I don't normally write reviews but this company deserves a 0 rating. I ordered a quilt for my camper in march and since campgrounds don't open until may didnt use it until then. In July I filed a complaint with them that all the strings were falling out of the design and it was going nobby. It was a very expensive 100 percent cotton quilt. They took a month to get back to me and said no sorry its been to long. I escalated that complaint on August 8. I have sent numerous emails asking the status and then finally today they emailed back and after reviewing it, its too long for a refund or replacement. So now I am stuck buying something new. I will never shop there again, my quilt looks awful a walmart quilt looks better then this. This company does not stand behind their products and customer service is a joke.
Ordered a sofa with Performance Everydaylinen by Crypton® Home Oatmeal fabric and it is rough, hard, prickly and itches! Told cannot return sofas's now stuck with $5K sofa we can't sit on and have to cover with bedsheet to use because fabric itches
DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM Pottery Barn! I placed an order 5/7/21 with delivery date of 8/31. Date has changed 3x now I'm being told 2/27-3/11 2022! I'll have no furniture for the holidays. PB blaming on FOAM SHORTAGE. Shouldn't take a year to get furniture!
Why on earth would a big company like pottery barn used a $#*! third party' to deliver? Who the hell is LSO? Never heard of them. First and last time I shop with PB. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
I ordered a backpack with embroidery for my son's first day of school. Not only did I got the wrong backpack (ordered hot wheels, got construction), but it was the wrong size (ordered large, got small). The photo below shows that I ordered a large hot wheels and the label on the bag says small and definitely isn't hot wheels. When I called to get it corrected, they required me to find a box, print a return label and take it to UPS. It was shipped in a plastic bag not a box, and we're in the middle of a pandemic. Now I have to take my newborn into a store to return a bag that was their mistake, not mine. I also have to purchase a box and pay to print the return label because my printer just stopped working. Called back customer service to try to get to a better solution and they were zero help!
I ordered 2 matching chairs but only received one. They delivered one then the second truck came as we were putting the chair in place. They went to our neighbers but left before I could get their attention. They said I refused. Delivery. Not true! Now no one, knows where it is. I waited 5 mo. For delivery then, they lost my chair. Now it's been over a week since they lost my chair. I have called all channels of communications but nothing happens..
Had so much trouble sending something back. Made me pay double shipping on return. Ending up with little more than 1/2 of total I paid. Would not help with situation.
On August 27,2021, at 2:38am, I placed an online order for a backpack bundle with Pottery Barn Kids. My 7 year old son didn't want a backpack with dinosaurs, he wanted something else. The order was scheduled to ship Sept 12-14, two weeks from now. I called customer service on the same day to cancel the order at 10:35am (8 hours later) August 27,2021 and I was told the order could not be cancelled because it was being personalized. I called the Pottery Barn main customer service number and I was told the product was already created and ready to ship. Yet, the scheduled shipping date is two weeks from now. I spent over one hour on the phone trying to cancel this order. I have already lost more time then this order is worth.
I find it hard to believe that Pottery Barn does not have the ability to cancel an order that is cancelled within 8 hours of being placed when the shipping date is two weeks away. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are a scam operation and their customer service is full of professional liars!
Another one star Pottery Barn review! I have ordered a lot of stuff from them lately but the bed was the first that required delivery. After waiting several months, the day finally arrived. They showed up, looked at my bedroom and told me they could not move the existing bed to put the new bed in place. You'd think that would have been a nice thing to tell me BEFORE they showed up, wouldn't you? But no. I went back through the emails I received. Nothing. And this is their supposedly "White Glove" delivery that I paid $249 for! So there's a long time of waiting while they consult up the chain, and finally somebody calls me to tell me that, because of "liability" they can't move anything in my house. Apparently this is a liability that only Pottery Barn knows about, because every other furniture delivery I have received has had no problem dealing with the existing furniture. And apparently they have never heard of liability waivers. The customer service person also told me that this has never been a problem before, and every other customer seems to magically know that they won't lift a finger to deal with existing furniture. So these two big strong men are standing there looking a me, a woman who lives alone, and telling me I have to move this enormous bed BY MYSELF. They wound up leaving the bed in my garage, while I work through the labor shortage and try to find somebody to dismantle my existing bed. And then, to add insult to injury, they made me sign a form that said that I declined set up. I'm SO done with Pottery Barn!
With a $352.00 price tag for the king size linen duvet, you would think that it would not have shredded in the washing machine! I went to local pottery barn store in Sarasota, FL and was told "I never saw anything like this happen before from using bleach, but too bad" Actually she had a lot more unprofessional things to say as well. I have the shams, and draperies that all match so of course I had to spend another $352.00 for another duvet cover. Asked for a discount and she told me it would be a waste of her time to ask.
Then contacted customer service by phone and she was sympathetic and assured me that someone would contact me. STILL WAITING!
Pottery Barn is simply to pricey to not stand behind their products. I won't be shopping in any of their stores or affiliated stores. My husband thanks you!
I have spent $10,000.00 at Pottery Barn from Oct 2020 - July 29th 2021. I have bought marble topped tables, a leather chair and ottoman, 3 Baskets, 4 window panels, a shower curtain, oil diffuser, 2 duvet covers and 8 pillows and 8 monogram cups. The tables all had fractured tops, the chair is stiff and uncomfortable. The baskets, as they dried out, cracked and broke. Pottery barn would not swap out or repair or refund the basket. For the tables I was offered $50.00 and the chair they would not even try to help. I bought everything except the notebooks at full price. I highly suggest AVOIDING POTTERY BARN. Go anywhere else.
I usally don't write a review about any company, but I must share this review. I bought a painting from this company. They failed to deliver the painting by the estimated delivery date without giving me a prior notice. They pushed out the estimated delivery date four times, each time without any prior notice. I called like 20 times to find out the delivery status, and the customer servicer had no idea. I tried to cancel the order because I needed to order something else to meet my timeline, and they wouldn't let me cancel the order. They are holding my order in hostage, dictating the terms of the purcahse contract. How unfair is this? This is an abuse of corporate power by a big company like Pottery Barns against a powerless customer like me. I would never buy anything from this company so long as I live.
I am an astute shopper and make sure I read reviews before purchases. I also am familiar with Pottery Barn, and had previously regarded them as a firm that sold quality products
I searched for an art trolley online. One, by Honey-Can-Do, was $70. It had weak reviews, which mainly focused on the poor quality of the product, and the "rickety" nature of the trolley once it was completed.
So, I purchased a similar-looking product on the Pottery Barn site for $149. It was so similar-looking that I check thoroughly to see if it was actually the Honey-Can-Do product. As it was mentioned nowhere, I concluded it must be a superior product, given the price.
It arrived. I put it together. It seemed cheap. The "wood" split in places, and it was not stable. Only then did I notice on the outer box the words "Honey-Can-Do".
I complained, and asked for a price match. Pottery Barn refused.
I consider this to be outrageous and unethical behavior from Pottery Barn, as they hid the brand of the product until it was sent, and used the cover of their own brand to price gouge their customer, charging twice the normal market value of the product.
Do yourself a favor Don't shop at Pottery Barn if you feel customer service is the key to being satisfied with your retailer and product. I ordered a bookcase, hadn't even been delivered yet and it went on sale. They wouldn't honor the sale price bc it's 3 days after my order was placed. So I canceled the order, mind you it still wasn't delivered, but I was still Charged for shipping. How can you be charged for shipping when you didn't even receive anything!
Worse customer service EVER! Clearly this company isn't about repeat customers, or praise by word of mouth. I would spend 10x as much from any company that gives Customer satisfaction! That's why I'm loyal to RH.
To my celeb friends, heed my warning, you only get honesty from me.
So excited! McKenna jewelry box that I've wanted was 50% off today! Reg price $299… Got to register price is $179. Saleswoman agreed it was $150. She brought young manager up who said $179. WAS half of $299.! I have spent thousands of dollars in that Crossgate Mall Pottery Barn but I'll never spend another nickel there! Deborah Rimkunas
Nothing but order delays and excuses. After 3rd delay, I called to cancel and was told they couldn't do that because they would have to submit a request through their vendor. I explained to them that I ordered through Pottery Barn not their vendor. They didn't care. Definitely made the message clear that they are not in the business of maintaining customers or any sort of ethics.
I placed an order for a pair of bookends that took three months to arrive broken. Cast iron was clean snapped off at the base. The pieces weren't in the box which meant they shipped it broken from the warehouse. They offered me a 20% refund on the broken one or I could return them for a full refund. I wanted a replacement but they said the item had been discontinued. I chose the full refund and I asked the lady on the phone if I needed to bring anything else. She said I was good to go and all I needed was the item. So I drove all the way across town to our local UPS store and they couldn't find it in their system. I ended up calling Pottery Barn FIVE times to correct the issue. I ended up having to email UPS which they were kind enough to tell me there was a small charge for that, then after everything looked good they wanted to charge me for a box and packing materials ($10) which I didn't have. The customer service guy "James" kept telling me I could use any box I wanted. I had already told him I was at the store. They don't just give those away. So I wasted an HOUR of my time to walk back out with the item I was trying to return, I'm out the gas money to get to and from and now I can't get my $100 back for these stupid bookends. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMMIE COMPANY!
One of the wooden supports under my sofa cracked after I simply sat down one night. I am a 185 lb man. I paid over $2300 for this couch, and my seat now sinks to such an angle, the low back discomfort makes it intolerable. We spoke with them twice on the phone. They said they will not fix it or pay to fix it. I'm adding photos from both sides to show the size of the crack, and the obviously weak piece of wood they used as a support.
In February we order a sectional sofa with a delivery date of 12 weeks for April 2016. After 6 weeks we got a notification that the delivery was changed to May 2016. Then a week later it was changed again to June 2016. In May to our surprise we got another notification that the estimated delivery was the last two weeks in May. The tracking data was completely inaccurate. We called and were told that one piece not completed yet. When we expresses out disappointment, the customer service reps only response was, "You haven't paid for it yet". This was completely inappropriate. We entered into a contractural agreement with Pottery Barn and they have failed to follow through responsibility. I'm sure the fine print states they cannot be held to a delivery date. However, I get at least 7 emails a week from Pottery Barn for sales on items with 12 weeks delivery knowing perfectly well that they have no intention of delivering on time. I'm tired of hearing the excuse that it's the COVID-19 Pandemic. Too bad, determine the schedule of your products you should be out of business. Then again it's the customer's that control that, which is why I'm writing this review.
If I cancelled and went with someone else, I would be in the same situation. With my luck, the sectional will shipped, my credit card will be charged, it will arrive, with major problems and then I'll have to deal with that.
Pottery Barn, WAKE UP, and be responsible to your customers. If it's going to take 6 months say 6 months, if it's 9 months, say 9 months. Don't lead us on.
I ordered a bed on Dec 11 and it was supposed to come in Feb. It was "delivered" on April 15th. However, the specs did not match what I was given when I bought it and it had manufacturing defects so it could not be assembled. They had to take it back. When they ordered the replacement they told me I have to wit until mid-Aug to get the bed. I spent hours on the phone today and they kept bouncing me between delivery and furniture depts. Nobody takes responsibility and they blame a third party that I should contact. Pottery Barn retains my $3,645 for a bed for over 8 months until they can deliver something to me. They should not be allowed to do this and their customer service practices should be improved. I would NEVER buy another thing from them. They don'. T value their customers
Answer: Same, was told we would have a light first week of October, now December also. I hope they do go under. Don't get me started on the last thing I bought for $999, then the price changed to $499. So angry, will NEVER shop there again.
Answer: We have the same problem. Our couch is two years old and we will need to replace it this year. Back Cushions are rumpled and seat cushions have a ton of little piling.
