The overall reputation of the company is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived censorship and biased moderation practices. Many users express frustration over account management issues, such as difficulties in deleting accounts and unjust bans, which contribute to a sense of being silenced. While some appreciate the platform's diverse content and sense of community, the overwhelming sentiment is one of disillusionment with the site's environment, described as toxic and unwelcoming. This dichotomy highlights a pressing need for improved moderation transparency and user support to enhance the overall user experience.

Reddit is literally a life-changer. There are so many friendly people and so much stuff to learn from that it's impossible to describe. Once you try it out you won't be disappointed.
There is no other place like reddit. You can find so much useful information there it's amazing. It continues to grow everyday, so you can come and have fun when you feel like it or educate yourself whenever you're up to it.
I liked reddit until they started censoring all kinds of speech. I dont believe forcing people out of the public square is the way to handle opinions and speech.
So much for the front page of the internet, so much for free speech and dialog. So much for truth. If you give a differing opinion or facts with sources that go against the status quo, you are labeled, banned and/or told your point doesn't matter.
The Internet is a cesspool of lies, at least we could address it in all it's entirety. Now walking on eggshells is the norm. If I wanted to have a debate I shouldn't want to win because of others feelings I'll go visit family. Just put us in the matrix already, we're already dead.
Long gone are the times when the site attempts to allow a diversity of viewpoints. The whole benefit of something like reddit was that it allowed discussion about complicated topics, with a system that would naturally allow the "best" opinions to matriculate into view. The problem is that they have been inundated with censorship based on the sensibilities of their most sensitive, lunatic fringe.
Instead of drawing a hard line, the admins and moderators have reliably caved to the demands of this vocal minority at the expense of freedom of expression. The result is a substantially worse site with each month. I imagine that there will be a DIGG-esque migration away from the site as soon as a decent alternative presents itself.
Reddit really hates white people. Reliable as CNN or a gossipy 14 year old with an axe to grind. Lots of censorship from mods who obviously have an agenda. They quarantine subs for no other reason than they oppose their views. But everyone already knows this.
Blatant racism (the kind that reddit admins like including calling for violence and terrorism) is frequently allowed but any form of humor and thoughts going against their ultra left hugbox leads to complete removal of content. I hope it crashes and burns
Most of reddit is mundane conversations about videogames, pictures of cats and porn, but if you are there for any amount of time you will invariably stumble on it's dark side. Want to watch ISIS execution videos or make death threats against the president? No problem. Have concerns about immigration? Worried about pedophiles? Criticisms of communism? You will be silenced.
The CEO of the site runs the forum dedicated to cannibalism and can't hide his hatred for any politics to the right of Karl Marx. The moderators of all discussions, including those about non-political things like sports or cars are required to enforce his radical idealism so anyone falling outside of the approved narrative is quickly silenced.
I've used the site for years because it can be a very good source of information if you know how to use it, but it's toxic moderation has led me to use it less and less often.
No wrongthink allowed. Each subreddit is filled with dictator moderators who are ban happy. Reddit admins will ban you if they don't like you or your subreddit, even if you aren't technically breaking the rules.
It's like U. K the website. Talk about Muslim rape gangs or just calling Muslims "Muslims" instead of asians will get a ban. People all over the site are still very butt hurty about trump (which is why I stay, it's too fun not to antagonize these deranged people who feel they should silence anyone who disagrees with them). Talk about guns and you do a hate. Talk about violence on the left or post videos of leftists being leftist and you are quick to be discreded and pm'd by many people who will disagree with you. Is currently a huge leftist echo chamber with a few decent subs that don't act like want to kill you. Even a sub like public freak out is now almost exclusively for politically charged statements (for the right and the left I will add) moderators and admins are able to hide or show whatever they want making it really easy to make a political narrative at times of their choosing.
Subs keep getting banned left and right. At least three major subs are quarantined, and will probably soon be banned.
This resource is full of valuable information. You may discuss a lot of topics with a lot of decent folks here. Love this one!
It provides a lot of targeted traffic for any websites. Many visitors came to your site/s if you know where and how to interact, but be careful not to spam as they can detect it very quickly and can cause you to get shadowbanned.
I posted a comment n the relationship section where the OP had asked if their significant other was being a $#*!. I said yes, the particular behavior pointed to him being a $#*!. I see much worse posted in the thread on a constant basis. My comment was deleted by moderators insisting that the relationships thread needed to be non gendered and therefore my post was deleted. So they say no genders are allowed. No he, no she. Yet that is 90%of the thread. Saying $#*! in the context of how an individual was behaving was apparently implying $#*!ing gender. While agreeing with the OP 's question, which was is he being a $#*!. $#*! this website and the randomness, I won't go back to it. I deleted my account. Good luck navigating the random minefield of some people are allowed to mention gender and some of us apparently need to skirt around that topic.
Moderators will delete your comments and then use your content. Search 8ch and your ideas end up there with an Anon. Vote Manipulation is awful.
The anonymity is at its best, but the rules and Rediquitte is a $#*!-job.
Anyone for no specific reasons can get shadowbanned or even deleted!
Reaching out to support is nearly impossible and even if you do, they hardly respond back.
Update: They un-shadowbanned my account after 12 days [they didn't respond until 12 days!]
Undoubtedly, Reddit's userbase is too smart if compared to Facebook's.
I love using Reddit, I have learned more things in less than a year from Reddit than my 8 years of Facebook-ing!
The journey of my Reddit started with the leaked episode of GoT S07 on r/freefolk, and got over 100K Karma plus 5 times gilded in the very first 10 days!
Honestly, the UI, for me at the beginning, was too confusing, and reading the comments and finding the beginning and the end of the comment/reply thread seemed the most difficult task ever! But as soon as I got the hang of it, the same UI got me interesting feeling!
Yeah, I did a little karma whoring for that, but, hey that was in the beginning!
In Reddit, anonymity is quite good and there is subreddit for everything. Literally, for every f*king thing. The very "Front Page" is full of quality NSFW posts, and that's fine for users!
Unfortunately, these days, Reddit is quite a busy experimenting and trying new layout/UI. Most of the regular users are unhappy 'bout it, but for me, its fine until it doesn't turn out like Facebook!
Censorship is evil. Omiting the truth is unfair. Users, prepare to be banned if you like freedom of speech. Expect the best results to be filtered and shaped in a way that 'best suits the public'. The internet is not a place for children. This site is even more damaging to children, as it encourages children to use the internet. If you're a new user, prepare to omit and filter your own thoughts so that you don't have to fear being downvoted and hated. Grow up, head over Gab.ai, that is what the internet is, that is why children shouldn't be on the internet. Freedom of speech. Reddit uses robots to downvote content that is a thought crime. A test for robots was done on the conspiracy reddit and was immediately removed after 500 bots liked the post.
The mainstream subs are curated by a tightnit team of moderators and admins. Its not uncommon to go to a topic in politics or news, and see chains of removed comments leading the comment thread. Only certian comments are permited to stay on reddit. You will be realizing that you are reading the exact same set opinion, it gets repetiative very fast.
Loved Reddit for the pictures of cats, diy projects, stolen art (people will repost pictures and claim they made it, never giving credit to the actual artists) and other entertaining things. If you have children be aware! This site has such easy access to borderline child pornography and other smut/horrible things like mutilation and animal abuses you don't want your kids stumbling upon. I love the content but user beware the comment sections on EVERY subreddit is a toxic waste ground. You will leave the most innocent of comment (example: this cat picture is adorable!) and come back to doxxing threats and horrible things slewn your way. Go for the content just keep clear of commenting unless you intend to join the trolls.
Answer: Absolutely cancer. Unless you're an NPC without a brain of your own.
Answer: Use sitejabber, much better. Since they don't make you jump through hoops to post a review and they don't censor negative reviews. TONS of bad sites online. TONS of corrupt sites. Clean up the internet. Break up these monopolistic companies.
Answer: Don't trust reviews from reddit because the site is censored to get rid of negative reviews. Censored by corrupt moderators and admins.
