1 hour and 34 minutes to cancel a reservation but never got back to me. I was on hold and I just happened to be looking at email and found they cancelled. Do NOT use them!
We apologize for the hold time you experienced. We are always happy to help our customers and sometimes we do experience a lot of calls. If helpful, please note our email address at [email protected] or [email protected].
I know an elderly lady that was scammed by this so called company. She canceled a hotel reservation 60 days ahead of time and they refused to refund her money. Basically they stole her money.

I made an online reservation for the Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Worth/Alliance Airport on 28 February 2021 for a one night stay on 12 March 2021 (Re. Subject confirmation number provided by you). I traveled from Austin, TX to Texas Motor Speedway to attend a very large Good Guys Car Show. Upon my arrival at the Hampton Inn on March 12, I was informed they had no reservation for me and because of the car show they also had no vacancies. I was asked to seek lodging elsewhere. I was not able to secure a room in the local area due to the car show and returned back to Austin, TX 3.5 hours south with the weekend ruined. I requested reimbursement of the total cost of this transaction of $118.97 for failure to secure the reservation. Didn't happen. I am disappointed that the Hilton Hotel system would use this type of company for their reservation process. It doesn't help their reputation.

They lie about the fees they charge! Also, although the hotel approved me leaving sooner than the reservation was made for reservation counter would not refund the nights I did not stay! They stole $300 or more dollars from me. When I called for my refund the customer service agent was utterly rude; laughing at me; making fun of my last name. When I told her I have been a customer service manager and would not allow my employees to treat customers the way she did; she taunted me by saying things like "you could not have been a manager; tell me the company you worked for." After, I told her the company, she continued to laugh and make fun of me. The customer service agents name was "Anna" the rudest most unprofessional agent I have ever dealt with. I asked to speak with her supervisor and after waiting 38 minutes she tells me I will have my supervisor call you back. This company needs to be put out of business!

I should have know when I dialed the hotel and reach the "center of excellence" F---ing India... The initial hotel supposedly had no vacancy so they found a more expensive option which I declined. The second option supposedly comparable was a total dump. We looked at 4 different rooms they were all discussing. After hours of being on hold and multiple conversations with reservation counter staff they were going to refund our money. I even received 2 emails stating the charges were refunded. 2 weeks later I recieve a 3rd email telling me the hotel would not refund the charges which is horse $#*! since I have a signed ticket from the hotel saying they did not have my money and would gladly agree to cancel my reservation and communicated with the reservation counter staff I should not be charged. What a total waste of time and money. Never will I do this again.

I bought from this site everything is good to recommend - bought from I highly recommend this site I recommend it!
Thanks for your review of the booking process.
I thought I was making a reservation through the hotel. Their website looks like the hotel website to trick you. They did not advise you that they were not the hotel reservation desk and they charge a service fee for the booking. I had to cancel my reservation due to the gas shortage-a national emergency in the states I was driving in. I called the hotel and mgr. Said he would refund me. Then I was made aware by the mgr. That the reservation was made through Reservation Counter and I would have to contact them. Reservation Counter said that it would have to go through an inquiry(WHY?) The rep said she would get back to me in 24-48 hours. No response. Four days later, I called again and the service rep told me that I would have to wait 3-10days to hear a resolution. Meanwhile they have charged my credit card a service fee and the whole fee of three nights at the Hyatt. They are holding my money! This is illegal business practices.
I’m sorry for the confusion. Reservation Counter is recognized by the biggest brands in travel and successfully books more than 10,000 room nights every day. This company will over charge you and will not refund your money. They have someone from India that doesn't speak English answering their calls. They over charge me and took my money. Go straight to the company to book your reservation DO NOT book through them. FRAUD

This might be long winded review but I want to warn as many people and hopefully they won't make the same mistake. My first mistake is I googled the contact number for the flamingo hotel in Vegas. We usually can get free rooms when we go to Vegas with our players card and only have to pay the daily resort fee. When I called the number (my fault) they of course answered "reservations" and I thought I was talking to the flamingo. I didn't realize I had a third party booking company. I kept talking about how we had two player card customers staying in the room assuming that was factoring in on our price. We did get a good deal ( well at least we thought). Our price was roughly $20 a night but that included ALL fees. We usually get free but pay the resort fee so this was even better. So me and my husband who was on speaker phone with me asked multiple times if there were any additional fees like resort fees upon check in. The agent said over and over that NO additional fees would be collected. We were paid in full. We agreed of course and we're happy. Several hours went by and we didn't receive a confirmation email. So we called again. We asked the second agent the same question about the resort fees because now we were skeptical. They once again swore we were paying for everything now and nothing would be collected at the hotel. We finally got a email confirming.
So day of arrival we stand in a huge line with all our stuff ready to check in. Of course we could not check in with our paying an additional $40 daily resort fee. The flamingo staff said we were not told the truth and could not check in with out paying up. We ultimately did and learned our lesson. We will never book with Expedia or reservation counter again.
If your thinking why am I complaining over $20 something dollars a night, it's more than that. First it's the honesty thing. And secondly in our case we would have done our trip differently. If we would have known the total of our stay we would have stayed somewhere else.) we really only stayed there because it was too good of a deal to pass up.

I didn't plan to use this site - thought I had gone directly into the resort site for my reservations! Such a scam - didn't need to pay the addtional fees for no real service or help from this website! SCAM

BE AWARE: STAY AWAY! To be clear. When I made my reservation on-line I thought I was making my reservation with the actual hotel. Learned the hard way that that was not the case.
When I called the booking assistance at the Reservation Center to cancel my reservation (5/11/20). I felt like I was given the runaround. First I was on hold for 15 minutes before I decided to have a representative call me back. That took another 15 or 20 minutes. When a representative called back, I was placed on hold for another 5 minutes before the representative (Anna) responded. I explained to Anna that I needed to cancel my reservation because I just received a call from my husband's doctor that his surgery scheduled on 5/12/21 will need to be rescheduled due to an emergency. Unfortunately for us, we received the message from the doctor while we were in route to the hotel. I explained to her that I tried to cancel my reservation at the hotel. I was told because it was I went through a third party to make the reservation that I would need to contact the third party to cancel my reservation. Anna said what I could not cancel my 2-day reservation because I was outside the cancellation policy. I just made the reservation only 5 hours prior. I expected to pay a cancellation fee. I was not expecting to have to still pay for my 2-day reservation. A cost of $283.55. Anna said she would get her manager team. His name was Mario. Mario could not help and said he would have his manager team call me back also. It's been over 2 hours and I have not received a call back from anyone. Lesson learn for me. I would never book from a 3rd party vendor again. At least not this one. I am very dissatisfied with the service I received from the Reservation Center. Unfortunately for me, I am out of nearly $300 and, I still need to make a reservation in another week or two for my husband's surgery again. What an expensive lesson Hopefully, I can help someone not fall prey to this booking company. STAY AWAY!

Answer: Trying to cancel a reservation, the rote voice said it did not recognize the phone number, even though it was the same phone I used to make the reservation. Then asked if the reservation confirmation number started with an R. I said No. It asked me several more times. I kept answering No. Then it told me to call the hotel for help and hung up. Called the hotel. They said they could not cancel since the reservation was made through a third-party company. That I would have to cancel through ReservationCounter. (Oh, by the way, I had tried to use the online Cancellation page - it doesn't work.) It was very difficult to get through to anybody and there were very long waits in between. I will never use this company again.
