The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.

In my opinion this is the site best of the rest in market. I have deal with them couple of times and had never problem. I don't know why people writing negative feedback about PriceLine
The services provided by Priceline are absolutely amazing. I am very impressed. Keep growing priceline
I am SO disappointed in Priceline.com. I always thought I was getting a good deal when using the site, until I found a rate that was almost HALF the price of one other Express Deals. The site makes it seem so simple and 'hassle-free' to get a refund for the difference. The customer service agent said that I could not receive the 'best price guarantee' because the other site actually offered cancellation, unlike Priceline's nonrefundable, no cancellation policy. However, the website says "Comparable Cancellation Policies" which the agent told me actually means "Must be the same or more strict." Why not make that policy clear online? Don't advertise something as a guarantee when it is not at all guarantee. This is false advertising. Another site is offering a cheaper rate AND better service, yet they do NOTHING to at least attempt to keep a customer happy. All I received was the same scripted lines over and over. Again, nothing to even TRY to make the situation better knowing that I am now wasting over $500 on a hotel room (which they say is 2 1/2 stars, but is more like 2 on other websites). I have used Expedia, Booking.com and Southwestvacations.com before who have all honored price differences without giving any push back. Those companies (and I'm sure most others) know how to retain customers. We travel a lot, I know people who book travel for work, and I will gladly spread the word about never using Priceline again. This company obviously does not value it's customers and has no sense in clear messaging/advertising and retaining customers. It is very sad knowing that a company would treat customers this way, especially a travel site. Booking travel should make people happy, not make them angry. Please Priceline, make your messages more clear online, stop making "best price guarantees" and take a lesson in valuing and retaining customers.
I made a bid on a room and the bid was accepted. When I checked into the room, I was told there was an additional $4.95/night resort fee. What a scam. When I called Priceline, I get a scripted version of a response. As I viewed the pricing on other hotels during bidding, there were statements that there will be a resort fee added to that bid. But on the hotel that I bid on, there was no resort fee mentioned. This charge made my bid $5 more per night. That's $150 more a month. If I'm "Naming my own price", should I pay the price that I named and they accepted or should they be allowed to just charge any amount to my credit card because I'm locked into this bid. Can't cancel it. Can't change it. I'm just screwed. And the sad part, there was no resort. No amenities. Just some rundown old slimy motel.
Came quick and very pleased with the order, well worth what I paid for it.
I love being a customer. Its all services are its best. I used its all services and I could not even find a single minor mistake.
A good site to find cheap air tickets, hotel and rental car, and you can bid your own price!
I made a reservation a few days ago with a certain hotel and I found out that they were renovating. I then called Price Line to cancel my order and had a lot of issues even trying to do that. I explained to them that all the new reviews talk about it and how bad the hotel stinks also. I spoke with 4 different people thus far ( customer relations let me go after a long hold time) and told me she would call me back in 20 min. After she checked with hotel for cancellation. I then called hotel b/c she never called back and they said they did not even have a reservation for me. They then told me they have contacted price line several times and told them they were over booked. Price line is still selling more rooms at this hotel as we speak! Now I have wasted over an hour trying to get a refund on a hotel that was never booked to begin with! The girl that works at the hotel said she has been getting cussed out all night b/c of price lines unprofessional ism and over booking. I just dont understand how they get away with this...
Thought I had a good deal through PL but as it turns out they charge in US dollars. The fact that all charges are in USD is in small print and a faded out font colour. You have to be sharp to catch it. After the fact I complained to the CSR and there was nothing she could do. I asked for a supervisor, there was noting he could do. Lots of "sorry for the inconvenience" but nothing concrete like a voucher for $'s off your next booking. All the manager said was' "send your complaints in writing to the head office. Adding insult to injury the hotel does not provide the continental breakfast to customers who book through any website but their own. After this experience I will never book through price line again. It is a rip off. Deal direct with the hotel you want to stay at and get the respect you deserve.
When traveling to a foreign place, I rely on the amenities and hotel description to choose where I will stay. I was very careful to read reviews and amenities before choosing a priceline express deal for a hotel in the area I wanted that advertised a hotel shuttle and wifi. The hotel does NOT have an airport shuttle. I am spending $15 per person, one way, for the AIRPORT shuttle that is available to the hotel, which will be an extra $90 in shuttle fees that I would have avoided by staying close to the airport if it wasn't falsely advertised as having a shuttle. Priceline's response was that there is a shuttle available, and they didn't say it was free. On that thinking, I also have an airport shuttle. Anyone can take an airport shuttle to my house, if they pay for it. I only asked to cancel my remaining pre-paid nights for a refund, and they refused. Don't use them. It's not worth pre-paying and hating what you get stuck with because it's advertised wrong. They get their money up front, so they don't care if the description was wrong or misleading.
Do not use - thieves; Booked hotel and in less than an hour my schedule got changed and they would not change date, cancel or refund. Hotel would but I had to go through priceline since I booked there. Policies should be the same as hotel.
Never use again!
Some prices are great when they have specials but other wise I do hardly shop with them.
Whatever you do, never enter priceline.com into your web browser. Through priceline, I made a reservation to rent a car in Vancouver. The website promised me a price that was more than 100 dollars lower than the price I ended up paying at the rental car place. On top of that, and unbeknownst to me, I was charged 30 dollars for using the online service to book my rental. At no point during the reservation process was I informed that I was going to incur this fee. There was absolutely no mention of it. So basically, I paid 30 dollars, which I didn't even know I had to pay, in order to book a car rental that was way more expensive than the advertised price. I never felt like more of a sucker. William Shatner should be ashamed of himself for representing these charlatans.
We used priceline to book a hotel in NC and got the room for two thirds less than the hotel offered. The only problem was that the room was located next to the ice machine and the elevators on the first floor, so every loud drunk that came in after one a.m. woke us up! Still, the room was very nice for the price and you still got the same amenities as everyone else, so it worked out well.
You have to be careful though, because if they match your bid you are locked into paying for the hotel and it may not be the one you really wanted or in the exact location you wanted, so you have to be a bit flexible.
It is a bit nerve wracking, bidding on a hotel near the area you want to stay and not knowing exactly what you will get, but you can save a lot of money on a hotel room.
Always bid lower than you think they will go, because sometimes they will have a four star hotel room at a two star price, but do not wait until the last minute to book or you may find yourself not being able to find anything in your price range!
I rented a vehicle for my eldery inlaws travelling with their 86 yr old mother. They were meeting us in Mrytle Beach for our first ever family trip. Grandma was having diabetic issues the day of the trip and in rushing to the airport, my father in law forgot his license and when they got to the airport in MB, they were not allowed to rent the vehicle. Even thought my mother in law was the one the reservation was under. Numerous calls were made to Priceline over two hours and yet they would not budge and the rental company could do nothing since it was a Priceline reservation. Grandmas medicine was at the condo we were in and she was starting an attack yet Priceline did not care. I had to pay with my credit card over the phone for another rental and have been trying since June to get them their $200 back. I wrote the VP of the company for rental cars and only some secretary wrote me back and said the same thing as all the calls. I understand it was our error gramps did not bring his card, but given the circumstances I believe an exception can be made. I manage a call center and make exceptions from time to time so dont give me there are NONE. Do not use Priceline. What kind of company leaves the elderly out on a limb with medical problems, regardless of whose fault it was. Shame on you Priceline.
I needed a room in College Park, MD so I bid on Priceline and got one. The only problem is that it was in Beltsville, MD and not in College Park, MD. They don't tell you clearly that surrounding towns are included, or a part of, another town (they make stuff up to suit them best). Instead, it's disguised very deceivingly on a map that nobody really looks at - which is why they do it. Make sure you read and look at everything and go over it with a fine tooth comb before placing a bid. Beltsville was 15 minutes from where I needed to be. Normally this would not be a problem but when you factor in the commute with beltway traffic it becomes 45 minutes away. I had to book another location - not with Priceline and I'll never use it again! I submitted a fraud charge with my CC company - I don't really anticipate getting it back but making Priceline take the time to go through the motions with paperwork I've just created for them is satisfying. I would encourage anyone and everyone to do that.
Booked room in Defunak Springs Fla.To go to friends funeral. Had been there before. I knew where I was going. Had conformation number with correct address, When I got there Priceline had me booked in another motel fifteen miles away in another town. The motel I wanted was full so Price line booked in another town and did not notify me. From now on will call motel myself to reserve room. This is second time in a year to happen to me with another travel site.So beware.
I reserved a vehicle with e debit card which they accepted gladly. Only to find that AVIS would not honor it and left me in a lurch. I do not own a credit card since my Paypal debit card has always worked well for me. It was really nice to hear the "customer service rep" state that it's basically my fault that I don't have a "real debit card" connected with a bank. It's also my responsibility to prove to Priceline that I didn't actually rent the vehicle. If you really hate the person in need of a rental deal, recommend priceline. To follow up Enterprise would take my card but wanted to charge me DOUBLE since I was at the airport and already screwed. Priceline could have a notification or simply disregard cards that their vendors do not accept. They basically screwed me on the off chance I would have another card to use. It's bad policy.
Was supposed to get two beds, when called the Holiday Inn@-*******700, in Corpus Christi, Tx, I was told no we get a King bed and we need to contact a third party nooker, which was Priceline. So we will nunk in the same bed. Not cool. You suck. And our trip is aug 28~30.and you suck Holiday Inn Shoreline for not even trying to accommodate. If I could give you a 0 for lack of coutesy, I would.
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
