Quora used to be a good website for questions, answers and social interaction. Now it's a troll breeding ground, full of racism, bigotry, misinformation, conspiracy hacks, pedophiles, sexual deviants, religious and political extremists, and online scammers. There is no longer human moderation. While there are still good people who regularly go there, they are being swamped by negative personalities and posts.

I used to get directed to Quora occasionally when posing an online query and found it quite useful.
Recently I was directed there and was dismayed by some of the distasteful images and comments that were unrelated to the subject matter I was looking for. I really can't take Quora seriously now because it seems to be a platform for some rather disturbed contributors.

I advice you to never make an account cause it will push you with emails 24/7. If you unsubscribe from the emails, it will just automatically set itself to subscribed.

There are people masquerading as Republicans talking about killing liberals in order to stir controversy. This was the final straw for me. Someone threatening violence while pretending to be their opposition is pathetic and dangerous. I can't participate in such a hate filled vitriolic forum. It has no place and needs to be shut down.

The site is nothing but propaganda, lies, and misinformation spread by the left. If you say anything against them 100 bot accounts attack you. It's funny how liberals are always the people without lives that spend way too much time on the internet. Think Quora, Reddit, 4chan. All the same

Allows people to call others the r word and other dehumanizing words to describe people who are disabled or different. Like all these tech spaces, they thrive off hate.

I have been an active writer on Quora since 2023.
Unfortunately, the sheer amount of trolling questions has significantly diminished the quality of the content being produced, with authors wasting their time answering mass spammers completely uninterested in genuine answers.
Furthermore, the platform had many revamp that favor legacy answers.
Moreover, questions get collapsed without warning or reason. Basically, our answers get marked as needing revision, but there's no warning nor means to appeal the situation.
It is very frustrating to invest a couple of hours writing high-quality articles - citing one's sources such as official governmental statistics, professional books, and academic papers - yet ending up having no visibility at all.

Yet, my answer was downvoted and collapsed after I left a comment on (very megalomaniac with a God-Complex) OP's answer to his own question suggesting that his answer was biased.

Finally, I must admit that I am very frustrated at moderation answering neither my multiple business recommendations nor my complaints over the years (I have post-graduate education in management science in marketing)...
Please, do not waste your time or your intellectual property on this private corporation.

Its mostly sarcastic rhetorical questions that imply every democrat political position is good and virtuous and every republican position is evil and stupid. Its a left wing self congratulating echo chamber circle jerk. Do not expect any real, logical, factual answers from this site. Science has left the building and feelings reign supreme.

The site very unprofessional. There are plenty of all troll users on there who post ridiculous and offensive questions, and answers. Also, the moderators are hopeless, for allowing these kinds of people to post. Not to mention, 2 weeks for an account deletion, only for them to not actually delete your account, is unacceptable.

Quora's support team takes ages to respond, doesn't give a $#*! about you, does nothing about the unfunny trolls, allows stupid answers, etc.

My rating is not going to the credibility to the answers they offer but to the fact they must be desperate for viewers because of all their darn emails. I had to cancel my account with them and boy was that a jungle. I think they try their best to keep you on. Once I did manage to cancel my account and demanded that they stop sending me emails guess what, they started sending me emails to rate their customer service on how they helped me to cancel my account! They are a joke a real joke!

If you ask enough questions, for long enough, using as many iterations as you can dream up, pull together enough living breathing humans to think up new ways to ask and answer questions over a very long period of time...you still won't have an AI system capable of emulating human behavior and thought. But that's what Quora is trying to do and failing at it big time. It's not a place to share life experiences. It's a place where they are constantly trying to accumulate enough human input to create an AI system that will be capable of deceptively answering human questions. Sorry Quora but you failed. Your site is full of deceptive, false, ignorant (beyond belief) content that does not promote a better understanding of the world at all. It promotes ignorance and racism. Your AI moderators are a joke. Your administrators are another joke. I will have none of it.

Everything I post is considered false. Nobody except a few people ever looks up facts before insulting the ones who actually do.

Use quora at your own detriment. You will be exposing yourself to mental discrimination if you use quora. Your answers get flagged unjustly while scammer openly advertise their scam. The appeal does nothing. Shameful

I've recently been censored by Quora. I can no longer post any answers, any question, nor add anything to my Quora space. This was done without notification nor explanation. I have spent much time posting well thought out and researched answers that my many followers appreciate. The only reason I can think of as to why Quora would censor me is that they do not like someone who can rationally demonstrate why a conservative opinion is correct and a liberal opinion is false. Heaven forbid!; we allow only the conservative loons who can easily be dissmissed. I've written numerous extensive answers with sources noted where nobody could criticize any claim, fact, or source and yet, the answer would receive very few upvotes. There are lots of answers that are simply ridiculous absurd attacks on conservatives that violate Quora's policies, yet are allowed to stand and have thousands of upvotes. Quora is grossly biased.

I would give Quora ZERO stars if I could. This website is filled with drama, spam, and nudity. I only signed up because I wanted to help give answers to questions about topics that people don't know about. All Ive seen so far is people being bullied because of their race, body type, sexuality, and for having different opinions about certain topics. I have also seen people arguing back and forth about things that are not that important. Finally, I've seen people using Quora as a way to hook up and posting nude pictures of themselves. People lack the knowledge that there are certain individuals that use Quora that shouldn't even be seeing trash like that, and people who just don't care to see that either. PS: I also want to bring up the fact that Quora moderators and customer support doesn't do anything about certain things (harassment, bullying, nudity). They just don't care about anything that goes on with Quora. My recommendation: Don't Use Quora
