This is a review for all sellers wanting to know if paying for puppies.com is worth it. ITS NOT!
They are offering a 7 day trial to "new" accounts and these low life scum, backyard breeders who for years never bothered to fork out the 19.99 for a membership are bumping litters of dirt cheap puppies onto the site and selling them in the 7 day window. These puppies are not registered of course but they aren't even vaccinated or wormed!
If your puppies are health tested, vetted and well cared for so you have so charge a responsible price? Forget it. While your posts sit there untouched while you pay your site fee month after month, ignorant buyers are swooping up cheap Craigslist quality puppies for 1/4 the price that puppies.com is letting them post for free. They are probably making multiple accounts through friends and family members too if they need extra time!
Best of all, they don't even prioritize your PAID posts over all of their freeloaders. No your posts are buried under dozens of inbred, flea covered, unvaccinated $200 "purebreds".
I have paid puppyfind/puppies.com 19.99 every month for 7 YEARS happily because it used to be a great tool to sell my QUALITY puppies. Now it's completely useless to me and I've already canceled my membership. I've given them $1,700 over my time with the site and it ends NOW!
First I have to say I love the new layout everything just looks pretty. But it doesn't work. What I don't like is that it's very hard to sell puppies there. Wish there was a way to boost/bump your listing to help sell puppies as before and it was free. Second there is no way I can send additional pictures or videos to the buyer only text or email. Third. Sometimes I just want to delete the message and it's there can't delete it. Really hate that. There is way more scammers contacting me then before. I have lost almost all interest in the puppies.com. Who cares how pretty the site has become what matters is that it works. I haven sold not a single puppy in over 5 months. I have 16 adds. Im tired of it. So I've contacted puppystop. I'll be switching over to them. Also looking for other websites to sell my puppies. Sometimes simple is better.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback we do appreciate your comments. We are working on implementing a boost option that will be available very soon. We will also be adding the option to upload photos in the message center.
We work daily on removing scammers and have a Report button and Buyer Tips on every listing.
Again, we appreciate your feedback and we are hearing you. Hopefully you will give us another try once those things are active.

I used to look at puppyfind almost weekly. Over time, I found good breeders and purchased some precious pups. Now, it's nearly impossible to find what I'm looking for. I have stopped looking at puppies.com and no longer recommended it.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. We will take it into consideration for future site improvements.

We've had a paid account with them since long ago when they were still puppyfind and suffered through their changing their site and all the technical issues they've had with their site, while we were still paying for a membership with them. We've never had a volume of good leads from them, but still maintained a paid membership for a possibility of additional exposure for our exceptional Teacup Chihuahuas. Then while we had family over from another state staying with us, they've decided to give puppies.com a try and opened their own account. Immediately puppies.com have blocked their account and mine (!) just because they saw activity from 2 accounts from the same IP. The visiting family found this outrageous and said they'll never use them again, but we, on the other hand, have tried to talk to their support to try to answer any questions for them and to give them any reasonable information, including our website www.TeacupTails.com and vet puppy records so they could see they've made an error in their judgement. However, all that to no avail. So don't spend your money and your time in trying to establish your presence through them as you may loose it in one stroke of a key from their end for no good reason at all.
Hello,
It appears in your situation two accounts were made with different locations but with the same listing. We do not allow duplicate listings. It looks like customer service is just waiting on proof of location documentation to verify which location you reside in to be able to reinstate your account. If you would like to provide that documentation we would be happy to assist you in getting your account back up and running.

I've always had a good experience both buying and selling puppies or digs on the puppyfind platform. I have no bad stories to tell
Removed my puppies without notification told me I didnt own the puppies. Demanded private information like driver's license vet bills and after all documentation was provided still refused to reinstate account. DO NOT USE THIS SITE
Hello,
It's unfortunate that you did not have a good experience on the site. Without the email that you used on your account I'm not able to review your account to see if there was an error made.

Employees of a business need to do what their employer tells them what do do. My dad told me this when I was 11 years old as I was starting my first part time job as a meat cutter for my uncle. My dad said: "if they tell you to dump dirt on the street, do it, they pay your wages!"
Employers have their employers as well. Stock holders if public and their customers like I was to puppies.com. Customers need to be treated fairly or a business will go out of business.
A large company can have thousands of customers so when one customer files a complaint with the company as I did it can be overlooked or unnoticed.
I believe that was what happened with me after advertising with them for 5 years or so. They just went through a major re haul. Brand new website which has some bugs which they are working on.
In ether case the correct person whom I had dealt with personality stepped up to the plate and reached out to me yesterday by phone and after some discussion reinstated my advertising account.
This was important to me because puppies.com is in the top 5 on Google as far as finding a puppy to buy. I have seen many times when I typed in Golden Retriever Puppies for sale in Colorado and a link comes up on google that when I clicked on it it not only goes goes to puppies.com, but it goes directly to my ad I placed on the site.
If you were to advertise on Google as I also do, the average person would need to spend hundreds of dollars each month to achieve the same results as I have with Puppies.com at a cost of around $20.00 per month.
That is what is so great about using this company and one of the reasons I wanted my account back.
As it was pointed out to me on the phone that they can terminate any account without notice and for any reason. But my answer to that is if a company starts doing that to their good clients too often they will be looking for a new job.
In this competitive world a company need to go the extra mile when working with their customers.
As a owner and president of many types of businesses in my career I have learned that from mortgage banking, real estate investing, and even film production.
In conclusion I'm happy to be back with Puppies.com and I hope they are happy with me.
For over a decade I have been both a purchaser & an breeder/advertiser with puppyfind, & over the years have purchased & sold many pups/dogs through the puppyfind platform. Speaking on behalf of my self as well as many other breeders, the new puppies.com site is absolutely terrible. It use to be very quick & trouble free to just click on the breed you'd like to see, then be presented with the many small thumbnail sized profile to chose from per page. Now you are forced to rummage through only a few huge adds at a time per page, which intern leads to a much quicker loss of interest from the customer! Now that puppies.com has replaced puppyfind, my add views have dropped from a couple hundred or more per week to just a handful, from talking with other frustrated breeders, it seems that when this issue is presented to the puppies staff, the answer for this is "there's a bit of a problem with the new view counting system" well I'm here to tell you that's not a good answer either! Since I've been using puppies.com I haven't gotten contacted one time by a potential customer... NOT ONE! So far with puppies.com I've only been contacted by "check scamers". Because of this change I'm now forced to be in a mad dash to try & find another site to sell on. PLEASE (from me & many other breeders) change the system back, this one is a bad for ALL involved!

If you have not already done so, please confirm your email, phone number, and ID. Completing these verifications will push your listings in front of those users that have not completed those tasks. As a breeder, I used Puppies.com when it was still Puppyfind.com. I recently did a litter and advertised it under new ownership (or restructured management idk) as puppies.com. Total waste of money. I used to use puppyfind.com exclusively and my puppies would be sold within a week to two weeks. Yes, you get a lot of sketchy people, but that's with any public ad. You simply have to interview and weed them out and taker precautions when accepting payments. However, under the new (improved?) puppies.com I received >>>ZERO<<<< inquiries. And since they have removed the ability to bump up your ad, you'll never get seen after the first two hours of listing because you will be shoved into non-existence on page hundred. Since people can't bump up ads they have to resort to making MORE ads. And the more ads there are the even more swamped the site becomes. This is very counterproductive and puppy buyers shouldn't have to wade through that and sellers shouldn't have to make ad after ad in hopes to be seen.
Puppyfind.com worked great. I have no idea what idiot decided to "fix" something that worked fine. Putting on a shiny new website (now bloated and over done) does not make things better. It was a reliable advertising system that's now defunct. Very disappointing.
Hello, The old site was fantastic, but it was very old and things were starting to not work properly, so it was time to revamp the website. We know there will be a big learning curve for our users when they have to learn a whole new site, but there are a lot more options on the new site that were not available on the old one and hopefully the new site will start to grow on you. Completing the email, phone and ID verifications on your Verifications page, and filling out the Premier Profile if you have a premier membership will assist in having your listings closer to the front pages of the breed your listings are in. The new site gives more of an option to search by location and distance. We do our best to keep the scammers at bay, but new sites get their full force initially. With all new sites there have been a few bugs to work through, but we are diligently working to make the site just as fantastic as the old one. Thank you for being patient with us. If you have additional questions on how to utilize the new site please contact us at [email protected]. Puppies.com Support
Breeder will happily sell you a sick puppy. Veterinary care is never provided none of their dogs have been to or seen a vet. This garbage human will act like she provides basic care but does not, and she will happily hand you a puppy that's been having diarrhea for weeks and act like it's news to her. 2800 dollars for a puppy another 5 grand in vet bills and a dead puppy is what you will get from Veronica Williams at " wilhome acres"
I bought a cocker spaniel puppy in June, 2021 from a breeder in Ruthers Glen, VA. Several things I've learned. I don't believe the puppy was ever seen by a
Vet. I think they did the shots and tail docking themselves. The ad didn't say she had been seen by a vet. When I got her at 8 weeks the ears were very dirty. When I took her to the vet for her next shot, they found she had an ear infection. The infection didn't clear after several vet visits and hundreds of dollars. She began to have other health issues and the vet correctly decided she might have allergies. Antibiotics, prednisone and an allergy shot cleared the problem. She requires allergy shots every two months during spring, summer and fall. The other problem is her back legs especially the left. It seems to slip in and out of the socket. At one point she carried the left to the point that the muscles had atrophied. Pain meds helped and she hasn't carried the leg recently. The muscles are back to normal. Other things I didn't think about: She did not allow me to see the puppies and we met at a McDonalds to exchange puppy and money. I also didn't realize she had so many dogs. I thought they were more like family pets that they bred. In looking at her ads she frequently has puppies for sale. I don't know if my dog was just a fluke or not.
In fairness they were pleasant people. The puppy came with toys, a little bed, feeding bowls, a blanket and several days of food. The puppy was well socialized and cute as a button.
If I ever buy another dog I will ask more questions such as if she has been seen by a vet, are there guarantees that the puppy is healthy, etc. She is a lemon, I don't know how well she will do as she ages, but I love her and she is my lemon

I have been a seller for years and had good business on the site now it's hard to navigate and the sales have definitely taken a deep dive because it's so complicated. The extra breed mixes are a plus but the simple searching is long gone and nobody has time for that

The breeder I bought mine from you could tell loved and took great care in finding the right home for them.
I use to love puppyfind.
It was wonderful but now so many have changed and in my opinion it's more about rescues instead of breeders but the breeders are paying.
You can't delete false reviews from buyers like you use to be able to. Not that it has come up.
With puppyfind you could look for breed via breed and state and now most breeders are being washed out. Extremely disappointed that puppyfind made this change.
I guess I'll be on the search for a new site!

Customer service and follow-up on reviews, especially ones about breeders--is excellent, and always fair and reasonable for both buyer and seller. Excellent records kept, always up to date with ad placement, and an all-
Over great place for a small breeder who values great homes over profit on which to advertise!
They do a bait and switch on paying. I requested a one time payment and was put in the premier package instead with out any heads up of this. So instead of a 30 dollar one time payment it becomes 60 dollars. Very deceiving

As a breeder and seller, we are not protected. Except they now work as an anarchy and no matter how legit you are, they still ban you while spammers and suspicious account are out there scamming people. Be careful! I do not recommend this company at all for puppies.

When puppyfind.com changed over to puppies.com a lot of problems did come up. It is finally fixed and working fairly well. I have changed the score from 1 to 4. They have been responsive to the problems in the new website and fixed them.
Sincerely,
Linda
When told of a golden retriever breeder who is selling puppies with severe genetic defect to me and at least one other family, they have taken no action. The breeder is selling another litter from same parents.
