Ordered an item over a month ago for Christmas. Was never notified that it was backordered until I reached out for an update. Ordered a backup with "guaranteed Christmas delivery" and talked to someone who said yes the item is currently in stock and will deliver by 12/24 at the latest. Checked online today (not notified via email like most
Retailers do!) and shows 12/28 delivery now! Called and all customer service says is sorry there is nothing they can do. What kind of customer service says that? Terrible. They only care about the money and pushing orders (I am still getting marketing emails pushing sales in time for Christmas for these items) vs fulfilling and making things happen. Literally ruining Christmas for my daughter.
I purchased the $400 doll house and the furniture and dolls from Pottery Barn for Kids on Dec 1st. Today is Dec 17 ( one week before Christmas). They just sent an email saying they are sold out of the doll furniture and would not be carrying it in the future. It took them 17 days to realize that they did not have inventory. So I now have a doll house and dolls but no furniture. Absolutely incredible. Do not buy from them.
I was charged for an item that didn't ship yet Pottery Barn Kids automatic system was saying it was delivered. When I was sent a vague email relating to it it apparently wasn't even shipped and it was purchased and charged for 12 days ago. Not worth it.
Ordered on November 28,2020. Finally talked to someone who was honest and said they have no idea where the packages are and if they will ever reach me. They issued me a refund. Guess we will see if that gets lost too.
I ordered personalized stockings for Christmas that were nearly $200. One of them had the complete wrong personalization (it was correct on my end and reflected even on the tag of the incorrect stocking). I called four times to get the correct stocking sent to me and was consistently told that my item would arrive within days and would be rush shipped. The fourth person that I spoke with told me that the collection was now sold out and I couldn't get a replacement. This is my son's first Christmas and I'm so disappointed and upset. The final person that I spoke with was nice and apologetic, but I shouldn't have had to call four times and try for a month to get the Christmas stocking that I paid for.
I placed an order almost 2 months ago. The initial order got lost in transit. Fine, that happens. Except that it took Pottery Barn several weeks to offer and ship replacement out. Now the replacement has been stuck at Olive Branch, again... I just need the backpack for my daughter to go to school, so I will have to buy one some place else. After spending hours on the phone trying to sort out this situation with Pottery Barn... such a waste of my time!
And they do not want to refund until I receive it... so now I have to wait for the backpack to get here, AND I still have to pay for shipping to my house, AND I have to pay for return? What a joke! So disappointing!

I placed a large order that included several monogram items. I never received a confirmation email, so I few days later I placed the same order again. Apparently the first order was placed, and it arrived shortly after, and most of the monogram I asked for was incorrect. They are also not crediting me back the second identical order placed, even though they admitted to having issues with their confirmation emails going out. I never should have given them a second chance, I had a horrible experience with Pottery Barn Kids five years ago, where none of my order arrived before Christmas even though it was placed over a month before hand. I get having lots of orders, but don't let the orders be placed if you don't have the inventory or man power to execute the order. The item below is just one example of the awful errors, the bottle was supposed to say "Robby"
They have the ability but won't give you the on-line sales price even though you place the order within a few days and have not even received the items. Shopping on-line specifically due to CV19. Chippy and poor business practices. Bye PB!
Was on the phone for over an hour, to find an explanation to this misleading presentation that the item in the picture is going to have 20% off with this specific code, it was not applied and I had to pay the full price for the item (39.50). The representative and their "LEAD" were extremely rude with the fact that they kept on shutting me up in a nice way, going around in circles. I never got the answer as to why this item is shown as such on their website, and yet they can't honor it (which they should). Never going to order from them again after this incident.
To everyone thats about to go shopping with them make sure that you don't take anything thats on the website seriously and don't waste your time shopping for something listed on sale which is NOT!
Ordered a lunch bag and a water bottle for my son and the personalization was placed on the frabic where all you can see is half of his name. The customer service said they can't replace or return but I can order and pay for another one but it's still not going to be guaranteed that his name will be placed properly on the fabric. Pretty pricey and still no guarantee! I will no longer be purchasing from pottery barn kids!
Ordered a bed weeks ago. Email says its in warehouse. After several attempts trying to get a hold of someone to schedule delivery they told me to call the warehouse. Person at warehouse was extremely rude and unhelpful. Basically told me he didnt care about the bed and there was nothing he could do as what I was told and saw in the system was not true. Asked to speak to a supervisor and he said theyd call me back. That was weeks ago. Still waiting for a call. And my daughters bed. As of now they have my money and I have nothing.
I ordered my son's room furniture. I did not received any updates from the company. After I inquired they informed that it will take 1 more month for them to deliver it. I understand things can get delayed but nobody even bothered to inform me. And 1 item they are saying I will get by June 2021. Seriously

I placed an order Aug 15,2020 along with other items and everything went well, but one item is a mirror. Not once did they contact me or tell me I had to schedule a delivery time and I called multiple times and literally had to track them down myself. In several attempts to see where my order was because it was now past the expected delivery date they still didn't tell me about scheduling a time or date. They had me calling the shipping department, customer service and now that it's sept 1st, I called and had me on hold for quite some time and still NO ONE TOLD ME I HAD TO SCHEDULE A TIME. I'm asking where my item was and was going to cancel it and then they told me I had to set up a time a date. Ummm. Where was this information when I placed the ordered on Aug 15th? There was no email to notify me of it, nor did any one tell me the 5x that I called to follow up. NEVER BUYING FROM THEM AGAIN!
I ordered a crib, mattress, and changing table from pottery barn kids on May 30 for my baby due in early September. We received one update from them in July, letting us know that the order was delayed to end of July/early August.
Upon calling, we realized they had everything but the mattress, but were holding it all. We asked them to split the order so we could start to get baby's room together. We received the changing table but never got any update on the crib.
Over the next month, I called them more than 5 times. I was assured every step of the way that I would get calls back, delivery scheduled, and get the crib before baby came. Two weeks before I was scheduled to go to the hospital, a rep promised me I would have the items in 7-10 days. A week later, another rep promised I would be getting a call to schedule delivery in two days. Three days later I was able to schedule the crib for delivery for four days after my baby was scheduled to be born, but only by cancelling the mattress order.
When I tried the direct line to the person that had been helping me to get a refund for the cancelled mattress, it did not work.
This has been an unacceptably difficult process, and I would strongly suggest never ordering furniture from this company.
I have been trying to receive information about a crib/mattress/toddler conversion set that has been backordered for the past 2 months. No one returns my calls in the customer service department. I've been told that the crib has been sitting in a distribution center for weeks but cannot be shipped because the mattress is backordered. They will not split the order up for delivery and I am not allowed to cancel the mattress portion of my order. My credit card has been charged for the full purchase price. I will not order from this company again!
I ordered a backpack for my little girl over a month ago. I was emailed saying it would ship around August 6-10th. I checked today 8/12 and it's saying it will ship August 14-18. So now I'm going to have to buy another backpack for my KINDERGARTEN baby until this one gets here. I called customer service and the girl was not super friendly and said she wasn't sure what was going on but it would take a couple days to figure it out. She said she could cancel my order or give me a $5 merchandise credit because "your order was only $35 so if I gave you anymore the backpack would be free." Uhhhhh what?! That makes zero sense! I will NEVER buy anything from here again! Terrible customer service and even worse communication!
Worst customer service I have ever dealt with and will not shop here again! Needed a replacement piece for my daughters crib due to the original piece being damaged. After numerous phone calls and two months later I finally received the part but it was the wrong part. After calling again I was then told that the part I need isn't available for replacement and I'm just out of luck. Worst experience ever! Don't shop here.
