I've sold a few orders that had been put up for return and this last one was a 4 shirt and shorts bundle. The 4 shirts were BRAND NEW my Mom bought them and they were tried on and then Not liked so I posted them. The shorts were listed as used and torrid sz. 20 from 2010.
The buyer recieved the items and claims that two shirts aren't 'identical' and are a bit shorter (the photos showed that.) Also she said one of the short shirts has 'oily stains all splattered on it." However I took a photo before Ivmailed it it and and it was fine.
Then she goes on to say the shorts are too tight and her size 20 torrid shorts are bigger... she even sent a photo of the two. I'm sure in the last 7 years torrid has changed the way they cut their sizes a bit and everyone knows denim is all cut differently.
Poshmark, with my photos and proof that this lady just had buyers remorse, HONORED THE RETURN. $45 worth of money I should have recieved. Not to mention my time to nicely wrap each item in tissue, write a long thank you card and stick some samples in the box. That all cost me money. I am going to be even more pissed if every thing doesn't end up back in that box. The buyer is always right. Not like a seller could want their money back and splash something on their recently bought item by mistake or on purpose and then claim damaged item and you--the seller-- have to accept it. Because they don't protect their sellers at all. They take their commission and run.
Poshmark is such a joke. Theres so many negative reviews for buyers but sellers have it just as bad. Anything thats sold for over $15 they take a whopping 20% commission.
They have a failed system that allow consumers to report supposed counterfeit items and the moderator would remove listings without actual proof.
I listed an authenic Louis Vuitton purse that was a birthday gift from my mother that was purchased at the retail store at South Coast Plaza. I no longer have the paper insert or booklet and still had the dust bag and retail box. According to a fellow person on Poshmark, she said that my bag is a counterfeit and a replica due to looking at the date stamp on my photograph.
My listing was automatically removed soon after. Im beyond furious that my authentic bag was deemed to be counterfeit based on someones sole opinion. The system is flawed and allows consumers who are not professional luxury item authenicators to falsely report legitimate items. I sent Poshmark a copy of my receipt to appeal my listing being removed but still havent heard back from them.
I will be taking my business elsewhere. Its not worth the time and headache to sell on this website.
I had several bad experiences with Poshmark. Some sellers do not ship orders. Some are very vague when describing their items. Others do not tell the truth about their items. I had a seller down right lie to me about an item. Told me a top was a womens size large (which was what I wanted) when it was a girls size large. I opened a case and Poshmark sided with the seller. Poshmark sides up with the seller even if they dishonestly describe their items. You are stuck with the item no matter what. Be assured, I am not saying all sellers on this site are bad. I am sure there are plenty of dishonest buyers too. I am just stating that you are taking a chance when you buy on this site. No refunds! Poshmark is money hungry. I've read so many negative reviews from buyers and sellers. I would not recommend them to anyone. What does this tell you? DO NOT BUY FROM POSHMARK!
Poshmark doesn't release $ to sellers until buyer confirms they received it. My biggest gripe with poshmark as a seller & a buyer is ridiculous shipping charges. $7 for a tshirt or a ring. No thanks. Plus i have to take that added cost into consideration when trying to sell my items that poshmark takes a % of on top of the inflated shipping. It does offer discount shipping at times but with sites like Amazon having free express shipping. Why would most spend $ for shipping?
I ordered Apt 9 slim capris, the tag on them says size 12, I have 3 other pairs that have size 12 on them and I sent them photos of the capris together, showing the difference in the sizes. Well it doesn't matter if you can wear them or not. You are stuck with that item. I will not buy anything else from them and closed my account
I've been a seller and buyer on poshmark. The sellers do exactly what you can do on your own without the price mark up. Bargain hunt, shop at revolve, shop wholesale sites... Sellers aren't protected at all. Buyers get buyers remorse and makeup reasons to return or damage your item to get a refund. Poshmark does not care. I promise. I've been through it more than once. You will have an ulcer and be out money owed to you and you'll be on your own because their "team" does not care. I read the poor reviews and thought I'd give it a shot but deeply regret it. Try Mercari. Selling fee is 10% and in general things posted on poshmark are on Mercari at a cheaper price because the selling fee is less. Practically everyone lists on both places if not more.
Be careful using Poshmark They automatically charge your PayPal account or card with a pre-approval stating you agreed to. You will find a charge for maybe $1000 one day and you won't be happy! Be careful.
I've been buying on poshmark for the past year. I just found out that the approve and authorize is just a bunch of BS.
I received an item a few weeks ago and as soon as I opened it and saw how cheap it was compared to the actual ad
I went back on the website and found the only link provided to say I do not want this. I completed the form to let them know the item is not as described.
Their response: they released funds from my PayPal account. Now I am in the process of disputing this.
If you think you have any options on this website, you're wrong.
So basically, I can list a brand new piece of lingerie. Send you a pair of dirty underwear and when you clearly don't want them... TOO BAD..
Poshmark has easy streamline listings but then to sell something you have share and join parties, its confussing (why would you not post how to videos to clearly show how to properly participate in a site like yours!?!) I have tried watching you tube videos on the process of participation, but none of them are very good. I guess if you are someone who wants to share yours and other sellers items all over social media and join parties to advertise/share your items daily, maybe this site will work for you, but if you arent a social media guru or have a life outside your phone, this isnt likely a good selling site for you!
Had made 90.00 from some sales. It disappeared into PM coffers and I now have to spend time trying to get it back... why would anyone use this site... they are total crooks
Buyer lluvia123 bought my item, then cancelled, claiming it was purchased by mistake. It was repurchased by the same buyer and after receiving it, changes her mind again, but this time claims its not authentic. I didnt have a receipt for my year old used item proving authenticity. Poshmark decided to refund the buyers money on the unproven claim that the item was not authentic. Dont waste your time selling used items on Poshmark unless you have receipts or proof something is authentic in the event you are questioned about it.
I tried to find some merchandise I have in mind and I noticed that some of the sellers from poshmark have the same item listed in ebay. I thought you can get a great amount of saving buying from poshmark seller?
Stay away from them.
I purchased a coat on Poshmark. Their sellers have 7 days to ship your purchase. I have not received a shipping email and it has been over 11 days nor has poshmark responded to me other than with an automated generic email.
Seller Luxyvip sells thousands of high end counterfeit Coach bags on Poshmark. He's not just a regular garden variety seller. I left my review and then "people" on postmark who know the seller started cyberbullying me for my honest reviews and experience that I had with Luxyvip on Poshmark. Right now my bank is investigating this fiasco. If I would've know this app has people employed in India, I would've never downloaded it. My cell caught a virus from Poshmark and an un-authorized sale was made also on my account once I filed a complaint.
I ordered a Coach Bag. It was not the slightest as it was listed. I requested a refund, to which they stated NO. Claimed I should have asked more questions to the seller. The bag was pricey. Poshmark offered me a $5 credit. Woo... I don't know about you, but I have to "try" a purse on before I decide if it's a keeper. A bag has to "mold" to a woman's body. I will now stick with buyers on Ebay that offer a return. Just ridiculous that there is a "no return policy." Ciao Poshmark!
As I started with Poshmark, I was enamored with the ease of posting items. Loved it. UNTIL, I had a scammer of a client on the other end of my sale. Poshmark immediately took their side, demanded a return, no matter my guarantee its authentic LV purse in new condition with pictures proven. They sided with buyer, who then, when never returned the item. So, they had to agree, I was correct they wanted the purse for free. THEN, AGAIN... my personal Hermès belt bought at the store, I never used so sold it. I got an instant 5 star rating, THEN Poshmark, pulled listing making client question authentic. They then shut my site down permanently! I dont have the belt, I dont have their so called proof! Give me belt and Ill take it to Hermès in Highland Park Village, Dallas and get REAL proof. You have slandered my reputation and business. This site sadly disappointed me. I am now losing income, due to their ignorance. I have seeked legal assistance and they will be hearing from my attorney. This is ridiculous! Sad to hear all the stories from the buyer side on this site too. Deeply offended. Research your facts Poshmark! Get fashion savvy help that does understand the words like faux, not pertaining to my belt. A faux pearl necklace that got pulled from my listing for being fake or counterfeit. The word FAUX means that... I might be from Texas but that does not me we are faxing the pearls! Educate yourself past high school!
Very unhappay as a seller on Poshmark, sold one thing the first day and since nothing. It seems more like a social media site than a business site.
Have hundreds of followers but no sales, don't understand how anyone makes money selling on Poshmark. I must be doing something wrong...
Do not sign up for Poshmark. I recently had an issue where a seller sold me garbage for a high price. I was out of town so I did not open my package until 5 days later. After 3 days, apparently they cant help you out. They just give you a $60 credit. Which is a waste because I would never shop on this site again. The seller has had no repercussions what so ever. Poshmark is no for the consumers.
I have purchased 5 items off of Poshmark and so far so good! A lot of the items I have bought are either new with tags or gently used and they were almost identical to what was pictured and arrived in a timely manner. I don't understand why Poshmark is getting such a bad wrap? I LOVE IT! It's been a great way for me to find the brands I love without paying full price. I am also aware of the items being sold though- I look at the sellers profile, take a look at the other items they have sold too. If something isn't showing well for example - a dress being laid out on an old floor or on a gross mattress, or the photo of the item appears blurry - I don't buy it. Some of the sellers on here definitely appear to be sketchy, but I am pretty aware of consignment clothes since I have done my share of both buying and selling in the past. Just be mindful!
I am SO glad I read the reviews PRIOR to even looking at the items or placing an order! This is RIDICULOUS. People just need to stop buying from them period. Instead, somehow make all this go viral because businesses are hurt when their pockets are affected. And also, consumers need to stop looking at items that appear to be gorgeous, etc and they cost $19.99 or $29.99. C'mon people, don't you think that most times the price seems way below average cost!? Welp, most times you get what you pay for. This site clearly is reaping benefits from ladies that just aren't thinking. Hope this review helps someone along the way. DON'T BUY, LEAVE THEM HANGING HIGH!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
