I tested the site by searching for my own info. The simplest of info did not show.
Always they offer "premium info" for a pricean unknown price. I got prices from by getting on with the CHAT ASSISTANT. I think is was a robotic assistant-it took 6 minutes to get a quote of $9.00 to $25.00 per item on a Premium report! Whaat? Cheaper to hire a private investigator. Here's how their Ad should read:
Hi, folks! We really cannot assure you of ANY info at all, but there is a chance that SOME public records might be available that WE CAN access for free. This info will not likely be up to date; is slow to fetch, ane will require multiple inquiries about each and every detail. Now this is very time consuming and frustrating, so plan on a long, overnight project. BTW, insomniacs love us.
About our Premium Info Option. It's extra exciting. We keep it secret until you've bought into Basic. It also overpromises results AND includes a free IQ test! If you press the "Read The Report " button, we may now auto charge your credit card and you have no idea how much that cost. Are you excited yet? Do you feel smarter?
As a Grand Finale, you will discover documents may be expunged, misfiled, or otherwise no longer available without notice and WE can't help that, right? I mean, well, we're telling you NOW. Surprise!
Does not contain content it claims it has prior to purchase. Such as death record of someone I know to be deceased 2 years. Most info in there is less than what is contained in a phone book. It magically finds data on people you searched afterwards for an increased fee.
I looked up several people who I know have something on the record and it showed "no results". This web site is a rip-off and isn't worth a penny!
You will come into an area where you get no info about the person you are seeking info on and then a pop up window offering the right and correct info for more money. It is not worth the time or trouble. I dont know what else to say - this apparently wont post with out the correct amount of characters. Just stay away from them. Waste of time, money, and trouble.
They cannot find any information for you. I signed up and paid the payment for a Trial to find my driving record. Once I was signed up the website could not locate any information for me. I call customer support and they were no help except for the fact that they cancelled my account for me. It's a scam and I would never recommend anyone using this.
I needed to search a phone number to find more details about, I searched Google, Facebook expecting that the social network would spit some kind of information, then I stumbled upon recordsfinder.com and to my great surprise, found the info I needed for the most part and the info that I was not able to find, the friendly customer support manually located the missing information.
I wentto this website where supposedly information is free. You can enter the person's name for free, then they want payment to show you what they found. They keep sending me messages that pop up on my computer --SEVERAL TIMES A DAY!
They say they cannot stop sending me messages. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. EVER.
Paid for ADVERTISED info, HOWEVER, ONLY Basic info on all 5 searches - 1st search rendered info that was 24 years old. Other searches were semi-current to 10-15 years old. If all you need is info that you can acquire from a phone book or tax assessors office - then pay your hard earned $$$. PREMIUM SERVICES AVAIL -- for $18.00... I CALL BS!
Everything that has been said is correct, they say they have info, but after you pay, they show you nothing, I believe this company is taking the few scraps on the Internet that are free and putting a pretty background on it and saying it's true. Thing is, they give you nothing, all they give you is free stuff but charge you and hook you into a contract. Unbelievable. One star is over the top for this company.
This is just plain fraud... nothing in the report and the people I did search was nothing,, I am going to contact bank of america the better business bureau and the dept of justice for stealing my 3 dollars. If you think i am kidding just wait...
I found my dad's name and has report ID, showing me what information i can view for $3.98, but after i paid i cannot find his name. Requested for search assistant they email me back states i need to be premium to see the report. I will request to my credit card company for this scam.
Liers, bugging people, law suit in order for defamation of character. Many are looking into taking these money makers to court for continuous harassment, cyber bullying, and defamation of character
These people are stupid. They claim to have info but just after your money and they actually have no info at all. Dont get scammed
Do not use this site! Every review is correct. Went to the site entered my Vin on a vehicle I own and the site said "Report on vehicle available". So I continued and paid the $12.95 only to find out the "We were unable to produce a Premium Vin Report for VIN:"
So I naturally called customer service (not state side - in the Philippines) only to find out that the first statement about information regarding my Vin number was only to inform me "that there was information available in the US and even though I paid for the information it was clearly stated in recordfinder.com terms and conditions that the information was actually not always available".
After a few frustrating minutes I realized I was not going to get anywhere with the operator, so I asked for her name (Madison) and if I could speak with her manager (Dana). She told me her manager was dealing with another problem. So I asked for her email, she informed me I could find that on the website. I told her to have a good day and I would deal with the problem in the morning.
TO MY SURPRISE! About 5 minutes later I received an email stating they had refunded my purchase.
My reasoning for the post. Buyer beware... but kudos to their customer service for handling the issue properly.
People stop searching criminal records online it's illegal to get it online by law, so any site providing this info is scam, you can get it trough the lawer or by personal visit or by sending post mail to justice department https://oag.ca.gov/fingerprints/record-review
This is a scam, FREE? Yeah right!
$3.99 to provide a couple of addresses... there is a name for that!
Very disappointing results!
Scam. Didn't provide anything more that the free VIN searches provide, other than to say if I paid even more money, then they would show the vehicle's history. What a load of crap. Should have searched them prior to giving them my $1.

Answer: Hello Cherrita, Thank you for reaching out to us via Sitejabber. I understand what it might feel like to get charged for something you believed was cancelled. Please allow me to explain why you have been charged, after taking a look at your account, it appears we have not received an email in regards to cancellation. Also, on the checkout page, it's the customer that must agree to billing terms. These terms clearly state that if the customer chooses to cancel their account within the trial period, the trial fee will be the only amount billed. If the account is not canceled after the trial period, the customer will be charged the monthly billing fee. Please do not worry though, our Customer Care Team has already refunded the last three rebills that have occurred. Please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to be placed back onto your account. If you still have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
