Terrible company

Been a loyal customer of this company for years. The first time I have an issue with substandard furniture that was delivered by them they refuse to make an exchange. There were multiple issues with the bed and nightstands. The bed was designed longer than a standard queen mattress leaving a 6" open gap at the bottom of the bed! The headboard is so short with a mattress on the bed, pillows get stuck in the gap. Nightstands very poor quality! Drawers are hard to open and close. The handle is too low to reach from the bed. Terrible furniture all the way around.
This is the first time I've had to call customer service with an issue. Their response… once you sign for it you're stuck with it.
I do not recommend Raymour and Flanigan for any furniture whatsoever. They will never have my business again.

Don't buy

I didn't have my leather sectional not 6 months and I started noticing the stitching on the leather was coming apart I paid a Platinum protection plan when I purchased in full and was told any wear and tear would be covered to find out they said it doesn't I would never purchase from them again they furniture are expensive and the quality is cheap I will try to find a attorney cause this is false advertisement.

Sectional couch

We have spent 28k at raymour and Flanigan... ut last purchase was a blue 6 piece sectional. Well after a few weeks of sitting on it my husband an I noticed that it was cause both of us to have lower back pain an im having pain in my right leg so we stayed off couch for a week an the pain in our backs started to go away. I called the store an the lady was so persistent that she can't do nothing we are stuck with it... well that doesn't sound rite... after 28k that's what we get? Well this will go to our lawyer I don't care if it's only 4k for the couch it's the principal that we are loyal customers an have spent lots of cash not credit. An we paid every time for white glove delivery. Lol thats a joke! No gloves no mask... that's there way of dressing the delivery up. Its 2 guys dropping ur furniture off that's all no more no less. If I don't get the service I so much deserve ill let the lawyer handle this an ill leave my reviews on every web site so the people that go to work every day to make a living an go to use that hard earned money to buy things for your homes. Look at that very small fine print... good luck everyone..

I would never recommend them. I purchased a living room set for $5000 2 years ago. I have had issues with it since day one. I was told I could get a replacement for the piece that had all the issues but it was never replaced. They waited until I was out of factory warranty and into my platinum warranty before offering me a credit which has all kinds of restrictions. I also have to pay a new delivery and extended warranty out of my own pocket. Again I have only owned this set for 2 years none of the problems were caused by us. Do not purchase anything from here. It will be a waste of your money. They do not care about the consumer at all and only there bottom line.

I purchased a dining table and chairs in 2022 and it arrived several months later. Almost immediately after receiving the table the top started to chip in several spots. I called within the warranty time frame and a technician came out to "fix" the table which was just coloring in the chips with a marker. We discussed our options with him and he told us since we opened the claim we can either get unlimited repairs or replace the table. Since the repair our table has chipped a lot more and I emailed about a replacement and they are now telling me I am out of warranty. I am extremely upset that I was sold a faulty product (that several other people have said also happened to theirs on the R&F website) and they are refusing to make it right. I was told I can get a replacement table and when I go to get that table they now tell me no. This business is awful.

Last year my husband and I purchased a sofa and loveseat that reclined. Also with our purchase we decided to get the 5 year warranty thank goodness we did. We owned the couches for a total of 11 months but only used the couches for 4 months. In that 4 months 3 out of the 4 recliners broke. We called they sent a technician out they reported but to raymour and let them know so they decided to just give us a re-seclet. We first visited the store on Boston rd nothing we liked we then went to the one on Riverdale dr west springfield found 1 we liked. After driving back and fourth several times wasting time and gas we finally got ahold of a manager who gave us a number to call and deal with the platinum protection plan the woman we dealt her name was Melissa not only was she not nice she was unhelpful. We asked to speak to her boss she said she was the highest person we could speak to. Now I have worked in customer service there's always someone higher but she wouldn't let us to speak to anyone else.

Mattress scam

I purchased a mattress a few days ago. It looks used and sags in the middle. I called to return it because that's what they advertised. They don't do returns or exchanges unless you buy a warranty. I did not. Total BS. DONT DO IT!

It a rip off bought a couch n ottoman the ottoman is fax fur but had choice salesmen said the fur one more elegant n with the protective plan can't go wrong I told him I had dogs oh no problem well 3 years later they tell me not coverd won't come clean it I would have bought the ottoman that matched n would have not matted so now what n the couch 14 buttons have feel off not ripped or broke no was not made well will never but from here again this is the sales person who lied to me

I purchased the platinum plus protection plan for a leather sectional sofa set. I was assured by the sales person that the set was made of a premium quality leather. After a few months, we got some damage on one of the sections. They attempted to fix it, and the repair stood out like a sore thumb. They did replace it, however the section that they brought was also damaged and the delivery man tried to color the scratches with a marker. We did not accept it, and they attempted to deliver three more all of which came damaged from their warehouse. After all these failures, they stopped answering our calls, and now we are living with a $5000 set that has a damage section in it. The leather the set is obviously not made from top quality leather as it appears to damage quite easily.

For a couple of weeks i was looking for a new sofa. I usually go to Value City Furniture which I have for years. I saw a sofa online at Raymour and Flanigan so I went in to the store on W.Ridge road here in Rochester on 5/27/23. As soon as I walked in I was greeted at the door. ( I thought that was nice). I Told the sales rep what I was looking for and he had me follow him downstairs. I was looking to see a Chocolate Sofa with a queen size pull out bed. He says we don't have the Queen sofa on display but we do have a full size one. After sitting on the sofa I felt it was it was comfortable and the cushions were wide. I didn't actually get to see the color i wanted but purchased anyways. After the delivery i was not happy with the color and did question it. I also wasn't happy with how small the actual size was one i got to see it in my Livingroom. So called and spoke to sales rep that same day about the color and was assured it was the right color. 2 days later i called back to return the sofa and what i needed to do and was told i COULD NOT RETURN IT and THAT THEY HAVE A NO RETURN POLICY. Unbelievable. So now i am stuck with a 1400$ Sofa that i do not like. I will never buy anything from here again and your "No Return Policy" is a bunch of s***.

I've ordered mattresses and box springs relying on manager's advice. He gave me an approximate price, which I approved. Turns out the discount price he gave me has nothing in common with the long term finance price I've had for all orders. He was aware that I've chose a long term, but hadn't mention that this is not applicable to this items. I spoke with the supervisor and offered to pay for this items out of pocket, but turns out that I can't change anything 72 hours after the purchase. Also the recliner I purchased is not that comfortable as a floor sample, and the box springs were 9" with the high bed(also purchased same place) and high mattresses, so we were not able to use them, but when I was trying to return I was told that no returns on this items, finally agreed on replacing. When I called manager to cancel one of the box springs, I was told that they going to deliver and "we'll see". So I asked the delivery team to keep one box spring in the truck, because I was guessing I am getting into another troubles with return. So beware, the company is full of surprises. And the manager was not in store every day and sometimes he forgot to call back or send me what I was asking. Thank you Watchung store for the lesson, will never use you again. Never,never,never order from the store. Use Internet instead. This guys are just making money and never do anything for you.

I purchased all new furniture for the first floor of my home along with the extra 5 year Platinum Coverage Warranty in 2021. Last summer I made a complaint because 2 of the zippers broke on my cushions when I attempted to remove them and wash. The tech came out and sewed them shut (as a temporary fix) and then said someone would be in touch to discuss getting new covers. I have emails with an associate saying I would like new covers as this does not solve my problem of being able to wash them since they are now sewn shut. He again says someone will be in touch. NOTHING FOR MONTHS! I speak with customer service at the store and they say since my couch is longer available there is nothing they can do now. I still have 3 more years on my warranty and no one can help me. This is unacceptable. Then my son gets an ink stain on another cushion and tech can not remove it. Again they say someone will be in touch. NOTHING for weeks. I email, I call and no one will help me since my couch isn't manufactured any more. Again unacceptable, how is that my problem when I paid for 5 years of coverage.

Raymour & Flanigan, has ZERO customer service care, rude employees and those that are willing to help have no idea as to what's going on.
Their accounting department is the worst I've ever been in contact with.
They owed me $65.00 for brackets that was sold to me knowing I wouldn't need them after stating "they may be needed but just in case they're not, then have the delivery person call and return them for a full refund" it took them three months and with me having to call them every week sometimes two or three times a week. I only just got a check today in the mail after they asked for the last four digits on my card.
It took them three, yes three months to give me $65.00 back for their error.
I'm done with them and would not let anyone associated w/me do business w/them bcuz they're dishonest and c/s staff rude.

Defective Lovseat

I had purchased a microfiber loveseat from Raymour & Flanigan last summer from my niece who happens to work in their Farmingdale store. Last night, while lying down on the loveseat, I heard a crack, followed by both seat cushions sinking towards the backrest. While I haven't turned the loveseat upside down, it appears that the wooden crosspiece running across the loveseat broke resulting in the cushions that were supported by it to collapse. At shortly after 10:00 AM, I called the Randolph Service Center, telling them what had happened and asking if Raymour would repair the defective and now broken crosspiece free of charge. Since the 12 month warranty expired in July, I was told that I had to incur the repair expense. Having been a former employee, I asked if an accommodation could be made and Raymour fix the defect free of charge. I was told that her supervisor would contact me. Nine and a half hours later, there was no call. Five hours after I called the Randolph Service Center, I both emailed the company and called customer service, only to receive no response. While technically Raymour & Flanigan may be well within their rights, I will put the loveseat on the curb before I pay for gross negligence in craftsmanship. Furthermore, as I stated in my email, I was going to shop at Raymour & Flanigan, as well as their competitors for my mother, who is in need of a dinette set and a sofa and/or loveseat for her new place at an assisted living center as of November 1. It goes without saying that if Raymour and Flanigan refuses to pay for the shoddy workmanship that was sold to me, they are not worthy of my or my family's business. As a former customer service manager who always attempted to have service exceed expectations and to not be penny wise and pound foolish, Raymour & Flanigan failed on both counts.

The best way to counter sacrosanct and unyielding selling policies Is to let these companies understand, in no uncertain terms, that the failure to address consumers needs will result in a loss of business.

Your staff is lier

I got a call from a gentleman stating that the chair that was supposed to be delivered to me was on a truck to be delivered on Saturday October 15 2022 but he said he would call me back if it came in on the last truck before 4 pm he called me back and said it did come in and it will be delivered on the 15 between 12 and 3 on the morning of delivery a person called me from the Nanuet New York store and told me it wouldn't be delivered to because it didn't come in on the truck who is the lier I complain to the Better Business Bureau and store needs more reliable people who is honest to the customers
