Looking for a tiler in my area. Powell and sons said they were in my town. When I filled out their online form for a basic tiling project, it said that they couldn't do the job (how would they know, this was instant) and they were sending my information off to other people! So, now they've clearly sold my info to other people and I'll now have to battle even more scam calls. I'm so angry!

They called, he gave a quote. Said he would send an email to be from the quote. NOTHING. Don't bother.

I thought this was a local company in Snohomish County, WA. Unfortunately it is Leaffilter. Though they say they also install gutters, they are known for up-marketing you on their gutters and gutter guards. I try to stay away from companies that send mass marketing, which is Leaffilter. They also have a few reviews on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84QXyLMagEk) of their sales practices. If a company has to mask themselves as another company, buyer beware!

As soon as I clicked the button I received 4 calls from companies that received Angi's leads. Scammer site and it hurts the companies looking for leads.

Website makes you think you are contacting a father and son type business. You will be bombarded with a dozen calls from mutliple people from different companies. This misrepresents what appears on the website as a family owned and operated business.

This is a bait and switch and when you call, you get a Leaf Filter representative and they are pushy about wanting to make sure both spouses are at the quote visit.

This is a fake site for a company to steal your info & sell it to a bunch of random companies. Do not use, you will get spammed by primarily unprofessional companies. Wish could report them. Could not find Powell & Sons Gutter on yelp.

Asked for a quote for a kitchen remodel - when the guy called I was at work in the middle of something and I said I'd call back - the guy was smacking his gum in the phone while asking why I hadn't answered the previous calls he had made - I said I don't answer calls when I don't recognize the number - he says "Even though you were the one asking for the quote?" I said that the name doesn't come up on my phone, just the number - so then he said well when are you going to call back? (Still smacking his gum loudly in the phone) I said I'm a single mom and I work 50 hours a week so I'll need to find the time. I was like bye bye. Do not waste your time just to be treated like crap by some little jackass antagonizing you and chewing gum in your ear. Taking my business elsewhere.

This site pretends to be a service website, but actually forwards the lead to Angie's List. Dishonest

I've been trying to find someone to clean off my elderly mothers deck on a regular basis. I was happy someone called me back right away to negotiate a price and set a time for the washing. On the day of the appointment, I called to make sure he was coming - he wasn't. I said, "were you going to let me know or just no show up?". If you book an appointment - follow up. This guy had a Providence RI number. He seemed disinterested in the work to be honest.

I feel so stupid for falling for this website's (https://powellandsons.com) scam.
Thought I was contacting Powell and Sons, an Irving, TX sprinkler system installer for a quote, so I filled out the online form with my contact information. Within the next hour, I'd received calls, texts, and emails from 20-30 companies all over the United States. After two days, the emails, texts and phone calls have mostly stopped, but now all these places have my cellphone and email and address information. For someone who values privacy, I feel so misled (and foolish for falling for this).

This site appears to be little more than a lead aggregation service. I submitted on the website a request for a bid, with a description of the work I wanted done (basically, the replacement of an old deck). Within 20 minutes, I received a call from some outfit called US Contractors. The woman on the other end had me repeat the info I had included in my online request, then tried to upsell me on solar panel installation! When I informed her that I had no interest at all in solar panels, she passed me to a colleague who wanted me to describe yet again the nature of the job. At this point I told her that I had neither the time nor the inclination to speak further with her and hung up.
That was less than 3 hours ago. In that time we've had calls from 2 other contractors, one of them located more than 100 miles away. Apparently, your contact info is uploaded to a lead aggregation app for contractors, so expect a bunch of solicitation calls.

Have sent several quote requests. No one contacted me in any shape of form. Do not try to request a quote.

Luis Alvarado aka Luis Miranda came out to fix my fireplace and chimney sweep and fireplace cap. Had one burn and it cracked and popped out and he patched it the first burn and it did it again and the cap blew off the chimney. I paid 1.600 for the job and he never returned to givee my receipt and fix the box ignored my calls and text.

Phony website that looks like a real contractor. But it's just a service that sells your information. All you get is inundated with calls many from badly-reviewed contractors. They should be ashamed!

Looks like a real local contractor website but you get inundated by contractors, many who don't do the work you are looking for.

This is nothing more than a lead generation company. It is NOT a real company and they are frauds. I clicked "Roofer in Yelm" and they popped up. They even claim to have been voted "best roofer in Yelm", which is funny because the company I work for was voted "Best roofer in Yelm". I really wish there was some recourse for scams like this. Put in your information and you will be bombarded with calls from companies they just sold your lead to. BEWARE!
