The WORST service I have EVER received. Picked up trash on time ONCE in months. All other times had to call for missed pick up. Sometimes over a week would go by until they picked up the trash. Do not hire this company. You will not be happy.

So frustrating!

I had Republic as my refuse and recycling provider for several years. When they changed to every other week pick up for recycling, the frustration began. I had trouble getting my bin switched to a larger one. That took weeks and calls, then apparently they sent us the wrong pick up calendar. I ended up calling multiple times after each missed pick up just to get the service I was paying (a premium at that) for. I made the decision to change service providers and it took more calls to get that done and the bins picked up. I finally heaved a sigh of relief but there was one more frustration, another bill (marked "late") for $50+. I wasted more than $50 of my time over the months that they were not checking to see why my recycling wasn't getting picked up. It takes nerve to tell me you want more money after all that. It could have been simple but no problem solvers work there.

I scheduled a bulk trash pickup with Republic Services to be picked up 6/22 and paid $120 for the service. Two days went by and the trash was not picked up. I called 6/24 to ask for my money back and to cancel the service and I got the $120 refunded. On 8/4, there was a pending amount of $120 to be debited by Republic from our checking account. I was informed they incorrectly billed me but I asked to cancel my contract with them. I was informed there would be a removal fee for the 2 containers and was prepared to pay that amount. On 11/22, I received a voicemail from Republic saying that if I did not pay the $195 charge on my account, I would be sent to collections. This amount included a bulk pickup that was not scheduled and the removal fees for the containers. I called and spoke to a supervisor who removed the erroneous charges and informed me that all I needed to pay for the container removal was $34.96, which I paid that day. Today, 12/17, I received a bill from Republic Services for $30.00 for container removal that occurred on 11/3 (the containers were removed on 10/15 and I was told this was paid for on 11/23). I get on the phone with a supervisor who informs me my account balance is $0 but the "system generated invoice" is trying to catch up with itself. I requested written communication showing that my account balance is $0 and my account is closed so that they will not try to send me to collections again. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be pursuing legal action if I receive another erroneous bill from this company.

Republic trash in the little town of Osceola IN is a joke 5 weeks in a row my trash has not been picked up they raised the price 15 dollars and everytime you call customer service they have clue and you will never get a call back from a supervisor or manager $#*! this trash company the next time they miss me I am taking the trash bends and trash to there facility two miles down the road and dumping it all over there property

We left Republic Service for a different residential garbage service. We paid for the remainder of the quarterly costs despite not using the service as required by our Service Agreement. We then received notification of an additional fee for Republic to pick up their garbage can and clean it. There was no documentation other than" required fees" section of the billing statement. Customer Service offered no explanation other than stating they had to send another truck to pick up the can and clean the can. In addition, our service date was on Monday. There was no pick up on the following day or an additional day's pick up to cover the day that was missed. The discount for the missed service day was minimal at best. Customer Service was terse and slightly condescending in their tone when questioned about their fees and poor documentation. Glad to be rid of Republic and would discourage anyone from using their service.

Former driver at the flowood ms location ran by mid level dope dealer's and urban terror thugs. There corrupted human resource manager will retaliate when you report unsafe truck defects and dangerous crime activity inside the workplace. Machanics are not certified and the Operations manager will have his street thug friends try to intimidate you by vandalising your vehicle to run you off. If the tactics don't work the corrupted human resource manager will terminate you.

Multiple missed pick ups

I have been with Republic for 6 years, ever since moving up from San Diego to Orange County. There have been multiple missed pick ups, usually for recycling. This week they missed again. Sometimes when they don't come on our normal pick up day, Wednesday, they will come Thursday. By Thursday afternoon no pick up. I called and spoke with a female agent who scheduled me for Friday. By Friday evening no pick up so I called and spoke to agent Larry who said that I was scheduled for pick up that day but in case they didn't come he would schedule me for the next available pick up, Monday. Monday is two days away from the next pick up cycle. Disappointed.

Do not use! They never pick up your trash on the scheduled day. You have to call and call to get them to come, as many as 5 days later. Cancelled and went with another company who always comes on time. I would give them 0 stars but you had to choose 1 star to write the review.

I have had 3 different garbage collection services the last one not of my choosing because Republic Services bought the last good company that I was using and it turned into a nightmare. Republic calls me every single week at 7 am then at 8 am then 8:30, then 8:50, then 9:00 am then 9:10 am again to tell me they will not pick up trash until the next day. They are the worst company ever! Do not use them you will be sorry if you do.

Worst company EVER!

Heed my warning never ever use Republic Services. I would give them no stars if possible. They are by far the worst company to deal with on all aspects. The service is horrible! The invoices continually increase. Driver's truck leaked oil on our driveway. They made me send a certified cancelation letter 3 months in advance of cancelation date. They charged us a removal pickup fee that was not in the contract. They tried to charge me another month after they had picked up our bin the previous month. Republic Services is double what most other companies charge. There is no customer service. All they care about is the money. A supervisor was supposed to call me back and no one ever did. Just an awful company!

Horrible Service

Very polite but ineffective customer service. The most recent situation with Republic surrounds the use of biodegradable bags. The website states "biodegradable" bags and shows an instructional video of a man using "plastic" green biodegradable bags as the proper way to dispose of yard waste. Before I purchased the same bags I called and asked their customer service if they were acceptable; they said they were. However, Republic customer service is national. The local crews will not pick them up. We've had other issues with Republic as well. They have failed to pick up. They often leave the trash bins in the street or in a position blocking the driveway. Just all around bad service.

RUBBISH

The last 3 years of service with Republic garbage collection has turned into now 14 missed pickups since June 2021. My bill is approx $135 for 3 months, $5.62 per pickup times 14. $78.68 is what I'm owed and the paid professional lying rep. Proudly credited me $7 in October! The lies never stopped all times I called and was transferred to rep. Mostly told the service would be here but running late only. RUBBISH! F. Y. I. have been a customer in same house since 1998 with same Republic Services(name changed once or twice). They were once a conscientious business.

Ordered a dumpster for a site clean up over a week from the start date of the job. Paid them their fees they requested. Called them back 2 days prior to the drop off date to confirm everything was good. Got the confirmation everything was a go. Well sitting here all day today waiting for this dumpster and no show so I call them and they tell me that it is not being delivered because of paperwork problems. Do not I repeat do not use these clowns. You will loose time on the job

Thanks so much for the Thanksgiving trash decoration that you've created for our 20 guests tomorrow. You missed our Friday pickup. We called Monday and you said it would be picked up Tuesday. It wasn't. Today, you said it was never flagged as a missed pickup and it would probably be Friday. Yay! Our guests get to see a bunch of nasty trash. Hopefully, its scent doesn't overpower the smell of our dinner. Horrible customer service and incompetence. Several neighbors have called to complain and it's still not handled.

I had service established with the company two years ago for commercial office building in Scottsdale. The monthly charges was about $98 total. I placed the account on autopay only to find today that the company has been charging me $182 monthly. I knew it's a mistake and I called to have it fixed, the billing rep. Department apologized and stated he can not refund but he can lower it again going forward. He emailed me immediately what he called an acceptance for the lower rate, but in fact it was a three year contract. The sales rep. Who established that account for me two years ago called me later and tried to do the same thing without telling me that it is a three year contract until I asked him. When I told him that I'll not signing a new contract, his response was "this is the only way I can help you". It is clear that this is the way this company ripoff customers, and they train their sales reps and billing department to trick clients, be deceptive and dishonest.

When Republic bought out Heartland waste my trash service instantly declined. They started missing my pick up days. After 3 times of missed pickups and empty promises of getting my trash picked up with no offer of a refund or answer for the lack of service I canceled them.

I have been with Republic Servive for trash pick up for 5 years, I am behind 1 month, they suspended my service effective tomorrow11/16/21 I tried to call to make a payment promise and they they don't work with customers. I spoke to Amber and her supervisor Dandy today, they could not help me!
What a terriable company, I will pay them and then switch to Kimble

Lack of Communication
November 10, 2021

I had bought a house and decided to continue the service from the previous owner. Set everything up, paid the $50 for the first month. Pickup came and they took my trash can. I called and the girl said she doesn't know why they're "picking" on me but they would deliver another can the following week for an additional $50 drop off fee. I told her that was absolutely asinine and I would like my money back. They couldn't refund my money. So I told them to cancel my services. Fast forward to the following week, THEY DROPPED OFF A CAN! Marcus, was very helpful in getting my account closed and was sympathetic to the situation. The only person in the 5 people I have spoke to that actually listened to the situation and resolved the issue.
