The overall reputation of Quora appears to be declining, with numerous customers expressing dissatisfaction about the platform's moderation policies and perceived bias in content removal. Many users reported experiences of censorship, particularly regarding political views, leading to frustrations over a lack of open dialogue. Despite these concerns, some users still appreciate Quora for its diverse range of topics and the opportunity to engage with a global audience. However, the prevalence of scams and low-quality content has raised significant concerns about the platform's integrity and reliability, suggesting a need for improved moderation and user support.

I really liked this site. No one warned me and I put much effort to create high value content there. Then, one day, I got banned just because questioning some western leftist agenda. Keep away from this site. It's pure evil.
I've seen porn, human corpses, articles on weapon possession, war casualties. I post one rebuttal to someone who inferred the Ukrainians staged the entire devastation occurring now and get blocked? I used one word that may have been offensive, just one. Quora is garbage.
Sorry for my harsh language, but this site is nothing but a steaming pile of hot $#*!. It disgusts me that sites like this exist. The moderation team deserves to be put down. Thank you
I would give Quora a rating of zero if I could. The site is full of Russian and Chinese trolls. They will post anything including one lie after another. Yet if you respond in any tone other then Quora's "Be Nice" policy, Quora will remove your reply and even ban you. This policy is used to overwhelmingly single out Americans and abuse them. I will find out and boycott all businesses that support Quora and suggest others do the same. I have deleted my Quora profile and will block anything from Quora and suggest others do the same. Enough of their garbage!
Quora really is a waste of time and symbolic of all the negative things about the internet today and the way the net has disintegrated as useful tool for information. Quite simply if Quora disagrees with what you put it removes it regardless of supporting evidence. One can only conclude that the site exists to push a fixed political viewpoint rather than be tool for leaning or discussion. It hides behind the " Hate speech " excuse to remove anything or anybody at anytime.
Give it a miss if you have any intention of using the net for education.
I have never found more mysogynistic commentary and responses encouraged and congratulated on any other online site. Quora is a dangerous place for young women to explore answers. When I flagged some extremely violent/mysogynistic posts, I was kicked off. What they are doing should be illegal or posted as hate crimes.
Quora like many other social media outlets is extremely liberally bias, has moderators that ban for anything they disagree with even when its not at all offensive or even factual, they will ban you for putting for information that goes against their narrative. Extremely bad site run by mostly leftist moderators with power trips turning the forum into a propaganda machine for their own personal beliefs that is making the site increasingly useless which is sad because it has so much potential being ruined by the fringe losers who have pathetic enough lives to moderate everything they disagree with either because they have nothing else to do and must somehow justify their jobs, or they have no life outside of social media. If you want to get the vibe of the website just think Twitter except with a longer attention span.
Was somewhat sketchy before (one had to independently verify the credentials of contributors; some posts looked authoritative but were actually opinion pieces), but since monetization has become garbage.
A swirling pit of pseudo-intellectuals, alt-right morons, out-of-touch old people, and outright liars. I would hazard a guess that around 70% of questions are clearly loaded and biased political questions that everyone with two brain cells to run together and an EQ over 7 already knows the answer to and that are only posted in a pathetic attempt to feel vindicated for holding a completely backwards view. Other than that there's people asking nonsense questions about who would win in a fight between two fictional characters from entirely different forms of media, how to do basic tasks, kids too lazy to cheat on their homework the old fashioned way, people, thinly veiled insults against political pundits and calls to action for some nonsense that isn't actually happening, and maybe 5% actually legitimate questions looking for legitimate answers.
The answers are even better. Any question having to do with guns, self-defense, crime, race, sexuality, gender or anything else of that sort will almost instantly result in a berth of anecdotes that clearly never happened from people definely not trying to prop up some conservative viewpoint or regurgitating right-wing talking points that they most certainly didn't hear from an ill-informed conspiracy theorist's podcast. That or they just use it as an excuse to show everyone why their kids don't talk to them anymore. The cries of "censorship" and "powermad moderators" are really slaying me because if Quora staff was actually intentionally scrubbing any and all hateful, harmful, bigoted, or unpleasant rhetoric and misinformation (and the proponents of it) from the site, I'd estimate there would be about 60 people left on the site. It's not even good for fans of aspects of culture to use as a discussion board because it almost always devolves into pedantic squabbling until someone brings up something political and the whole question explodes.
Quora is a bad site populated almost entirely by awful people that only serves a function by somehow being 40 different echo chambers in one place. Sorta like Reddit but somehow much worse. Don't use it, even for its intended purpose. If you have an actual question about something, you'd probably be better off opening your window and screaming it into the night, at least then you can see the idiot who just confidently gave you the wrong answer with your own eyes and there's an almost 0 chance that it's going to somehow end up transforming into a 100+ comment chain about someone lamenting why white people can't say racial slurs.
PS. I've read through about 50 other 1-star reviews, the fact that you people are confused as to why you were banned would be funny were it not so disheartening.
You have to dig deep to find anything worth seeing or reading on Quora. That's because there's so much advertising in the feed, advertising embedded in questions, people asking stupid and redundant questions just to keep their space active, etc. You can forget about making new friends or sharing anything important.
A lot of right wing people complain here that they are targeted. The reality is they just complain more. I am left leaning and got suspended from Quora for no discernible reason. They claimed I had multiple accounts but two of us in the same house used Quora. When we explained the situation, they restored my account. Then two weeks later it happened again and this time we were both banned for life. No option, no appeal, just taken out by their stupid, inept AI.
Avoid Quora no matter what your political stripes are, the platform is very badly run and draconian. Don't waste your time.
"Feelings don't care about your facts" should seriously be the new Quora slogan lol. Quora's so-called "moderators" are truly the biggest snowflakes I've ever seen on the internet. A statement as harmless and inoffensive as "women nag more often than men" and that "women possibly enjoy nagging" is enough to get these snowflake moderators to be all up in arms, calling it "hate speech" and a "violation against the site's rules." Quora moderators take PC culture and sensitivity to a whole different level that I never thought was even possible. Saying "the sky is blue" or "birds have wings" is probably already enough to trigger these snowflake mods, and could get you perma-banned. It's safe to say that free speech is basically non-existent in Quora. The whole site is basically just one big "anti-free speech" and "PC/liberal answers only" site, and anything that you say that is remotely conservative or slightly offensive, will get you permanently banned or close to being banned from the site.
Oh and that whole "be nice, be respectful policy" is complete nonsense. It's just a convenient way for the mods to silence any answers that they disagree with. On Quora, only one side of an argument is allowed to talk, while people who have a different stance on the issue has to "shut up" and get banned. This site is so biased it's not even funny. Do yourself a favor, and stay far far away from this site. If you want answers to questions, look elsewhere.
Quora is among the most toxic of the social media sites. Maybe aside from Twitter. At least of Twitter, though, you have actual experts and not just woke culture running cancel game on reality.
Stay away.
Quora is unfortunately not a Q and A site as much as it claims - I am currently banned for 'hate speech' because I posted two screenshots of mainstream articles (Yossef diary was even made into a movie) by Teddy Katz and Yossef Nachmani which describe eye witness accounts of Jewish massecres against Palestinian villagers.
I recently reported a Quora space in which far right racists were posting pictures of serious assaults and injuries inflicted on white people and blaming these attacks on African Americans.
After performing reverse image searches every claimed victim turned out to be victims of neighbours, domestic violence and robbery, none of which occurred in the US and none of which were attributed to African Americans.
This space on Quora is instigating hatred against African Americans based on lies and misinformation and could potentially lead to violence against innocent people but Quora took no apparent action instead preferring to ban me for posting some accepted history.
Make of that what you will. Look elsewhere imo.
Quora is not a place for discussion or debate of people's perspectives or ideas, so don't expect to really learn anything here or to get a variety of perspectives on a topic. If you happen to disagree with someone who is too fragile to handle an opinion or perspective different from their own, they can easily have your comment deleted by the moderators, who won't bother to confirm whether or not the comment is actually in violation of any of the site's policies. Why waste your time posting thoughtful dissenting opinions just to have them thoughtlessly deleted? And if you can't interact with others' posts, then why bother using the site at all?
They censor everything i say. They are evil. Some questions post. But if i try to correct someone, comment vanishes.
The site is unbelievably useless. I am glad I did not purchase from them. Pay walling answers is monetary sensorship. What is worse is that pay walled answers are not their content it is user content that is popular.
The amount of emails you get from this site in one day is outrageous and they deliberately made the unsubscribe feature dubious and difficult with a requirement to visit many unlinked sections to turn off emails.
I was the victim of a scam with swiss union and lost over $60,00.00 and hackerpol said they could help with a small fee of $600. So I thought if they could help me get back my money I would pay them.
Well I paid the $600 and they promised me that the money would be in my account by end of day. Then they asked for more money for a faster software I gave it to them. They promised me on their life that they would have the money in by the end of the night. Again promised me on his life that the money would be in my account. Then it was they needed more money because their software wouldn't work so they needed another $300 I gave it to them and again promised me on his life the money would be in my account within the hour. Yet again asked me for more money said the software was to slow and it would take 3 days to get into my account i said fine it takes 3 days, he said you don't understand we need another $300 dollars for a faster software. I lost my $#*!. I said you had no intentions of giving me my money all you do is take peoples money. Nothing but a bunch of lying thieves. He kept saying no I promise no more money after this. I told him no more money. He said fine it will be 3 Days before you get your money. Then he said the recovery team will be in touch to send our money. The recovery team got in touch alright. They told me that in order for me to get my money I had to pay them $5000. 00 then they would send your money. He said that was just for the software not the transfer I was never told about this because I never would have paid them a dime because I no longer have that kind of money. He said their bad. So you pay me now or no money. All these people do is prey on innocent people and lie through their teeth so they can steal your money. I lost another $1200 because i yet again trusted the wrong people. Hackerpol is a scam they will continue to steal from people unless they are stopped. Please for the love of god don't trust any hackers to help you all they will do is steal from you and lie. I hope to god this helps someone from getting scammed by Hackerpol.
Hijacks your account
An upleasant feature. Hijacks your account and don't let your easily delete the automatically created account. Sucks!
Quora moderators decide whether to keep your answers on their site or not. Even if the answer does not have any bad stuff, or insulting stuff in it. It's more of a site for dictators, and not for people who decide things for themselves. It's a bad site. Don't waste your time.
Answer: Yes, the questions about penis size and virginity seems to sponsor endless discussion!
Answer: Because Google put Quora answers at the top of their search results when people search for a question they see the answer from Quora. Which is stupid because most answers on Quora aren't even correct lol. Idk why Google wants to promote that site, if they own it or they want to buy it and incorporate it into Google at some point. I think the site is awful and it should be shut down because it's just a propaganda site. You do not see Quora from any other search engine for example duckduckgo. But you see it in Google.
Answer: No, it is obviously leftist but it does on occasion allow questions or replies for short periods of time that are obviously uncomfortable to the "politicaly correct" crowd in a useless attempt to appear unbiased.
Answer: I honestly feel and highly suspect from certain traits that Quora pays Google to be high on the rank and they get *buddy buddy* with the government. Quora is essentially too big to fail. We no longer have capitalism but now live under governmentism which Trump pledges to end but can he? Does he really mean what he says? That is the million $ question.
