The company's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding its customer service, characterized by long wait times and ineffective support. Customers frequently express frustration with service interruptions, data limitations, and issues related to device functionality. While some reviews acknowledge the friendly demeanor of customer service representatives, the overall sentiment leans heavily towards dissatisfaction, with many describing the service as unreliable and inadequate. Positive aspects are scarce, primarily focusing on the accessibility of low-cost options, but these are overshadowed by pervasive concerns about service quality and responsiveness.

If you ever need the phone in an emergency, you'd be dead. Worst phones and service. Q link has been robbing the government and the people with crap products and service on us while they get paid big to have the government contract. How many of your CEOs are being indicted?. I hope my review makes people avoid your company you are the scam.
I had the lifeline phone program through them as well as the ebb. I was told I would have unlimited talk, text and data. On Saturday 12-26-2021 my internet was cut off. Qlink only offers customer support on Mon-Fri, so I had to wait til Monday 12-28-2021 to call and try to resolve the issue. I called them 8 times in total. The first call I was told that I would have to add money to my account to have the internet back on, that I had reached my data limit and the speeds were reduced. My speeds were not reduced I had no internet connection period. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and in turn was hung up on. I called 6 more times after this asking to speak with a supervisor only to be hung up on again all 6 times. At the beginning of each call I was asked for my call back # in case the line was disconnected, I never received a call back any of those 7 times. I know I was hung up on, I had 5 bars of service and could hear them perfectly and if I had not been hung up on and the line truly was disconnected I would have received at least 1 call back out of the 7 calls. I gave them several hours and when no one ever called back I made an 8th call and requested that my service be cancelled. What they are doing is receiving government grant money for the ebb program in which they are not providing the service it claims to be which is fraudulent to say the least. I filed a formal complaint with the BBB. This company has no morals whatsoever.
Would be an improvement on this phone and charged 25 bucks! I would have done better buying groceries!
Even though Qlink had my current address, they sent mandatory upgrade sim card to my old address. Customer service phone number navigation menu is a total joke. No live person to talk to. The result is I have no working phone. The website is useless. Avoid Qlink at all costs!
The back will not come off phone to insert SIM card and battery. Customer service basically nonexistent. Just hung up again on me. I have spoken to multiple employees of Qlink with varying answers. Company refuses to refund my $19.99 initial fee and refuses to send new phone or prepaid label to return one that will not open.
Evidently Qlink exists only to provide someone with way to make money... not provide a service to those truly in need of phone. Dont use Qlink..
I have Qlink phone service, been using them for a while because it is free and I qualify. First I got a free phone. It started acting up, so I decided to buy my own phone and have my account transferred to the new phone. Glad I had the right match. For months now I have been getting notifications on my phone to got to a link for a free tablet. I never did. This December I got a tablet in the mail. Didn't know why or who sent it. I went into my account on line because I stopped being able to get into my voicemails. There I found some type of message saying I have a $10. Balance owed for what was suppose to be a "free" tablet. Tried to contact Qlink [website says you can chat anytime - NOT TRUE - no actual person ever answers your question]. From google I learned that a program called Emergency Broadband Benefits is the program that give qualified persons free and/or money to help pay for internet service. I do not have Internet through qlink. Never received any internet equipment. Do not receive any money to help pay for internet. Yet, I called the Broadband company and they had issued an application number to me. I spoke with a representative and was told that my provider, Qlink, had started the application. That I needed to completed the process. I denied the request and asked that the application be cancelled because I did not authorize it. She agreed she would, but stated I needed to get the matter straight with Qlink. Still trying to contact Qlink. Meanwhile I am googling how to reset my voicemail or troubleshoot the problem, unless this is something being done by Qlink. Also, trying to find out how to make a legal complaint against Qlink.
Terrible. I requested a phone twice and still don't have one six months later. While waiting for my phone my apparent one month ran out and I was told I couldn't keep my number I've has for 20 years. So I requested another phone and texted all my contacts with the new number assigned to me. Long story short, I was able to keep my number with my old phone. Then they sent me a tablet and charged me $10 and I can't even use it because I don't have wifi. Not to mention the tablet isn't even worth $10.
If I didn't HAVE to give a star, I would have given negative stars to this company; a higher degree of negative with each review. As stated in my last review of this business, they claimed it was the electrical in my building that was causing my problems with service. As of this review, that lie was fully debunked with a call from Potomac Edison. There's NOTHING in my home or the surrounding area that would cause enough interference to interrupt or affect cell phone service. So, as I have continued to state, qlink wireless has been lying at every turn, instead of simply taking responsibility for what is wrong. Have NO idea what wool they're trying to pull over anyone's eyes, but they're sorely mistaken to try it with me. Change is to come.
Again, I wouldn't give them a single star if I weren't forced to by the site. Another bad time with them. The Motorola G7 Play refuses to stop crashing the google search bar. I've spoken with Motorola, their way of fixing it is to have me send it to them and probably end up with a reconditioned phone instead of a factory phone. QLink now refuses to take the phone back, knowing it had this flaw. I would not recommend anyone use QLink, unless you like the daily frustration of your phone having the same problem. As well, their supposed 5G upgrade isn't fully rolled out as they claim, so if you're in an area with already questionable reception and you have this company, get ready for it to be as bad if not worse.
This phone company has charged the Government for service to me they weren't providing. Extremely horrible service and phone, could never access the internet and barely got phone service. Yet every month they emailed me about my account being active, haven't had service in almost a year, received a phone with texts already on it, they don't respond to emails and won't answer phone, finally reached customer service and she told me it was cancelled last month, haven't used it in almost a year, rude, uncaring foreigners with attitude and she ignored the situation and reapply for service. Ripping the Government off, wish I knew how to report them ASAP
I have filed a case against Qlink with BBB & wish others would do the same. Just complaining does ABSOLUTELY no good. Here's my filed case after them saying they don't feel they need to resolve my complaint.
I called these people back in august to make sure that my service would work in the area I moved to. I gave lady the UPDATED address at that time & she checked to make sure phone would have service here. So the address was SUPPOSED to be UPDATED at that time. YES I did check Qlink site for info on tablet in November to see where it was at that time to find my address had not been updated that is when I started calling them. I don't accept their response as I opted for a tablet instead of a phone & have got NEITHER. I was told by one of the many people I spoke with by phone they received the tablet back & would NOT re-send it. I feel the new address NOT being UPDATED is on Qlink. From what I understand Qlink has a huge problem sending out tablets or phones that people have paid for & are under investigation.
I have a son with disabilities who needs to be in contact with doctors and therapists. But Qlink fails to provide good quality service. We have no service to get in contact with anyone. Q link fails to get in contact with us regarding service issues after 3 days.
My phone died. Called them on landline. After 5 months still no phone. So I switched to another provider. Q-link was lying about my usage the whole time. So they got money from the government for a phone that didn't work.
I was working with a client of mine and was assisting them with trying to receive the previous free phone promotion, which they never sent to her and were now FORCING her to purchase a new phone or lose services. Q-Link is now requiring all customers, whether you qualify for the free phone service or not, to pay for your phone separately. During the phone call with their customer service, they kept reading a scripted response and did not offer any solutions. We then asked for the supervisor who repeated the same script and then proceeded to hang up on us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
QLink are fraudulent crooks. I am disabled and have been around and around with them. My social worker and ARMHS workers have tried numerous times to speak to them. The employees at QLink speak English as a second language and apparently read from a script. I was promised a new phone in April and sent them an email a month later not receiving it. Now QLink is stating that "the free phone was a promotion and is no longer" and I have to purchase a new phone. My social worker and ARMHS worker both read the QLink email promising me a new free phone. One of the QLink supervisors, Grisely, hung the phone up on us after repeatedly giving fraudulent information. My social worker called again on Ssturday 11/20/21 and spoke to a QLink employee who admitted what they were doing was fraudulent. My social worker requested a supervisor to contact us on Monday 11/22/21 and did NOT contact us. A QLink employee, Stanley put us on hold and then disconnected the call. This company is not truthful and continue to make money off vulnerable/disabled adults.
In addition, I am told, by QLink, that my present phone is not compatible and my phone will be disconnected on 12/15/21. This is not okay. Having a cell phone is imperative being a disabled person.
Customer Service Awful! Seems like it's almost a scam to get you to buy their cell phone. Don't off free phone and appears other cell phones not compatible
I don't know how, but Qlink is blocking most service. You can be staring at a t- mobile tower - no bars! ( And my BF helps design those towers, so yes, he can spot which are which.). I thought getting TMobile would give me great coverage, but even in main areas with towers all over, 1 bar, no bars. Gave up and went back to Verizon's cheapest deals. Oh look, 5 bars! Going to cost money, but at least I know I can reach AAA if I break down.
I had to pay for this phone for a government phone service and it is a piece of crap it drops your calls it does things out of the blue and it does not work you would think that the government would have to get a better phone for their recipients it is garbage thanks a lot and there's no one to talk to to help me figure this crap out to switch it to a different phone
Worst customer service I've ever had to deal with. Trying to get my phone turned off cuz I lost it I don't have the money to replace it and I can't get through to anybody I was on hold for 21 minutes just so you can hear static like they couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear them. I think this is a big rip off and I think they still the money from the government. All I want to do is turn my phone off so nobody else can use it haha what a joke can't even get through to anybody bunch of crooks.
The free phone they sent me a few years ago was bogged down with useless apps and the resolution was $#*!ty at best. Each month they terrorized me three times about deactivating it if I didn't use it n gave me the option to check off "this is not my primary phone" and told me I was good for 30 more days then 2 days later a similar email. Now I'm getting told they're going to 5k n I need to BUY a new phone to keep service. If I could afford a new phone I wouldn't need the q link phone in the first place n they are inundating my email about it now even after I sent them an email telling them we were probably DONE.
Answer: Q-Link is a scam operation. REPORT to the relevant state and federal authorities ASAP! Reps are scammers reading from their scripts. Useless and intend to be useless.
Answer: Yes you can it also gives you two months free Amazon prime
Answer: It's not possible to talk to any human cause a real human wouldnt do the shit these fucking foreigner fucks do to people
Answer: I mean they provide cell service not internet that's two different animals all together. LOL you can turn your phone into a hotspot, which then allows you to tether your tablet to the phone and use its cell data but I think actually the only cost is $5 a month that's unlimited everything so I think just about anyone can afford that. But they actually send a SIM card which I believe was for the tablet and I never put it in so it could be it already came with cell service I haven't paid anything in months except for one time $5 and for all I know that was for shipping and receiving. As far as the $30 phone bill the government you already getting free service so you could apply that $30 towards the internet service if you have a provider in the area that's cheap but reliable. Good luck on that. If you need to know how to set your phone up as a hotspot you turn on Bluetooth for one but the best thing to do is just Google it say turn phone into hotspot and connect tablet for Android it will give you full directions.
Answer: Don't do it. It's not worth your time. Free is too much to pay for this piece of CRAP.
Answer: To my experience with this company since 2018 i never had to pay a dime if your being asked for money RUN run very fast they are trying to scam you because this program is 100 % free --phone --sim card --activation--only money out of pocket maybe for 2nd time go around if you loose your phone drop the sim card in the garbage disposal or belter yet the toilet but no $$$$ ALL FREE
Answer: Mine dies the same if I go over a certain amount of data and have ro wait for the new month to get data back on the phone. Doesn't seem right as it should be unlimited huh?
Answer: If it is a real Qlink email and not someone phishing for info when the package comes don't open it, Write on it "Return to Sender" your singing the song in your head, huh. Depending on your age that was an Elvis Presley song in the 50's or 60's. If it asks for any kind of information do not answer. I get one that say my (department store) order is on the way. If you get a text message and says to send "Stop" to a phone number don't do it. Most likely it is testing to see if you have an active, valid number. Anything internet, phone or text that you don't know who or what it is "Spam it" and delete. Even if you know the person there's a chance when you open it. My address book got hijacked on Facebook and sent everyone on it a virus. I don't FB anymore. It's a pretty sorry person that sends a virus to people they don't know.
Answer: I agree with the previous answer I had SafeLink years ago it takes forever to get it's not as good a service I couldn't get calls inside of my residence. It was terrible I would definitely go with QLink it's so much better in so many ways I don't think there's a question here really. They even sent me a free tablet or I think it was $5 although it's older and it's slow it's free and it does work. You have to make sure you connect it to LTE or 4G rather than 5G it is not a 5G tablet nor I don't believe the phone is either it's 4G also.
Answer: Mine got limited data but still can use calls and text if you run out of data. And it's almost June of 2024 and I am still using my free government service. Maybe however you got this program ei. In WA state you have to be TANF or SNAP and sometimes you have to renew you benefits like my food stamps I have to do that every 6 Months in WA state. So maybe you need to check if that's what your state program works!
