I paid the fee for the search, which provided only information about the car but not the owner. I then paid the additional fee for the "Premium" search, which provided some additional information but said that no information about the owner was available. I admit that I did not read the ToS very thoroughly, and I assume it says there is no guarantee that owner information will be available -- but I suspect this was just a way to get people to pay for the searches.

We source data from records made freely and publicly available by the state and local offices, agencies, and departments. Please allow me to explain why you have been charged, after taking a look at your account, it appears we have not received an email in regards to cancellation. Also, on the checkout page, it's the customer that must agree to billing terms. These terms clearly state that if the customer chooses to cancel their account within the trial period, the trial fee will be the only amount billed. If the account is not canceled after the trial period, the customer will be charged the monthly billing fee.
