When I first got qlink service, they data stopped working. They tried to fix it by telling me to put a bunch of codes in the settings and that basically broke the mobile data function. They didn't know how to fix it so they left it unresolved. A couple months later, they started pushing a discount tablet on me. I ordered it 5 months ago. When I ordered it, I got no verification the order went through so i thought it was just a hiccup in their crap website and it didn't work. Whatever. 5 months later, I move to tucson. A few days after that I got an email telling me the tablet was delivered but it was delivered to the old address. The tablet was then lost and could not be retrieved. I called the post office, amazon, and qlink to help and nobody would. I called qlink and the lady was argumentative and talking over me. I told them I wanted to cancel my service several times and the lady was just trying to get me to tech support to fix my data. I told them if they can't fix it, i'm canceling my service. Anyway when I got to tech support the guy told me to put a bunch of codes in the settings again and everything he told me to do didn't work, after a while, he told me that data should start working in 48 hours and told me some technical mumbo jumbo about cell phone towers. I am past the 48 hour mark and the is still no data. When he first told me the 48 hour thing I was skeptical. Now I realize he lied to me to get me off the phone. I will be canceling my service next month. I do not recommend this fly-by-night business to anyone.
For a high level management that an take care of the issue. Please contact me at my qlink number. I was on the phone with one of your representatives. I told them my issue. I have previously called about it before. It is not resolved. Your representative choose to stop talking to me completely. I was not cussing them out or being Rude directly at them. I am an upset customer. This situation that I have been placed in is not right. I do look for some sort of repremandation not necessarily a fire but definitely some kind of coaching. Especially because I asked for a manager and the associate still continue to remain quiet and not get me to a manager.
This is by far the worst phone service/provider out there. There is no customer service to contact for help. Being on disability you must have a working phone for emergencies. Qlink makes sure to make it hard on you so you dont have a working phone. It is impossible to contact them. The new sims card they send you doesn't even work. Dont waste your time with them. Even if its free. Not worth it. Not recommended. I just threw my qlink phone in the trash. Not worth another second of my time.
My cell service goes out all of the time. When my service goes out there is no way to live chat tech support as Qlink or QSTINK does not have live chat! It was an emergency and I was not able to call out. Do not use this service! It's not worth the free service if it doesn't work.
I went with Qlink and it was all good for the first month. Then I couldn't make any phone calls from certain areas, I went to stay with friends in Michigan couldn't get or make any calls. It was bad all the way around.
No good at all just got run around and couldn't or didn't want to assist me got sent defective tablet and wouldn't make Right customer service is a joke I cancelled my service and it's still active I want it cancel

Now recycling which will serve a better purpose then it ever did as a tablet! I am on SSI & receive ebt. I put in an application 3 months ago which they claimed was approved. I have called in many times during this time only to be told by many different agents that my application was approved & in process. I call in today & I am told that I need to send in proof of income which I have done already by email.
I previously signed up for Assurance which only took 3 to 4 days to receive the SIM Card unfortunately it didn't work well in my area which is why I applied for qlink because I had heard it had better coverage.
If you are someone that is eligible for any of these programs I would highly suggest Assurance because qlink is a joke.
Purchased a phone in June. Sim card would not link to network so a new phone was supposed to be shipped to replace it. It's almost October and still no
Phone. The excuse is always " It's in queue at Amazon and the pandemic has things backed up".
I have asked to have my money refunded as I have gone elsewhere to purchase a phone and have been promised my money back in five business days three times without success. This IS NOT a good business to deal with.
Completely fraudulent. Lures you in with an offer of a free tablet, which they have no intention of sending. Then completely botches sending out the phones, which the consumer has to pay for, and are rude when you phone them to inquire.
Have been using a FREE phone from Qlink on the lifeline program for a few years. Not the greatest quality - but as another review FREE is free and it serves my needs. But on 03.22/2021 I received an email offer to upgrade to a new smartphone with 5G service. Since my screen was craked anyway and I was thinking of ordering a new phone, I thought it sounded like a GREAT offer. Signed up and was sent via email was given a confirmation number and told the phone would ship in 7-10 business days. Six month later STILL NO PHONE. Over that past 6 months I have inquired via phone and email and got told everything from there was NO PHONE ever ordered despite having a confirmation number to 15 days ago being told that the order was in process and would ship in 10 days. Today, 09/27/2021, Guess what the automated system says it is in process and will ship in 10 days but the LIVE person says the PHONE WILL NOT SHIP BECAUSE THE OFFER HAS EXPIRED! What kind of garbage is that? I ask you would you call that good service? I have emailed them tonight - Don't expect to hear from them to resolve the issue. I have filed a complaint with the BBB - but know that will do no good and now this rant. I just want to warn EVERYONE stay away from Qlink
I've been waiting 5 months for my new phone. They now have told me they ran out of phones n I'm $#*! outta luck, sorry. My phone has been broken for over a yr. There is NO customer service w there customer service
You get what you pay for. Being on food stamps I was signed up. Everything worked fine until my log in information did not match theirs. Then my phone was stolen and I tried to log in. Good luck with that. Tried their help line. Ran around in an automated circle. Spent hours trying to get through. I honestly think that they have no real person to assist you. I even wrote a letter to their Dania, Florida office. No response. After two weeks I did a review search and realized I'm never going to get my issues resolved so I switched to another carrier. They are the absolute worst hands down

So, while I was messing around on my phone at 2am I accidentally hit the, Sim card locked, toggle which locked me out of my phone. I restarted my phone and it says that I need to have the PUK... Huh?. I had no idea what that was and had never heard of it before now. I realized that I needed to contact Qlink but had to wait for 3 hours because of their hours. Fast forward to 5:15am.
I went through the usual, press this press that. So after 6 minutes I actually got a life dude. Indian, of course, but actually spoke English, well. I explained my problem. He was had me on hold for about 4 minutes. He came back and said that Qlink didn't have the PUKs because they don't lock BYOPs... But, because he had worked for another company wanted me to try two numbers that he remembered from there... His second number worked...(yes)... This guy saved me from being locked out until I got a new Sim card, at least a week later... Forever grateful to him as I need my phone for my work.
He saved me a lot of trouble. Qlink doesn't always suck, besides, it's a free service. Be nice to these people. They are just trying to do a thankless job...
This company should be turned in for fraud. They have my account as open, sent a statement and shows I have not used my phone. Yet I get a statement and I have NOT even activated my sim card. I haven't received my Sim card in the mail yet. But I got a monthly statement? I applied for this service months ago and never completed the process, but somehow I have a account? They send a text saying, click here to keep your phone service. I don't have phone service with them.
Are they collecting money from tax payers for service not rendered? I think so and I also think other companies do the same such as Assu... Wireless ( who did the same thing and actually prevented me from getting service from someone else). Scam and poor service. I called and the did nothing but give me a hard time, talked so fast I could understand him and then hung up on me. Worthless. I give them a zero... They just want the Governments Money. Bottom line. I have applied three times over the last year for lifeline, been approved each time, but have not once had a phone activated and have not once used the service! It's all a scam
I have been fighting them for weeks about the phone. All I get is excuse after excuse. They were no help. When I said that why is it other companies were able to get it sent out with in a timely manner. I get just need to be patient. I've been patient for months yet still no phone. This company is shady at best.
I had qlink for a while after they sent me the new SIM card I put it on my phone and ever since then my phone stopped working. In order to use their service they wanted me to buy a phone just to continue to receive free service. They sent me a tablet that j was supposed to have gotten for free after I get the tablet the tablet is HORRIBLE it is extremely slow and then they send me an invoice saying it's $10 for the tablet now. I'm not paying $10 for a free tablet and it's horrible. I can't even download anything on the tablet only thing I can do is look at the time if that. That's how horrible the tablet is then when you try to contact customer service you can't get through. I'm done with qlink I'm switching service I don'tlike qlink anymore
I switched to Qlink about 2 months ago and get lousy reception, I have to go outside and find a signal. My daughter in law was using the phone I bought since Qlink does not give free phones like every other lifeline company, she gave me the phone because it quit working in the middle of her call and the screen was white, you can't see nothing except a white screen, I took the back off and found out the phone is 3 years old. The battery is dated 9/4/2019. If the battery is that old then so is the phone. I paid for a new phone not a junk 3 year old phone that didn't last 2 months I guess the age has a lot to do with why it's a useless piece of garbage now. Do not even think about switching to this company. When you have a problem and try to speak with a person you get a message that they will contact you back in 48 hours. If it takes them that long to answer customers I can just imagine how long replacement phones take and they will most likely expect me to pay for another junk 3 year old phone. I'm done with qlink and am switching to Assurance. Stay away from Qlink unless you like throwing your money away and can do without a phone for a month or two.

Answer: I mean they provide cell service not internet that's two different animals all together. LOL you can turn your phone into a hotspot, which then allows you to tether your tablet to the phone and use its cell data but I think actually the only cost is $5 a month that's unlimited everything so I think just about anyone can afford that. But they actually send a SIM card which I believe was for the tablet and I never put it in so it could be it already came with cell service I haven't paid anything in months except for one time $5 and for all I know that was for shipping and receiving. As far as the $30 phone bill the government you already getting free service so you could apply that $30 towards the internet service if you have a provider in the area that's cheap but reliable. Good luck on that. If you need to know how to set your phone up as a hotspot you turn on Bluetooth for one but the best thing to do is just Google it say turn phone into hotspot and connect tablet for Android it will give you full directions.

Answer: To my experience with this company since 2018 i never had to pay a dime if your being asked for money RUN run very fast they are trying to scam you because this program is 100 % free --phone --sim card --activation--only money out of pocket maybe for 2nd time go around if you loose your phone drop the sim card in the garbage disposal or belter yet the toilet but no $$$$ ALL FREE

Answer: If it is a real Qlink email and not someone phishing for info when the package comes don't open it, Write on it "Return to Sender" your singing the song in your head, huh. Depending on your age that was an Elvis Presley song in the 50's or 60's. If it asks for any kind of information do not answer. I get one that say my (department store) order is on the way. If you get a text message and says to send "Stop" to a phone number don't do it. Most likely it is testing to see if you have an active, valid number. Anything internet, phone or text that you don't know who or what it is "Spam it" and delete. Even if you know the person there's a chance when you open it. My address book got hijacked on Facebook and sent everyone on it a virus. I don't FB anymore. It's a pretty sorry person that sends a virus to people they don't know.
Answer: I agree with the previous answer I had SafeLink years ago it takes forever to get it's not as good a service I couldn't get calls inside of my residence. It was terrible I would definitely go with QLink it's so much better in so many ways I don't think there's a question here really. They even sent me a free tablet or I think it was $5 although it's older and it's slow it's free and it does work. You have to make sure you connect it to LTE or 4G rather than 5G it is not a 5G tablet nor I don't believe the phone is either it's 4G also.
Answer: Mine got limited data but still can use calls and text if you run out of data. And it's almost June of 2024 and I am still using my free government service. Maybe however you got this program ei. In WA state you have to be TANF or SNAP and sometimes you have to renew you benefits like my food stamps I have to do that every 6 Months in WA state. So maybe you need to check if that's what your state program works!
