The overall reputation of Quora appears to be declining, with numerous customers expressing dissatisfaction about the platform's moderation policies and perceived bias in content removal. Many users reported experiences of censorship, particularly regarding political views, leading to frustrations over a lack of open dialogue. Despite these concerns, some users still appreciate Quora for its diverse range of topics and the opportunity to engage with a global audience. However, the prevalence of scams and low-quality content has raised significant concerns about the platform's integrity and reliability, suggesting a need for improved moderation and user support.

Quora used to be great. Now, if you're not very selective in choosing topics to look at, it's a cesspool of idiots asking the most ridiculous questions in the hopes of earning pennies from some stupid Quora partner program that has done nothing but attract loser trolls by the thousands.
" Is engine coolant the same as engine oil? Can you use engine oil as coolant?"
" Do ladies become pregnant while breastfeeding?"
" What is fire extinguishment, how is it done, and why?"
" What is a 80-square-foot bathroom?"
Just a few mild examples of the stupidity you'll encounter. I could show you thousands of similar posts. Many of them far dumber than these.
The Quora mods seem to thrive on ignoring these idiots. However, they will gladly censor people when they aren't "nice" to the trolls. Good luck if you decide to subject yourself to the steaming pile of dog crap called Quora.
It should become regulated better and have better automated processes, but has fallen susceptible to, and regressed to, the standard of 1 star leftwing propaganda websites with bots and 1-way regressive views
Quora advertised as a higher quality place that offers a wide range of topics to discuss in an 'ask question/post answers/comments' format.
It 'used' to be a good platform but has increasingly become susceptible to propaganda and people who can't take a 'intellectual loss'; there is no point if you can't always shut down a person in argument scientifically/using facts, and you can disguise any smart/winner as 'hatespeech' that needs removal.
The biggest point: you will get punished for being smarter, and faster unlike in real life. By people who are mostly mentally $#*!ed, or cheaters, and suffer Dunning Kruger. By thinking they were 'fighting fascism', they usually censor like a fascist and infiltrate without knowing they are the cause of the quality decrease.
But I give 2 stars because, there are other topics, and it somewhat functions. The censorship is mostly caused by 'the people' and 'lack of regulation', if there are truly trolls and shutins who can't tolerate real facts, mostly leftwingers from the US, it's sort of their fault, and their fault for being susceptible to their cheating and facism tactics.
However, I think these people should be tracked and given a sortof 'lowered quality' status based on removing lengthy posts that withstood argument and criticism, only because they disagree with the facts. (I've also had years old comments, mostly won debates, suddenly removed as hatespeech)
They give a small pat on the back and punish for 'actual logic/skill' at times and don't ever change biased decisions made by moderators, so, that can't be forgiven.
I don't think any platform should 'reward' cheaters and failures whether it's online or not (for reporting to the 'thought police'), so it otherwise deserves 1 star, 2 for the simple ability to ask/answer questions on other topics that could be helpful.
I posted on Quora off and on for several years. Occasionally I would find useful information and enjoy comments from others, but many of the comments there come from folks who post pointless questions like, "Why are cats cute?", or come from those who are into intellectual posturing. My biggest gripe concerned comment moderation, which I feel is biased. Here's an example. I have an interest in military history, artifacts, uniforms, music, etc., from all periods. In response to a comment left by someone else, I replied that it was totally possible to aesthetically appreciate the uniforms, medals, ceremonies, pomp, banners, and other things connected to the Third Reich, while at the same time hating Hitler and everything that he and the Nazis stood for. My comment was removed as "hate speech", which is nonsense. Some little fluff bunny mod or reader got "offended". I subsequently terminated my Quora account. Quora is a joke. It claims to foster "civil discourse", doesn't delete some comments that do violate their policies if they come from a certain socio-political perspective, and does remove comments that violate absolutely nothing. Quora and its cancelling minions at their headquarters in Cal. Can go pound sand.
The site is just terrible. All bots and communists
If you say anything that goes against the left the responses or removals are so fast it has to be a BOT site
Quora had a very left wing bias. I thought is may be improving by adding spaces for GOP {Yes it is a valid political party and not made of monsters!}. Then I posted a comment about racial matters. I said and I quote:
"You know I moved to Costa Rica. Nobody get worried about these terms. People are too busy working. Americans are too rich and spoiled"
This was said to be "Hate Speech". Where is the hate? The worst thing is "spoiled". Not really hatred but an opinion. After that I closed my account with them.
Love quora. Very useful and even better than Reddit. You can get paid to publish content if people like your content.
They take away your free speech, don't allow you to have CREATIVE names and there's LOOONG, irrelevant answers. Quota mods, SHUT YOUR WEBSITE DOWN. SHUT EVERYTHING THAT BELONGS TO YOUR QUORA SITE DOWN! I HATE YOUR QUORA SITE, I HATE QUORA'S CREATOR, I HATE EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO WORKS FOR QUORA!
Jesus Christ where to start. The company does not care that people go around spreading false information and stating that their opinion is the only true path. There's a dude on their arguing ghost aren't real from a few years ago and has zero sources to back up his claims. The company will probably ignore my harassment report, even though the guy has zero sources and is calling anyone and everyone basically dumba$$es on the site since his opinion is supposedly right…
... and heaven help you if you correct American User's narrow, ignorant and sometimes incredibly racist worldview.
If you tell them that US laws and customs do not apply beyond their borders, it's as if you decided to shoot the cast of Sesame Street and livestream the disembowelment of Elmo. Never, EVER tell the users that their myopic worldview in incorrect.
Oh, and #BeKind means "Do not challenge me, not correct me, because my feelings means more than facts presented".
Don't waste your time.
The sit says they basically allow debates & things but they don't! If you point out a liar & have the proof that person lied, they still remove your answer/comment for being "rude"! If you mention someone is wear a hat or what ever the way it wasn't designed, you get you answer/comment removed for "hate speech"! I have seen many answers/comments on here where they use the F word & it gets left up!
This site is based & was started by a progressive Californian! They only protect progressive views & censor anyone who is down the middle or right leaning! Censorship is never a good thing!
Quora blocked me for defending the hate against my country. Fake news at its finest. Maybe they should partner up with Fox.
But if you insult Obama or the far left you get banned. I get banned for saying a word or saying something about Liberals however animal abuse, bashing the poor, the homeless, disabled veterans, people who lost their parents, people without friends is okay
I doubt q u o r a will last. The anonymous questions are going to someday lead danger.
So who knows
Plagued by extreme left-wing human garbage who worship communism and want to suck Chinese government's balls. They praise Chinese dictatorship, defend the disgusting censorship in China, overlook every horrible thing Chinese communism has done, $#*! on every country that is not their master race China whenever they get chance. They "prove" their statements with nothing more than ridiculous misinformation, fake news and data, lies over lies, and receive thousands of upvotes from brain dead and brainwashed idiots. For example, once saw a question asking "Who would win if America and China start war" (Don't get started on what kind of low iq and stupid this question is), and the guy with most upvoted "answer" as 5k $#*!s support him says "DeFIniTElY ChINa", with him pulling more false information and literally lies from his as to support his master, China. Also, if you say anything bad about communism, prepare to be disgusted by butt hurt left wing psychopaths or actually brainwashed Chinese brats.
I have been using Quora for the last four-and-a-half years, and I have garnered several million views in that time, and let me tell you, the platform is more pathetic and degrading than ever before.
1) You have users who will post names and make false accusations agaist anybody they do not like, which can, and does, include making death threats and other disgusting remarks that are crossing into criminal acts. Quora's moderators are completely silent about this, and yet users who write normal posts about anything from military history to cooking are having their content routinely collapsed or deleted.
2) Quora evidently wants to become the next Facebook, so what do they do? They make it so that users who post answers related to sex and celebrities have a good chance of getting thousands of upvotes and six-digit views. Meanwhile, users such as myself can spend several hours of our lives writing a well-researched post, and if Quora does not come along and delete/collapse the answer, you are still unlikely to break three-digit views, and even less likely to break four-digit. What is the point of spending this amount of time if Quora is going to just censor or shuffle down anything they do not like?
3) The community on that site is more toxic, hateful, imprudent, and stupid than the YouTube comment section by miles. An irony, seeing as the latter never made a pretense to being an intellectual site.
If you are reading this, and you are either thinking of joining or returning... don't do it.
It is NOT worth the trouble.
Quora is just another clickbait time killer website, you can't express yourself freely there's huge censorship and a biased pile of info that only is there cause its moderators have their egos shinned. Keep out of that site, not useful. They block things that they believe are against THEIR truth and keep what they believe even it's not reliable.
Clickbait trash website. Quora PLUS LMFAOOO. I love how disgusting some places have become. Infected with all the trashy ideas of neediness)))
I'm probably beating a deadhorse by now but I just feel I need to say something. Quora isn't what most people think it is. The site have lost many of its good writers, and what's left in there are teenagers, shills, sellouts for internet fame and adults who seriously have nothing better to do. I will make a bet Quora users are akin to other internet forums like Reddit, which are mostly strangers with free time. But because of the premise the site promised to the users about knowledge and other bull$#*! like that, it makes people think their opinions matter more than they really are. Ie people misconstrue their opinion as knowledge, merely because they posted it on Quora instead of Twitter. And then these opinions can get a lot of views, upvotes, sometimes for no good reason at all, socially validating what might be a totally wrong information.
If you are a newcomer, beware of getting addicted and spending hours on end surfing the site, getting subconsciously brainwashed by the people there. If you've watched The Social Dilemma, you'll understand me. Quora is definitely no different than other social media (ps I'm actually surprised they didn't include this site on the documentary). The amount of misinformation is unbelievable, and it can be difficult to know whether you're reading a correct or wrong answer. This is because the site's stupid rules of BNBR, you can't debunk someone else's answer when they're blatantly wrong because it's "not nice". Such a way to run a site dedicated for knowledge, I think I'm going to barf.
And a sewer-haven for despicable people. I had my IDENTITY stolen, and a credit card hacked. BEWARE!
Quora.com allows real people to discuss a wide variety of real topics. It's very informative and authentic. I absolutely love it. Thank you.
Full of fakes profiles and black supremacists like Fanciose Marie and related individuals and groups that spread false science, history and racist anti Semetic and European propaganda. Should be reported to FBI and NSA as extremist website full of domestic terrorists
Answer: Yes, the questions about penis size and virginity seems to sponsor endless discussion!
Answer: Because Google put Quora answers at the top of their search results when people search for a question they see the answer from Quora. Which is stupid because most answers on Quora aren't even correct lol. Idk why Google wants to promote that site, if they own it or they want to buy it and incorporate it into Google at some point. I think the site is awful and it should be shut down because it's just a propaganda site. You do not see Quora from any other search engine for example duckduckgo. But you see it in Google.
Answer: No, it is obviously leftist but it does on occasion allow questions or replies for short periods of time that are obviously uncomfortable to the "politicaly correct" crowd in a useless attempt to appear unbiased.
Answer: I honestly feel and highly suspect from certain traits that Quora pays Google to be high on the rank and they get *buddy buddy* with the government. Quora is essentially too big to fail. We no longer have capitalism but now live under governmentism which Trump pledges to end but can he? Does he really mean what he says? That is the million $ question.
