An arrest from 12 years ago snuck up on me when doing a BG check for nursing school. I thought I was in the clear! I urgently needed an expungement to enroll in school for the next quarter and RecordGone did an amazing job getting my record expunged within 3 months! They did a thorough interview, I completed some documents, and just sat back while they did the rest. I am so happy with their service and highly recommend!

I paid in full online, summit my information but then notice that if I had send them my court info documents I had save my self 6 weeks or so. Take a day to gather all your court info and fax it to them… all my process of my felony expungement took about 9-10 months. But be patient and it's so worth it. Yes you can do this yourself but in my case 20 years passed and doing this in less then 1 was like nothing. I am very pleased with the results. I am in Southern California and my felony case was when I was 18 (Marijuana) now I am 42. And after that I never even had a traffic ticket, now a professional in the health department. And happy to clear that of my pass.

I was dealing with a case from 2012. I was trying to get a set aside preformed to obtain occupational licenses. The ads for Record Gone, which is owned by Higbee and Associates, lured me in. I was amazed with the price $800.00 was the price I was given. The person on the phone gives me the impression things will start moving right away. We set up the account. And I wait. I provided Higbee and Associates with all my case information. I send them minute entries. They took a month to do case research. After that I then waited for them to verify eligibility. I waited another month for an update. I emailed them and communicated with a case worker. (Never did I ever hear from the actual attorney I was assigned.) I asked if they had any idea how long it takes to verify eligibility and I was told there is no answer they could give. They said it can vary. I waited another 3 weeks before I hired another attorney. I spent almost 3 months with Higbee and Associates with no progress. The second attorney I hired was much better.
My second attorney contacted me immediately after our contract was signed. I was given my new attorney's cell phone number and contact info. They verified eligibility within a few hours, and they prepared the document within a week. They presented the matter very well and my request was granted within a few days after it was submitted. It took this attorney less than 2 weeks to get my set aside granted. This is normally a three-month process. My second attorney was over 2 and a half times the cost Higbee and associates. I learned you get what you pay for.
I waited before posting this because I wanted to see how it would play out in comparison. I was absolutely amazed with my second attorney. I do think this removes some excuses from Higbee and Associates.
Higbee and associates did reimburse me all but $200.00 which they claim was for case investigation. My second attorney really opened my eyes and helped me see how inappropriate the whole experience was. I waited almost three months, they did not draft anything, and I never once spoke to my lawyer. I am honestly guessing the reason this happens is the fact that they make their money in volume. Since the price was low, which is what lured me in. And they must require a larger volume of cases to pay for the staff and make a profit they feel is appropriate.
At any rate this was the worst experience I have ever had with a law firm. I do not recommend them in any state since it feels like they do not care about their clients. At least that's the impression this whole experience gave me. I am grateful I didn't wait longer before cancelling with them.

Been 2 years now. Still waiting for court date. They say they'll keep in touch but don't. Find a local attorney.

Been well over a year. At one point I actually had to find the right court number and name of the person for them to talk to. After they kept telling me they were waiting for a response from the courts several times I called and found out that was not the case. The courts were waiting on them! Supposedly there was a hearing in January and I still can not find out the results. Definitely would not recommend this place!

Record Gone/Higabee and Assoc was able to get Missouri to grant me an expungement. It did take 16 months to accomplish due to my attorney sending in weakly worded affidavits making the courts ask for more detail and setting another court date. They also did not tell you at the time that the FBI does not recognize a Missouri expungement due to a court case from Wyoming in the early 2000's. The "final packet" I was sent even says that all collateral damage will be removed. So your expungement does not accomplish anything because your conviction will still show up in background checks because the FBI will not remove it even though the FBI says they follow the wording of the state order. They even got me for the expedited clearing service. I haven't passed a background check yet and it has been 6 months simply because the FBI still shows the record and will never remove it because they do not honor the MO expungement judgement. They honor the conviction judgement but do not see a MO expungement as a real expungement. So yes if your case is from MO it is pointless to pursue an expungement until the FBI changes it's position on Missouri court orders.

I did 9/10ths of the work and still don't have any results. Connected with RecordGone around the first of the year and after I finally got my LiveScan done, which my caseworker was on my case about, they haven't provably done anything other than keep parroting, it takes time. Even though I did all of their foot work for them. They won't give any kind of update as to when it will be done. I'm assuming because I asked about it a couple of months in when I got the first non answer from them. Asked for a refund and that was promptly ignored. Basically paid for a service that was never provably done and was given an open window for when it would be done so they can milk this forever. Would not ever spend a dime with them again.
