Storage unit rent was increased $150! The place wreaks of mildew so all of my belongings now smell like an old musty attic. Property manager does not have authority enough to take care of rent and move out problems. I gave my move out notice and they are still charging me for rent when I vacated the premises. They are unprofessional and wayyy overpriced, never rent from them again!

They love to send people to collections even when you're all paid up and their policy is not good business practices you get a unit in the middle of the month and even if you get out on the 3rd of the following month you get charged and if you don't pay collection calls non stop

When I first did public storage it was affordable. Now I went from paying $90 to 200 within two years. For the smallest units. If you don't mind The increase this is the Best place for you. Just keep it in mind that every 12 months it increase. They don't tell you that when you get the unit.

Over Charged

Watch your bank account when dealing with this company. They take it out but WON'T return what THEY OWE you. I've been trying to get someone to talk to or call me back for over a month. They didn't even credit my account with them in order to make this right. Horrible customer service, seems like a lot of untrained people, working from home on the phones. The so called executive team doesn't have the knowledge of how to return a call. Take your business to ANOTHER STORAGE company.

NEVER GO HERE

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

I was accused of my CHARITY habitat for humanity stealing your dolly, and she said she saw them on camera. Then the charity caught her in the lie and said ok show us the footage? Not until then after saying I had to pay did she apologize.

I then was yelled at for using the dumpster.

Your place has no bathrooms or phone plugs.

Office people are NEVER in there! EVER!

The entire place has ONE dolly for EVERY customer to share.

DOUBLED RENT

THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE!

I moved from tarpon to holiday last october tht is when i met miss cathy i am 77 years young and due to polio plus a very bad fall i now need a walker yo get around. This is the first time i have rented and cathy wandas there to help me with all the information i needed. I, ll admit i was very over whelmed and she was calm cqql and collected and had a smile the whol time. We even had a few laughs in there.

Don't call customer service after hours for accidentally leaving your keys inside and locked out. You will be threatened with limited hours to the already limited hours they have.

I rent two units from this location and hardly ever go to them because I tried to pack adequately so I wouldn't need to rummage thru them. Well, I needed a tv out because the one I had gone up. I went to the storage unit and got the tv and realized the remotes and plug were in another box not far back but I needed to move some things out to get to it. Long story short I didn't realize it was after 9, it was 9:30 to b exact. While coming out I accidently let the door close and It was after 9 so it would not unlock. I wouldn't have cared if I had not left my keys inside to my car and my house. I called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. Fortunately there was another person coming out and I asked them to hold the door for me.
All is well, fine and good till this morning I was called by the property manager and threatened that if that happens again my hours will be restricted to just business hours. Like that matters, it's only 3 hours less than your regular access hours... LOL -
I pay these people almost $600 per month (which I pre-paid 6 months) and I get the hours are till 9 pm but last night was an anomaly. I am a good customer you have never had any complaints or disturbances by me or from me. I don't respond well to threats when I am paying you money for a service. I will be moving my storage units to a company that doesn't threaten their customers!

Horrible experience moving out

I never write reviews, but this was horrible. I had a 10×10 from November 19,2019 to January 10,2022. My monthly payment started at $86. I paid direct deposit during this time. My rent went up to $98 sometime around the third quarter of 2020. Not long after the start of 2021 my rent went up to $118. Sometime shortly after Christmas 2021 however I received a notice that my rent was going up to $132 by February 1,2022 giving me little time to find another space. On January 2,2022 I was charged $118 and was able to move out by January 10,2022.
I called the corporate office two weeks later trying to give them time to process what I believed to be a refund due for the remainder of the month. Some lady immediately became rude as soon as I asked about a refund for the remainder of the month. She quickly recited that I wasn't going to get a refund under section 11. I then asked why wouldn't I get a refund for the 20 days left in the month and that sound illegal because they could make more money on the same space. If that's not illegal it should be! She obviously was prepare for this question due to taking advantage of they're clientele that paid direct deposit... This was a very horrible experience and the fact that they never had to worry about their payments being on time for the space makes it even worse. I would never run a business that way... Beware!

I was sick with covid for 2 weeks and my storage unit is past due. I called and asked if they would take the past due amount for December but was told I have to pay December and January. January is not even 30 days late and my unit is going up for auction. I barely went back to work. I've even called the district manager to explain my situation and my call hasn't been returned

This is the worst managed public storage i have ever dealt with. No one is almost ever in the office to talk to. You have to leave a voice message. Good luck getting a response. I had movers bringing my furniture to mckinney. I needed the unit early. I left messages saturday, sunday, and monday. I finally gave up and got a storage unit somewhere else. Horrible horrible horrible

HORRIBLE treatment to any and all customers! ZERO STARS. CORPORATE is UNRESPONSIVE. I have contacted them on numerous occasions and emailed their customer service team as well - yet no response. Take your money and business elsewhere. Been a customer for barely 2 years and they tried to up my rent $100 yet you can clearly go online and purchase a new one for a difference of $5 from what I'm currently paying. Their gate has been broken for a month now and yet there has been ZERO NOTIFICATIONS to any of their customers regarding this and the change of hours to access their units - as this has now been limited.
Spend your money elsewhere. Big corps don't care about people only dollar signs. Take your money to self owned companies where they actually care about their customers!

Politely and efficiently. Rene was very thorough and even helped me lower my payment after a review of my payment history and years utilized at Public Storage. Based on this experience I would highly recommend Public Storage to my friends.

So they kick everyone out with a 30 day notice. Because they redoing complex and they still charged me for the next month! Overdrawn my account and they said sorry but they don't pay fee. Stole my money and said sorry
