PBK has the worst customer service ever, does NOT stand behind their products, I gave a GIFT of a backpack and matching lunchbox that was monogrammed and was alerted to the fact that after 3 weeks of gently use the straps were coming un-stitched, I promptly returned the backpack and reordered. I did receive an email that my package was on it's way and I let the recipient know that it was all taken care of. Only after 2 weeks NOTHING was delivered. ONLY then when I made the telephone calls did i hear that my package was backordered, after several times calling, i hear they now NO LONGER carry my pattern, will not allow me to have a replacement set unless i go to the recipient and ASK FOR MY GIFT BACK? Are you kidding me? They are not only waiting for their replacement part but now i have to ask for the lunchbox back too? LET'S SEE HOW THE REP WOULD FEEL ASKING ABOUT GETTING A GIFT BACK FROM SOMEONE THEY GAVE. TO. Muliple hours of phone calls and disappointment, order canceled. Their loss, will no longer ever shop there again. Also plan to rewrite review after review until the world knows how poorly they treat people. If only they watched this site, you think they would change their ways as i do not see anyone that cares for their customer service dept.

Awfullll very awful wish I've could of read the reviews before I made the purchase! I order a backpack for my daughter with overnight delivery! One day no show second day no show I call and yes very bad customer service looks like am calling to a house with a bunch of kids on the back, now I get that surprise ugly freaking surprise, the one when they done telling you the bad news, you tell yourself I $#*!en knew this was a scam! Yeah that one! Backorder and it won't get thei to freaking DECEMBER REALLLY YOU CHARGE ME CLOSE TO 30 dollars for overnight delivery! The worst evvvvertrrr don't buy look at the reviews first!
Ordered a backpack 6 weeks before my granddaughter's birthday. About a week before her birthday, was informed that it was on back order. It is 12 weeks since I ordered it and am now informed that it will be another 3 weeks at least.
Why would anyone order something with this service?
The size of the bed were off by an inch width and length.
I ordered the mattress from el Dorado, to match it and now all of the box springs are visible due to poorly dimensions
I sincerely hate to write this review because I like the product, however the ordering and customer service experience is horrible. Every time I go to order it appears things are available on the website and when you select for your cart when you get ready to check out it will say back ordered or not available. Today I receive a sale e-mail at midnight, go on at 5 am to order and it's there but when I try to purchase no longer available and when you call the customer service agent acts rude before I even tell her what's happening... I have to say I'm done with Pottery Barn Kids now. It's not once in awhile it's every single time. Not to mention half of the nice items you can't get in store.
Horrible experience worst customer service. I do not advise ordering online because if you have to deal with their customer service it's a nightmare. Supervisor doesn't even want to speak to their customers, so basically useless at their job.
We ordered a bunk bed and matching dresser. Upon arrival, the bunk bed was badly damaged and the dresser was wrong. The dresser delivered was from West Elm. Both items were returned with the promise of an expedited delivery of a new bunk bed and correct dresser. After waiting 3 weeks, a very unhelpful driver arrived with a bunk bed and dresser. However, the bunk bed had no slats making it unusable. We tried to call customer service to determine how long it will take to deliver bed slats but the driver insisted he didn't have time to wait. All items were returned and we are still waiting for our full refund.
I have purchased a kids bed from Pottery Barn Kids and both of my kids got injured due to poorly design. Fairly quickly I have contacted them to return the item but they have disagreed to return the item before they have investigator perform the investigation on the design at my home, even that they have that design on their hands. After having the investigator, who has agreed verbally that this design have potential design issues that are hazardous, Pottery Barn Kids employee Perry Silvia has denied my claim and due to his unprofessional decision, my kids are still exposed to safety hazards from their design. I strongly advice all of the parents to analyze all of the kids products before buying them because Pottery Barn Kids do not care about the safety of our kids.
I would love to see this place go out of business. Nice stuff, but WAY overpriced. Which I wouldn't mind if there was a pottery barn within at least 30 miles of my home. Because I'm not paying a ludacrous $30 shipping and "processing fee". Then they have "20% off + Free Shipping" which doesn't work because of course "exclusions apply" and you can't find a damn thing it actually works for. Maybe the shipping is so expensive because no one is actually stupid enough to buy from this place online. I'm annoyed because I actually like the product and am willing to pay, but the shipping and processing cost is outrageous.
Just wanted to take a moment to recognize Pottery Barn Kids for being super reliable in the 15 or so orders of polka dot baby blankets that I've bought from them over the last 8 years. Each one was personalized and my friends looove them! Most of the time I'm amazed that these blankets (each personalized and shipped all over the country) arrive well before their projected delivery date... especially in the Greater NYC area where I lived. I think only 2 required an extra week or so doing to being back ordered, but they were shipped in a reasonable timeframe and were worth the wait.
2 weeks ago I ordered a birthday gift for my granddaughter. It was to have arrived this past Tuesday, the party is Saturday.
When I checked on delivery there were no updates. I checked with customer service PBK and was told after about a 30 minute call the shipment appeared to be lost. I asked why I was not alerted, the rep did not know but ordered a replacement expedited and I was assured it would arrive the next day, today, Thursday. I was given an order number.
When i went back into the Pottery Barn Kids site to get the tracking number the system said delivery next week. I called PBK immediately and when the rep could not answer my concerns i asked for a supervisor. After several minutes on hold I was told customers were waiting as much as 45 minutes on hold for a supervisor. I asked if there was only one supervisor but was assured that was not the case.
I could only communicate through the rep to the supervisor and back by Skype. SAD! This tells me customers are so disappointed with Pottery Barn that supervisors are booked up for hours on calls. Or supervisors do not want to work directly with customers and not do the job they are being paid to do but make their reps handle all.
What does that tell you about either how PBK is managed or the quality of their merchandise.
It looks like my granddaughter will not get my present before her birthday. DON'T SHOP AT POTTERY BARN KIDS YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!
I ordered a customized chair for my grand daughter in July for her Sept birthday. Order said delivery in PLENTY of time to arrive for her birthday. Just learned the item is now backordered and scheduled to arrived 2 weeks AFTER her birthday. I am beyond disappointed!
My wife and her family love pottery barn as I will agree they have some beautiful furniture, decor etc. I always joke when they order something that their is always an issue with the product: it's broken, chipped, not all the parts were included, the packaging ruined the product. You would think for a high end company they would have their $#*! together. Everything we have ordered, we (our family) has at least 3 of each product because they screw something! They must spend more money resolving the issues and losing out on the profit of the product. They really need to look into their business model and make changes or they will be going bankrupt.
This past Thursday (8/16), I went to the Pottery Barn Kids in the Short Hills Mall in NJ to buy gifts for the birthday of twin girls of 6 yrs. While looking at some bedroom lamps I realized maybe this was too expensive a gift for 6 years old girls and not what I would like to buy. I asked the sales woman about her advice / suggestion to help me out and to my huge disappointment she advised me to go to Macy's as I may find better range or go to Target and indicated that stuff at Pottery Barn Kids is very expensive (though there were things that were less that $25 and I had over 5 times that budget). I was amazed at her behavior as 1) she was judging me for my financial standing and 2) being unethical to her employer and had the audacity to push the customer out instead of finding ways to assist. I so regret not having taken her name, however, I strongly appeal to the Potter Barn Kids management to try and identify the person based on this account and date at which it happened and take action to fix it.

I went online to try to cancel the order, but couldn't. I then called customer service and was told I could not cancel the order nor use my coupon because the order had gone into FULFILLMENT. What?
I do most of my shopping online and have NEVER had a problem cancelling an order 30 minutes after my confirmation! She did tell me that I could return it after I received it and I specifically asked if the delivery fees would be returned also and she said YES. I then looked on their website and it states: Delivery Fees - Delivery fees are non-refundable and prior purchases are not eligible for price adjustments.
This company has HORRIBLE customer service and I will not be purchasing anything from them again. That is such a shame because I have spent so much money buying the crib, dresser, chair, ottoman, rug and much more from PBK. And, now they won't let me cancel a $119.00 item!
My new goto is RH Baby and Child and they will let you cancel an order after 30 minutes of the order confirmation.
Never ever again! First, false advertisement of products online. Second the worst customer service ever. I ordered infant car seat which suppose to come with the wheels as advertised on the website with pictures and description. However, when I called customer service an hour after placing an order online to varify if it does they said that product doesn't come with wheels and I cannot add it either. I asked to cancel the order but they said it's too early I need to call 24 hours later to do it. Also customer service rep said I can't return it bcuz item is on sale which is not true since there's no mantioning of it being on sale on the web site. I specifically read shipping and return policy and it said that I have 30 days to return this particular item. When I called 24 hours later they said it's too late the order is already processed for shipping and I can't return it because it's custom made which is another lie bcuz it's just a regular car seat without anything custom made about it. Two different customer service reps and two different bull$#*! stories. On sale and custom made?!?! Not to mention everything is done in very condescending tone. I asked to speak to the supervisor but they said he's not available. They took my info saying that he'll get in touch with me but nobody ever did. This is completely unacceptable they need to be shut down!

The overall delivery was great! The men who moved the dresser into the house were very friendly and super fast! They didnt leave one scrap behind and even gave us pointers on the legs being adjustable if the floor is uneven!
As for how long it took to receive this dresser... I ordered it in the beginning of March and it came July 29th. Also they had told me it had been at the warehouse since July 3 but they couldnt find it. I had to call multiple people every week to follow up as I was instructed by customer service. I had to finally have my mother jump in as I was getting so frustrated and they finally found it and shipped it out.
I also had created a pottery barn kinds registry and half of the stuff on it was backordered and I still have not received a lot of it! I have never had this happen at another store. I think pottery barn kids need to work on their replenishment and maybe not worry so much about their overhead and worry more about having product for their customers as its going to drive a lot of customers away.

Im very disappointed with my order. I ordered the snow cat faux fur lounger on April 7 2018. It was supposed to come May 15. It never came no email or anything. I finally wrote them and they got back to me a couple days later. They said it would come in h middle of June it never did. I called and they said mid July. It finally came on July 18. The chair is very cheaply made. You sit on it and slide off. And it already lost its shape. For a chair almost $200 I was expecting better quality. I cant even return it cause it was on sale. I also think they should have given me a discount or something for waiting so long. I did wanna cancel by my daughters really wanted it for their room. Now Im stuck with a furry lopsided chair that they dont sit in.

They sent my custom order of monogrammed backpacks wrong. Names spelled correctly but the graphic was put on opposing backpacks. Since it was a gift it would be difficult to get the reciever to return it. They wouldnt give me additional items or a different backpack unless I returned the old. I even sent pictures to show their mistake. They offer me 20% credit which I also thought was a lame compensation. I will never shop there again. Its not that they made a mistake but the compensation they gave for the mistake wasnt worth shopping here again if it happened again. Guess this customer isnt worth keeping.

I placed an online order yesterday. It was a customized item, which the item description said it took 1-3 weeks. It would just be on time for a friend's birthday. When I received the order confirmation in the email, it said that the item should be here in four weeks. When I called customer service today, they couldn't tell me when the item would be arrive and they can't cancel the order. They acknowledged that the information listed was inaccurate yet I was told there is nothing they can do for me. Since it is customized, I can't return it either after I receive it. I am super disappointed.
