Poshmark is the most expensive selling platform out there. You make a $20 sale, you get $16 oof it. They pocket the rest of YOUR money.
II made an order 10 days ago, and seller never shipped. They said they gave me a refund and it's nowhere to be found. I have sent many, many emails to PM support all I get is tons no reply emails. Now have escalated dispute with paypal. No human contact in 10ndats, none. And no refund. This app is a total rip off to all sellers. They pocket your money sitting at desks shooting the breeze while they pocket our money. And don't issue refunds on a failed and cancelled sale. Very very disgusted with Poshmark. Poorly managed. No help or any support from humans. And they keep YOUR own hard earned money. Sellers are better anywhere but rip off poshmark. $10 sale equals $7 for you. $15 sale, you make $12. Get my point?
I am no longer shopping at Podhmsrk because I am tired of getting mediocre quality merchandise. The pics make the item look good. However, once received it is a different story. And you cannot return the item. I bought shoes in my size and then received they were too small. And I could not return them. That is nonsense. A seller could be deceitful and there is no tecoirse. It is a Gamble and I am done playing the game..
I can't even express how horrible Poshmark is. The customer service is rude, they do not acknowledge complaints or questions, they straight up ignore seller and buyer issues, they make the most minor of situations incredibly difficult, they have not paid me for one of my sold items... I could go on and on. I will be reporting them to the BBB. My experience with them has been offensive and stressful. So unnecessary for something that should be fun. Poshmark is a really bad boyfriend that cheats and ignores communication. I despise them. Do not do business with them!
I gave Poshmark one last chance after several bad experiences but now I am done. Sellers are dishonest and don't disclose damage to items. They act like it's brand new or used only once with no wear and then you get it and it has a big rip or is falling apart. I like to buy purses and many of them from all different buyers were fraying and coming apart at the handles to the point that I would have to have them repaired or they would fall apart in a week. Conveniently, these damages were not visible in the photos. Before buying I asked some sellers to provide more photos or be more specific about the item's condition but they either lied or once again provided photos that hid the damage. By the way, this never happens on EBay. I'm done.
They allow buyers to send goods back and even when you receive an empty box back they will simply send you a standard email. So the buyer has your stuff and you gave nothing. Stay away
I really loved this site when I first started selling a few years ago. Put up with the insanely high fees because of the ease of the shipping labels. But the customer service has gotten worse, and there is almost no recourse against crazy buyer scams.
I recently sold an item of clothing in flawless condition to a buyer who then tore it in order to send back (strict return policy prevents sending items back unless damaged). Poshmark refused to give me the money from the sale, without any reason for siding with the buyer, despite the fact that I had pics pre-sale. I have a friend who had the same thing happen to her twice. Ruined item AND no money for sale. It also takes them way too long to respond to complaints, if they respond at all. Aside from it not being worth the hassle I'm leaving on principle. Seller beware!
Bought a "sweater" that was in no way as described, tags torn out, total trash, the photos were copied from web and NOT actual item. The seller denied my request to return and refund. Poshmark would not respond to my emails or requests. I will never buy anything from Poshmark again they have horrible customer service and not worth the risk when Amazon and Ebay provide excellent customer service. DONT RISK OR WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Bought a footjoy sweater last week. Came in and was obviously shrunk. Wasn't even close to the original size. Sent picture to poshmark and they said sizes may vary and I have to keep the item! It looks like a kids sweater. I'm done with poshmark
I bought a top that was probably from a "Seconds" shop. The sizing was way off, no one would want to be stuck with. The Seller did not care, Poshmark did not care. It is a total gamble to buy on there. Not worth throwing your money away. The top in the photo was supposed to be a small. It would be huge even for a large person. The buyer tried to say it was the style, & she just sold it because she never wore it.
I have not had good experience on Poshmark. As a buyer I find that items may take over a week to ship (twice), arrive with undisclosed damage (twice), & orders cannot be returned because of fit (I have been stuck with items I cannot wear three times). I have also sold a few things, but buyers made ridiculously low offers (even though I priced below the sold category on Ebay, they were still looking for a further 50% off!). Poshmark holds the money so you have to request to get it unlike other sites where you get the money direct to you. Fees are high in relation to value. Is there anything I like about this site? Not really... cannot recommend for buying or for selling.
First time ordering item. My credit card was charged immediately. 10 days later item still not shipped. Tried to email poshmark twice. All I received was a canned reply. Canceled order and asked for refund, but after reading these reviews I do not have high hopes. This website needs to be shut down.
I sold my Hermes Apple Watch Band on September 19,2018 and shipped it
Overnight using a tracked Fed Ex package. Because I did not use the
Shipping label provided by Poshmark, they canceled the order and is
Refusing to pay me my portion of the earnings. I attempted to contact
Them through the only means you are able to contact them (I'm thinking
That this is due to the numerous complaints they must receive), which is
A short contact form that is submitted to them. You receive an
Automated response thanking you for your email and to let you know that
They will be in touch soon. NOPE, sorry, I have emailed them over 20
Times since October 5th 2018. It is now October 30th 2018 and still no
Response at all from Poshmark Support. They will not acknowledge me at
All. The buyer even contacted them and let them know she received the
Item, but still nothing. Buyer states that when the transaction was
Canceled the first time, her funds were returned. They asked her if she
Would like to repurchase the item so that it will show as sold again vs
Canceled, and she told them yes. They have kept her payment and refused
To pay me my portion of that sale.
Just wondering what Poshmark will do about counterfeit items being sold on here especially at a high price? Ive reported some people on here and have gotten no response. Its very simple for people to purchase replicas online for cheap at most, but for sellers to lie to people and get away with it is disheartening. Seriously, i thought these users would get disbanded. I have read seller's "stories" and they are silly pure lies.
After you order the seller has to get the shipping label, so it'll take awhile to receive product. Also customer service doesn't answers emails. I realized a few hours after I ordered, that it wasn't really that great of a deal and what if they don't fit me but there's no way to cancel the order. So be pretty sure you want it, take your time. Lastly, I think the only reason you can return is if the product didn't match description. But what I'd f they don't fit? I don't think they can be returned for that reason. For these reason, I will hesitate to order from Poshmark.
I found the perfect sequin cardigan to wear with my dress for a wedding. Thinking I would have the cardigan well before the wedding this weekend, I stopped stressing about having to find something. It's been a week and 2 days and the seller still has not mailed it. I followed all the recommendations of the Poshmark support, but nothing. Never again will I purchase another thing from here! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! This places needs to just shut down or start holding the sellers accountable!
I ordered a white sateen Lilly Pulitzer size 6 jeans *******@saleprincess of poshmark. The day I received the merchandise I knew it was not a sateen size 6. I had just bought a Lilly Pulitzer Navy Sateen size 6 and the poshmark merchandise I had just received was neither "Sateen" nor a size 6 put side by side with my newly bought Lily Pulitzer. Same day I received it, I wrote to POSHMARK Customer Service-Some Help! They told me to send material composition from both jeans and I did and they agreed it was not the same. If they were not dishonest about the merchandise and I just did'nt like the fit, I would have swallowed the cost. POSHMARK refused to give me my money back. Instead they offered a $20. Credit! Not a way to do business!
I have both a personal and business selling closet on Poshmark. I use the site to sell consigned high end designer items from our boutique, and my personal site to sell my children's clothing and my clothing/shoes. Have had excellent selling experiences with the exception of buyers who make up issues' which is obviously due to buyer's remorse. I sold a pair of suede slip on Trekker shoes, explained they had been worn several times but were in excellent condition, buyer opened a claim stating there were unknown particles on the insoles and due to possible allergies wanted to return them! The particles were a few pieces of lint from cotton socks! Expectations of some buyers are ridiculous. Don't buy preowned shoes if you don't have tolerance for lint,!
The sellers will lie and say they are sending you a brand new item that will fit you, but what you get is a used item that are 3 sizes too small. Then when you try to return them for a refund, they won't get back to you for 5 days and then they tell you they won't refund because its too small or after 72 hours. However, their emails all say that they will get back to you within 24 hours and that it may take longer than expected to get back to you because their email is under construction. THIS IS A SCAM!
Bought a designer blazer from a seller on poshmark.com. Got the blazer after a week delay (which was suspicious) and definitely question its authenticity! Different color and not like the blazer you see online. Immediately contacted support a couple times, and after a few days they email me back to say I'm late and the seller was already paid! I didn't confirm payment to the seller. The rules of engagement are confusing and complicated. Now I have to go through a review with a specialist to determine authenticity and I may not get my money back! There are plenty of other options out there for consignment (The RealReal, Ebay etc), Poshmark won't be a site I use again.
The WORST damn site on the internet. They insta take your money, sellers LIE about the items and drag their butt to ship IF they ship and when you get the item, it's not as described and I have to wait 10-14 business days for a refund! They try to smooth it over with a $5 credit which is laughable. AVOID this site!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
